A landmark that helps define the Bay Area as one of the world's truly beautiful places

Make sure you bring cash for parking and you'll be good. The hile to the top is only .3 miles. Great place to visit for some great views. The trail is fairly easy. My 4 year old daughter did it without help.

Absolutely AMAZING views from here. This particular circular hiking path is entirely paved so it is extremely accessible for folks walking with a cane or in a wheelchair or who just want an easy hike with views for miles and miles.

Breathtaking, the view from Mt. Tam at sunset with fog covering the ocean view, was unexpectedly surreal.

Word to the wise: don't linger long past sunset! Being the last to leave was not super pleasant.

Loved it! Best viewpoint in the whole Bay area. Nice short hikes that u can add to workout or just been in nature. They have a museum and all.

This is a great place to go on a leisurely hike, a date, a casual meeting spot. There’s no restaurants near by so bring your own food and drink. I guarantee you will not be disappointed with the views from up here!!! *as long as it is a clear day*

Take a hat... I've been twice so far and each time burnt my head. It's a long curvy road to get there, but well worth it.

Such a beautiful place to visit, the sleeping lady!! We took a fairly easy trail and the weather was perfect! Bring cash for parking.

The most beautiful and amazing views of the Bay Area you will find. Hike up to the Gardner's shack and look south. On a clear day you can look back at the coastline. This is a must see!
