I would recommend folks to shop here to support the local grocery chain store even though it is smaller store than one in Terra Linda.
Lisa at Flower Dept is wonderful!!! If you have a special flower arrangement or bouquet is needed, please ask Lisa when she’s on duty.

Fresh bagels at Bakery Dept often all sold out by 7 pm. I often look for them in the evening to consume next day. I wish bakery dept will consider making double batch for cheddar cheese bagels in the morning that might last for evening customers.

They always stock Gatorade or Propel powders which will save you a lot of money not buying bottled drinks, environmentally better and still gets your sports drink need. Always available in the section by lemonade powers and other sports drink powder mix.

It’s a smaller scale neighborhood Safeway store which has been in this location at least last 60 years.
We see some staffs who has been here more than 6-7 years. A several longtime staffs are very kind and courteous.

There are 4 self-checkout stations which is great to use when you have only 2-3 items to buy. And the staffs at the self-check out always helped me to correct the items that might have scanned twice or incorrect price was given. Matthew in the morning hours was very prompt and supportive.

The employees at Safeway are great they're all polite they're all courteous they're all friendly they make the store a great place! But the store hardly carries any products I guess they say it's not a full Safeway like the one in Terra Linda! They hardly have any products the only carry a few things it's not a very good store except for the employees! I just put a five-star recommendation for Safeway in San Rafael on B Street because the employees are extremely helpful there. It went back that one price which I was wrong the lady went back and got the right butter for me so Safeway you get five stars because of your employees!

This Safeway is a bit further for me, but is 100% worth the extra time. It's always clean, tidy, and stocked. Employees are helpful and pleasant when you need assistance. Butcher is friendly and helpful. This location has fresher produce and better meat selection than the other one in the immediate area. Parking here is easier than the other one as well.

I just returned from Safeway. I got some deli sandwiches, and their "signature potato salad". I just finished the salad, it was really good. I got 1/2 lb and ate it all, and wished I had more. I also got some other things to and treated myself to a dozen Roses. The flowers are always good, their bakery is great as well. It's like a Grocery store, a flower shop, deli and bakery all in one. The selection is overwhelming, but you will probably be happy with this store.

I was at the Floral Dept today and helped by the talented,Julia. What a wonderful experience. Julia made these flowers pop with her magical touch. She was quick too.
Her bouquet was met with tears of joy! It was a dear friends 79th birthday! Thank you, Julia!! Safeway is lucky to have you!!

Was on the road, needed something quick. Got two ham n turkey sandwiches. They were just like I ordered. The server made sure by repeating my order. In, out and back on the road to get ahead of the commute. Thanks.

Thank you San Rafael Safeway bakery department for making delicious rice crispy treats! We bought some on Friday, and I ate them today. They were still fresh, delicious, and a lovely summer treat!

Big and spacious store. They don't carry everything that I am used to buying so I had to compensate for that and buy something else. I also can't stand the parking lot it's small it's narrow and too easy to run into somebody else

It's tiny but they fit a lot of stuff in my lil B street Safeway store. Even when they are super busy they keep the line moving and if there's a price discrepancy (rare) they handle it nicely and in your favor. Always new and interesting produce (got a gorgeous Buddha's Hand there last month, speaking of...)

This safeway is one if the smaller ones in central san rafael, bit busy, because it is the only grocery store around that area. I hardy go in there but this time I was really impressed by Dayton the assistant mgr..who walked and assisted me in finding products there since it just not my regular Safeway I go to. I asked him when certain products are coming in and he told me etc..which I usually do not see managers that informed and he was busy doing stuff around the store..you usually see managers walk around ..not actually doing things..I have been to almost every Safeway in marin county..besides terra linda one I live near ..this one san rafael is really impressive besides some of staff I encountered..the also I return a couple items at customer service she was really nice also, Ansil..not sure if she was a manager there..but I was blown away at their customer service overall..

Great store! The deli is outstanding! Produce is always fresh. The store is always organized a lot of sales

This Safeway is a hidden gem in kind of a rough area of san Rafael. The cake decorator/ Baker makes phenomenal bakery treats , the best of any of the other Safeway bakeries that I've shopped in...

I just moved to Marin County and knowing I was near a Safeway felt like home. Lol it hasn't changed a bit.
