I spent a week at the Fairway hotel. It is a charming small hotel that is in the perfect location. The people at the front desk were extremely nice, and very helpful. I had a single room which for one person was just the right size. On my next trip back to London I will definitely stay there again.

I loved my stay at 'The Fairway Hotel'. At first we booked a hostel, and it was an awful experience so we had took for another place to stay last minute, so that's when we found this hotel and we're so grateful we did! It changed our London stay to be an amazing experience of visiting the city.

The hotel is next to King's Cross and St Pancras station, which makes it really convenient if you need to travel somewhere else, like us going to Luton's airport.

The rooms are just what you need to rest after walking around London: they are very clean and smell amazing as well as the bed is super comfy.

Also, the receptionists are suuuper kind and friendly, and when we arrived, we were able to do an early checkout as the room was ready.

We were able to leave our stuff on the hotel so we could enjoy our last day in London before going to the airport.

I recommend this hotel 100% and when I comeback, I will come here again.

I’m giving this hotel 5 stars for a 2-star hotel. Obviously it describes itself as a 2-star hotel (in terms of amenities/services) but as I say, my review takes this into account. For a 2-star hotel, I couldn’t have asked for more. The room, while very small, wasn’t claustrophobic. You could hear a low level of noise from the corridor/other bedrooms, but nothing bad. Also from outside, with the window closed it was absolutely fine.
The bathroom and room were as clean as I’d expect from any 4-star hotel. I have no complaints about anything. My only gripe might be that it would’ve been nice to have had a box of facial tissues and a bottle of water in the room. And the bathroom door slams closed, you can’t keep it open without putting the trash can in between, and the shower curtain kind of sticks to you. But these minor gripes aren’t nearly enough to lower my score. The bed sheets were clean, and the bed and pillow were comfortable enough.
Now, the service - this is something they should really be proud of. They emailed me in advance, they were very friendly and welcoming, and they made me feel like I would want to return the next time I want a budget hotel in London. I only stayed one night but it was great. A stone’s throw from the Eurostar terminal - the perfect location. I am usually a fairly stingy marker but for this 2-star hotel, it’s 5 stars from me.

Stayed here before training out to Paris early in the morning the following day. Also staying here the night of return (train comes in late) - Man who greeted us was super lovely. Love the fact that the hotel is secure and locked up, man gives you a key for the front of the hotel door as well as your room. Bedroom is small, but all I was using it for was sleep so perfect really. I had a private room, bed decent size, maybe if you’re a shorter person, although I’m 173cm and still didn’t have my feet off the bed. Shower and toilet again is tiny but shower pressure and water was great! Tea and coffee + kettle which was a nice touch. Bed surprisingly comfy! Nice sheets. Room was a bit hot but nothing an open window couldn’t fix. We were street side of Kings Cross and yet with the window open heard no noise.

Pricey? But then again, it’s London… Would definitely stay here again

Visited this hotel in April with my 2 daughters. A lovely little 2 star hotel which is ideal to use as a base for London sightseeing. Yes the rooms and en suites are a tad small but they are clean with fresh towels, soap, shower gel all provided. TV and tea tray also. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a lovely smile when you come in. I would definitely use this hotel again because it is excellent value for money just to use as a base for London sightseeing.

For what this is and the price it's unbeatable. My room was tiny but the bed was comfy and there was a desk to work from with superb wifi. Everything was super clean. The building's quiet and they mount an extra door to the entrance of each floor so you never hear voices form the hallway. The hotel is family-owned and Steve who runs it was SO nice. It's just a three minute walk from Kings Cross, so my arrival and departure was unimaginably easy. Lots of great restaurants and pubs nearby, and the neighborhood is lovely. Finally, Steve was kind enough to hold my bags at the desk on my checkout day so I could go off and have a final lunch unencumbered. A+ all the way!

Due to the cancellation of my night train I made reservations here out of desperation but was SO pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The chambre was very clean, with nice linens and faux wood floors…NO carpet. 😊 There was a window and a self regulated radiator that worked well. In fact everything worked well and even a bouilloire with coffee and tea was provided in the room. Although this is clearly not a posh hotel I rated it highly because it exceeds its category and is managed by the most helpful people. Be aware that the noise of the nearby trains continues into the late evening but for heavy sleepers on a budget it would be a good choice.

I returned yesterday from a happy weeks stay at the Fairway
The welcoming staff were super friendly and professional and I really appreciate their helpfulness and kindness
As I was out all day the room size was not an issue, and was very grateful for both the hanging cupboard and drawers and shelves....I didn't have these in other 2 star hotels and had to live out of my suitcase
Also the kettle with endless supply of coffee tea and milk was great
Thanks to all the smiling staff and look forward to see you all again soon
Highly recommended

Good hotel with kind staff. Even though we only managed to open the front door with the keys once on the 4 night stay, they helped and buzzed us in every single time.

The room was clean and neat, a towel and a small bar of soap per bed. The wifi was excellent. Tea, cups and towels were washed/replaced daily. The beds were remade daily, and all our stuff was untouched. There was even a fan in the closet if we needed it.

The only small thing was that the tube seems to run directly below the room. I imagine this isn't as noticable if you have a room higher up, but we had a lowest floor room so it was noticable. For us it wasn't an issue as we both sleep with headphones, but I would recommend a room on a higher floor if you'd struggle with a few rumbles every few minutes.

Considering the price I paid (100e/ night) I see no real inconvenience with this hotel.
Here the qualities
- very well located, next to transportation (king's cross famous train station) and close to city center even by walk
- the room and bathrooms were a bit small. But they were clean and soundproof, and this is what matters for this price.
Here is the only very tiny inconvenience:
- breakfast (included) could have been better. It was not that bad but the quality is lower than elsewhere (probably more expensive places) and they were not that many choice... and especially no veggie option...
I recommend !

For the price it was a great hotel to stay at for a few days with mates. It was clean and all facilities were in order and we were so close to central London. A great location!

I don't usually review places but I do feel some of the comments on here don't give this hotel justice. It's a 2 star, it's clean, you get a bed and have your own ensuite. The staff are friendly the location is fab and you get free breakfast which I didn't sample as I'm not a breakfast eater! If you are looking for luxury you shouldn't be looking at 2 star hotels - I am very fussy about where I stay and only holiday in 5 star hotels as a minimum. I stayed here for work and loved it - nothing is to much for the staff. My room was a triple room and it was big enough.
I would 100% stay here again.
The only down point for me was the person above me was very heavy footed and I could hear them stomping around - so if you are a light sleeper take ear plugs. But other than that had a lovely stay.

Room clean and quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Less than 5 minutes and you will be on your tube/train. Exactly what we were looking for from our stay. Excellent value for money.

Convenient basic accommodation. Compact room with double bed, ensuite, TV and tea facilities.. Free WiFi and breakfast (didn’t sample only because I woke up late!). Clean and tidy, and fairly priced considering convenience of the location. 2 min walk to Kings Cross station, 10 min walk to Euston. No issues with guide dog.
