I really liked the museum, it is interesting not only for children, but also for adults. We booked a time in advance, but no one looked at the tickets. There are a large number of exhibits, dinosaurs are like real ones, you can learn a lot of new things. The museum itself is incredibly beautiful, every detail, column, wall. I highly recommend everyone to visit this place and bring their children.

The museum that always provides. There’s always so much to see, it’s impossible to see it all! Even revisiting the same displays is always interesting. Seeing it through the wonderment of the children’s eyes and understanding just adds a new layer. Staff are always helpful and the condition of such architectural beauty fills you with awe every single time.

Half term visit. Join as a member if you want to skip the long ques!
Kids as always love the dinosaurs and the t-Rex. We have been members for almost a year and haven’t ever seen the blue whale so hoping that opens soon. On our visit the Lego building experience was great and would love more things like this in the future.

The Natural History Museum has been around for a long time, I remember going as a child.... and recently on a trip out we decided to take our own children for a visit. We knew it could get busy so we booked a time slot online beforehand, it's free admission and you can give a donation if you'd like. Plenty of places to give a donation when you are there as well, and thankfully there is no hard sell.

If your planning to do the museum properly and see everything, then give yourself a good few hours. We have young children, so no chance of seeing everything, we just prioritised a few key areas - mainly around stuff they are doing at school. We still managed just under 3 hours...! The place is HUGE! There are also a few exhibits which you can pay to see, but be aware that some things get sold out if you have not planned ahead.

The museum has a restaurant / cafe area to 'refuel' as well as all the other facilities you would expect to see from a big London museum. Navigation can be a bit tricky / confusing as much of the building is old, and you will end up retracing your steps at times to go back to areas you may have missed! If you take very small children, you may find yourself carrying prams up / down stairs etc, and when really busy it can be quite tight getting through the crowds of people - there isn't really a set route in most areas, people just go where they like (apart from the dinosaur area which had a fairly clear one way type system!)

Our kids were perhaps a little too young to appreciate everything that the museum had to offer, but we still had a great time - and I would still recommend the museum for a visit, and I can imagine we will certainly being visiting again in the not too distant future... an excellent museum!

Wow, this place is incredible, so much to see and do and always something new each time you visit.
I can't believe it's still free to enter, although you can make a voluntary donation, as it's one of the best places to visit in London.
Although it's always busy, and rightly so, because of the building's size, you can still find relatively quiet exhibition rooms to enjoy.
You can easily spend a day here, the time just flies by.

What can I say except this place is wonderful! Free entry with options to donate and get good deals on tote bags and guides! I would definitely say to take the whole day for the museum, we had set aside 4 hours and were only able to to the diplosaurus and under half it the museums in that time (stopping for lunch) so if you don't want to rush set aside the whole day, It will be worth it!
The museum is very accessible with many accessible toilets and lifts as well as wheelchair hire and is assistant dog friendly. I also saw many large print signs and descriptions and audio tours for those visually impaired . They have hearing loops for hearing aids too. There are also some quiet spaces and quiet mornings for those with sensory difficulties! 10/10 will always visit when I have the chance, the place is amazing

One of my favorite museums in London. Could spend hours just walking around. Would definitely suggest spending at least 2-3 hours. Great for families with children as they have some interactive displays. Some parts were under construction, so it's good to double-check the website for any updates. The silent disco they host is also something really unique to do in London, so I'd check for the dates they are hosting it

Such an absolutely wonderful time. I love museums of natural history and I'm not used to going to museums for free so this was such a pleasant experience.

This was my first time at the Natural History Museum in London and there were so many wonderful exhibits. I was a little sad that the escalator which looks like you are going directly into a planet was down but this museum still had so many beautiful rooms filled with amazing aspects of natural history.

While I loved many if the exhibits, my favorite part was walking into the grand entrance. It literally looked like I was walking into Hogwarts. That may sound strange to some, but I was just in such awe of its grandness and beauty.

Definitely hope to return again in the future.

This museum is free and is huge! Very cool stuff here! Highly recommend getting tickets online ahead of time so you don’t have to wait to get in. We were able to skip the very long line wrapped around outside by simply booking online.

I found a lot of the animal skeletons very cool. I can’t believe they fit a blue whale in the one room. It’s absolutely insane that they managed to do that. The very first blue whale skeleton i’ve ever seen. It takes one big place to fit all of that and this place is perfect for it.

Very fun day out for all the family. There are so many exhibits and so much to learn and see! It’s fun whether u are a kid or an adult. The staff are friendly and eager to help you if you need assistance. Many public bathrooms are available around the museum. The building itself is also very impressive and has amazing architecture. The dinosaur exhibit was the highlight of my trip but I loved everything else in the museum too! So many things here has so much historical significance and long history’s and stories behind them. The minerals are so pretty and have the most beautiful colours. There is a lot of interactive activities as well which are entertaining. Food is available in many places in the museum and there are so many places to sit if you are tired.

The museum is home to life and earth specimens consisting of around 80 million items, with 5 main collections; botany, entomology, mineralogy, palaeontology and zoology. The museum is a centre of research for taxonomy identification and conservation. Many of the collections have great historical value as well as scientific, such as specimens collected by Charles Darwin.
The museum also has its famous dinosaur collection. There used to be a large Diplodocus cast that dominated the central hall before it was replaced in 2017 with the skeleton of a Blue Whale hanging from the ceiling.
The museum also contains a brilliant collection of books, journals, manuscripts and artwork linked to the work and research of the scientific departments.
Like other publicly funded national museums in the UK. There is no admission fee.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Free museum with small areas which are paid to be viewed. It's very large and can take multiple hours to explore fully. Lots of different areas of interest and some interactive sections, kid friendly. Highly suggested.

Areas include videos with sign language options too.
Shops, bathrooms and cafes are all throughout the gallery.

Walking into the Natural History Museum in London was like stepping into a treasure trove of natural wonders. The exhibits cover an extensive range – from ancient fossils that trace the evolution of life on Earth to stunning gemstones that showcase the beauty of our planet.

One standout was the dinosaur exhibit. Life-sized models and genuine fossils created an immersive experience, making it feel like you're in the presence of these ancient giants. The level of detail in the displays, along with accompanying information, added depth to the educational aspect.

Moving beyond, the museum houses a captivating array of specimens representing various branches of natural history – from geological formations to intricate displays of flora and fauna. The diversity of the collections ensures there's something to pique the interest of every visitor.

The morning visit allowed for a more intimate exploration. With fewer people around, I could take my time appreciating the intricate details of each exhibit without the usual hustle and bustle. It also made navigating through the museum's different sections smoother.

Overall, the Natural History Museum stands as a testament to the marvels of our planet, offering a comprehensive and enlightening journey through the wonders of natural history.

This is a beautiful museum dedicated to nature and the history of nature. Immediately once you enter the museum, you will be amazed by the scale of the whale bone and the size of the. Lobby. There are so many displays and sections, each dedicated to a particular theme, you can expect to spend awhile at this place. And it's free. Overall, what an awesome and enjoyable experience.

The most famous and interesting museum in London. It is also undoubtedly one of the most beautiful architectural buildings in London.
The entrance is free.
We were here on a weekday, so there weren't many people.
The museum is divided into 4 zones:
• orange - zoology
• blue - dinosaurs, fish, reptiles, mammals and marine life
• green - birds, insects, giant sequoia, minerals
• red zone - minerals, volcanoes, earthquakes, human evolution.
I really liked the blue whale - its skeleton hangs at the entrance to the museum.
° exposition with dinosaurs.
° exhibits of stones, miners, diamonds and stones interspersed with gold, silver, platinum.
There are restrooms inside.

Visited 21/01/2024 We pre-booked in order not to queue, would definitely recommend especially on busy weekends. Entrance is free but we made a donation...hopefully keeps it free for the future. The large hall reminded us of A Night At The Museum! Only managed to see the dinosaur exhibits...so much to see, will definitely be back. Great for all ages.

Incredible museum! The great atrium is awe inspiring and the massive whale is truly amazing. This museum has much more than just dinosaurs - everything from minerals to taxidermy. It is a perfect place for kids and they will be occupied by all of the eye catching exhibits. Unfortunately, you have to pay for some of the larger exhibits which is a bit of a shame. Nonetheless I highly recommend this place!

The Natural History Museum is absolutely enormous and very popular with both tourists and locals alike. Just like every other visitor we had to have a look at the dinosaurs but our visit this time was to see the photography exhibition.
The Wildlife Photographer of the Year is a paid exhibition but very good value as the depth and quality of the photography is stunning!
As in previous years I think that some of the best in the exhibit were taken by young people from across the world.
The staff do a good job of ensuring that numbers in the exhibition are limited so that you do get enough time and space to see each photo and commentary.
The Natural History Museum is a must visit if you are in London but don’t expect to see everything in one go-you’ll need to visit many times!

Wonderful building with amazing architecture. The exhibitions are very informative and laods to see. It is a massive building. The blue whale exhibition is currently closed till March 2024. Dinosaurs were great to see and they have some interactive ones too which is good. The escalator up to the volcanoes section was thoroughly enjoyed with my 2 year old. Generally for toddlers the museum ain't the best. More for older kids and adults.
