Such a fabulous place to visit! There is so much to see and do. It is such a historic place and the educational information, including films, exhibits and labels are really engaging and of interest to visitors of all ages.
I loved the gardens and the sheer magnificence of the Palace.
Lots of places to eat (hot food not great) and toilets, as well as places to rest.
Highly enjoyable day out.

I'm obsessed with the Tudors, so this place was like a paradise to me. Definitely need a pair of comfortable shoes and a bottle of water if you want to cover the whole ground. There is alot to see. There are different rooms, art, and beautiful gardens which I couldn't visit because some of them were closed, and I was also short on time. I went on a weekday, so it wasn't crowded which was better for me. Definitely worth a long visit (don't forget the kitchens and the cellar).

My first visit in 50 years. What an extraordinary place. And it managed to enthrall, engage, enlighten, entertain and educate three generations of my clan. Taking in all that is on offer (both indoors and outdoors) at this unique attraction can unsurprisingly be a little bit taxing for those who struggle with mobility. Gift shop and concessions prices are somewhat excessive.

An Interesting and important place to visit. Go early and spend about 4 to 6 hours if going inside and the gardens. You can just visit gardens if you fancy. Although, they will be nicer in spring onwards.
The inside Chambers are definitely worth a visit. Showing Different eras and phases of Hampton Courts life.

Hampton court palace is a great place to get a look into the lives of the monarch. This features both Tudor, and Baroque style rooms which is cool to see in the same place. The gardens outside are also a must see. The great vine attraction is as not too exciting since it is wintertime and it is just a branch, but still a cool thing to see a Guinness world record vine. The maze is also fun if you have the time! The free audio guide is very informative so I would get it to hear what to look out for, it also suggests a good route as you go through.

Finally went after wanting to for years but never getting around to it.
Absolutely brilliant. A fascinating and wonderful place, full of history. It's worth selecting the option for a free audio guide when you book your ticket.
Staff are all exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Don't forget to see the 'real tennis' court.
I would suggest a visit of about 4 hours.

Fantastic historical site, and quite amazing how much of it has survived. The audio guide was top notch- it gave a lot of information but without droning on. I really liked the displays of the clothes in the Georgian section, and every staff member I talked to was a delight and satisfied my curiosity.

It was nice to come in winter as the space was much quieter and easy to enjoy, but I would say I'm not sure I would have gone if it wasn't for the half price tickets.

Brilliant place to visit every time. We were lucky with sunshine and blue sky, and also went for a long walk along the Thames afterwards for added value. Bring food as the cafe is super expensive (£6 for a slice of cake, for example). The multi media tour included in admission is helpful and kids were kept entertained by the performances of various royals and their entourage in the palace.

It's a stunning palace and rich in history. Must be visit more than twice to see and feel it entirely. Garden is so amazing and definitely spent hours here all season especially when it's sunny.

Wonderful place to visit. We arrived early so we could park at the palace car park. This worked well. The palace is impressive and there is a lot to see.
There is a free audio tour, but un this means that there are not many signs. The Tudor part of the palace was favourite and the gardens are very beautiful. There are plenty of seats around which was good, as my daughter has mobility issues-this made life a lot easier.

Amazing palace. The size of the palace and grounds is quite large so be sure to plan for plenty of time (3+hours). There is an audio tour available which I did not use. It was enough for me to see the room and read the descriptions and signs. Very well done. The curators have done a great job in making history come alive. Will come back for more.

Amazing place to visit. The audio tour makes the experience more fun and understandable.
We are planning to visit again.
The parking could be an issue on a busy day but it is worth it.

Lots to see, and it takes a couple of hours to walk around if you’re listening to the audio-guide. I spent four hours. It’s cool being in such a historic place, walking where kings and their households walked. One complaint is that signage could be much better: there are some directional signs, but when nearing the particular room, there should be a sign on or beside the door (café, two chocolate kitchen rooms, Orangery, etc.). Fun to learn about the movies made here.
Lots of helpful staff around.
The Privy Café offered pleasant service. At 12:50 on a Friday, there was one remaining boxed sandwich (vegan, which is what I wanted), and the soup of the day was vegan (parsnip), which was very good and served with a hunk of bread. There are jacket potatoes, chili and desserts. All on the expensive side.
I imagine the grounds are fantastic when things are blooming. (I was there on a cold January day, the advantage being no big crowds, but some school groups.)

Lot's to learn here, the audio guides are very good offering a family tour option suitable for 8+ but my 7 year old managed fine. Not really anything interactive, they had the life of Henry VIII playing in a part of his apartments. The use of light and noise made the story quite immersive(so much so my 2 year old sat for that). Parking on site £1.60 per hour as well as a cafe. Uk's first puzzle maze in the UK, gardens are nice with snowdrops and daffodils.

This Palace spans some of the most turbulent times in the history of Great Britain. It is the quintessential royal palace with a great hall, reception rooms, state bedrooms, classic weapons, formal gardens and great kitchens. It brings to life leading historical characters and events that have helped form our nation. As if all this wasn't enough you can also see the most beautiful surviving Tudor ceiling and Europe's largest grapevine.

A fascinating place with plenty of history. I liked the way we were able just to wander from one place to the next... no fixed route. It's a whole day visit so leave yourself plenty of time to explore.

If you get excited about history, amazing houses, garden mazes, art, incredible gardens in general, or any or all of the above then this is definitely one for the bucket list!

We had a blast!

Walking in the footsteps of Henry VIII and entourage, George 1st and William III was simply amazing.

Prices were reasonable, exhibits were well presented and accessible, a long way from the dull memories of my youthful - "being dragged along by the parents" - experiences.

Highly, highly recommend 😃

Obviously steeped in history, the most famous resident being Henry VIII, you can visit the Tudor kitchens, Chapel and wardroom. Plenty to see and do, usual gift shop & café on site. The guides are all friendly and very knowledgeable, Expect to spend about 3 hours to see it all, longer if you want to walk around the vast gardens. Currently half price entry ticket for off peak days..Wednesdays to Fridays..If you want to park for free use the large car park in Bushey Park, just a 10 min walk away from Hampton Court.

Hampton Court Palace has been on my ‘places I need to visit’ list for far too long – so one sunny September morning we decided to head to Hampton Court and finally pay it a visit. We caught the train so we got 2-for-1 entry – which was very good value. The station is only a few moments’ walk away, and it’s impressive crossing over the Thames and seeing the sheer scale of the palace in front of you.

Once scanned in, you are free to explore the palace as you see fit. The palace itself is stunning, with a rich history dating back to the 16th century. It’s impeccably well kept, and I was impressed with how something so old and large could be in such good condition. There are lots of different areas and exhibits to explore around the palace, and you can spend hours just wandering the halls and discovering different rooms. Some highlights for me included The Great Hall, the Tudor kitchens and The State Apartments.

For me, the most impressive thing about Hampton Court Palace was the gardens – they are absolutely gorgeous and again, immaculately kept. There are formal gardens, informal gardens, woodland gardens, and even a kitchen garden. I especially loved the Privy Garden - a beautiful formal garden with intricate flowerbeds, fountains, and statues overlooking the Thames – truly spectacular.

We had a child in our party, but they were well catered for, with a big hedge maze (the oldest in the UK), a massive play area and plenty of places to explore. We did stop in the café for an ice cream and as most tourist attractions, it was quite expensive – but was good quality and with plenty of seating.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Hampton Court Palace. The palace is vast, so make sure you set aside at least half a day to explore everything it has to offer. The gardens are especially stunning!
