The definition of a local hidden gem. It might be easy to walk right by the storefront, but inside you'll find one of the best, most interesting selections of beer, wine, sake, and cider from around the world. Plus you can grab a beer from their selection of taps in the back and hang out while you browse. They're even dog-friendly! Long live Bottleworks.

Brandon and Chanell are two of the most knowledgeable beer folks in all of Seattle. This is one of the most storied and respected bottle shops in North America... Much love and respect for the Bottleworks family!!

Maybe my favorite beer bar ever. Staff is friendly and helpful, the selection is unrivalled. Don’t go in looking for Belgian Moon or Lagunitas - this is a shop with an expertly curated menu and bottle list, going all-in on a beer experience that’s almost impossible to find anywhere in the world.

At first glance it appeared bottleworks was closed. But upon closer inspection it was open. Don't be fooled by storefront appearance. Extensive beer selection from breweries around the world. Tap selection was very good too. Pliny the elder on tap!

Dropped in fresh off the East Coast looking for a good bottle shop. Could not have been more impressed with the friendliness, excitement and beer knowledge of Chanell. Amazing selection of Pac NW and international new and cellared bottles and several collabs with this amazing place. This is the bottle shop and experience every beer person needs.

Great selection of drinks, cool interior and helpful staff. I came here a lot before the pandemic. They now have a $5 handling fee regardless of order size, so keep that in mind. However, it 100% of it goes to the employees, so I'm all for it.

Thanks for the reply owners! Appreciate you guys taking care of your employees, that means a lot.

The definition of old money. One of the oldest beer bars in the country. They may not have an overwhelming selection like Chucks, but better curated and more diverse beers you can’t find anywhere else. Always a must stop for beer nerds coming through Seattle.

Really nice beer shop.
Think, old school “Chuck’s”.
But more personable.
And more character,
And real Seattle.
And darker.
And finer.
And dingier.
And more like an old library, full of interesting, mind blowing flavors.
One of the best places in Wallingford.
And town, in general.
Go there.

Good beer selection, microbrew draft bar. Dark, atmospheric, sometimes intimate (i.e. limited seating). Not as many beer purchase choices as Chuck's Hop Shop, but more than larger local grocery stores. You can either choose from their small draft selection, or purchase and drink any can or bottle beer they carry on-premises. An array of most types of beer and right next to Wine Cellars if you'd like to one stop shop for both.

Trevor was the person working when I arrived here. Friendly enough, reserved enough to make an introvert feel comfortable. A group needed his attention. He handled it professionally. I'm going to bring my wife here so she can try the rare and wonderful beers here. Comfortable space and amazing variety.

Best bottle shop in Seattle. Always have local beers, great import selection, 4 taps, and some diversity non beer wise. Excellent staff and really no better place to buy beer

Friendly staff and wide selection of beers. Not many non-IPA's to choose from, but decent selection nonetheless. They also offer corkage, in addition to several choices on tap, if you want to enjoy your hand picked selection of beverages there.

Small, dark, and packed to the brim with case after case of good beer (or bier, as they would have it), Bottleworks is buried treasure for the more refined drinkers among us. Between the vast selection and the informed expertise of the employees, you are guaranteed to find what you are looking for (assuming you're looking for beer, that is).

Pro tip: they offer a nice selection of rotating taps in the back, to be imbibed on-site or taken home as a growler. Often these beers can be a little on the expensive side, especially when you're only getting 10oz or 12oz in return. But fear not, for although they don't advertise it, they will usually sell you a half-glass of anything 12oz or less.

Still among the very best bottle stores in the Seattle area. An amazing selection, particularly well curated, and great service. The online shop has been a great addition as well.
