Had a really excellent experience at the store with an associate named Jordan. I wish I would’ve asked him his last name. He did an excellent job helping me find the right baseball equipment for my son. Took the time to unlock the batting cage so he could try out the bat before we bought it and spent time to steam and form my son’s new glove even talked some NFL with us. Like I said, I didn’t catch his last name, but I did see on his name tag that he was passionate about Youth Sports. Was the highlight of my week thanks for being passionate about your job kind and helpful. God bless you

It's probably only the 3rd time I've been there but I like the store it has probably everything you want. The only problem is it's clear across town so unless they have something i want or more to choose from, color, size, or a lot cheaper for I'll shop a lot closer. 5-10 dollars isn't worth the drive. I just wished they had one one on the east or north side of Des Moines

Gail was great to work with. He was on top of customer service and helpful with trying to get us a bike. He even remembered my name when I came in a few days later. Although we did not end up purchasing a bike from there I was still very impressed with the way Gail helped us out.

Very very very pleased! The workers were very helpful and helped me find what I needed in record time! Specifically, Morgan, the young lady with a passion for running, was very helpful. She was very sociable and was able to aid me in locating the oddly specific piece of merchandise I was looking for. She was ever so polite and patient whilst assisting me. I didn’t have the opportunity to speak with very many other employees, but if they are all as helpful and polite as that Morgan girl, then I 100% recommend shopping there. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and honest opinion of a product you are buying, shop at Dick’s!

It very busy… but the staff was very helpful and super fast at getting people checked out. We first walked in and line to check out was all the way to back and in matter of only 5 min they got all those people checked out! Great job and very impressed!

They have great selections on both women and men's apparel. They have some of the newest sports wear from Nike, Adidas, Champion. Under armour etc

Good quality of merchandise for the size of the store, the staff and managers are all absolutely wonderful. A fair selection in different sizes, which is really nice. They stand behind the quality of their merchandise.
A little disappointed that they are no longer going to sell hunting equipment, rifles etc., but I support their decision.

**UPDATE** I was contacted by Store mgmt and they handled it immediately. Not as a reaction to this post but as a reaction to an internal survey they sent out. The unfortunate part in my mind was not a discrepancy in what I was charged. Mistakes happen. The issue was that their online customer service did so little to address. Thumbs up on the store's response. I will definitely be back. Also, the fact that there was not only an email survey sent out automatically after the purchase, but within a day of me submitting the survey they reached out to me. I really appreciate the places that don't just go through the motions. ***

I went into Dick’s Sporting Goods today to purchase a chest protector for my son who is a catcher on the baseball team, as well as an athletic supporter with cup combo, and a pair of baseball pants. The only chest protector that they had was ridiculously overpriced so I went to Scheels sporting goods nearby to pick up that shortly after leaving Dick’s Sporting Goods. I did choose to purchase the baseball pants and the athletic supporter cup combo. The baseball pants had a purchase price listed on the rack and every single pair had a tag with the exact same purchase price of $35. When I got home I noticed that the price on my receipt, the price that I was charged, was $40. Five dollars more than what was listed on the tag of the pants. The athletic supporter cup combo is the exact same story. On the rack it was listed at $34.99 but was charged $39.99 and again, I did not catch it until I was home. I contacted customer service to see what my options were because it is a 45 minute drive to get to the store. Customer service suggested I drive back to the store in the next 14 days to try and price match. Otherwise I was out of luck. Not worth the drive and time to correct their mistake. I just will go to Scheels instead.

I had my bike assembled at this store after ordering it online. One staff member in particular, Clint, was helpful, professional, and provided excellent customer service.

We did an online order for pickup. My daughter ordered the wrong item. Staff were awesome in correcting the problem very fast.

Love shopping here but I'm in a gam of be coming homeless and, we as a community are struggling with donations at the shelter downtown Des Moines. Good service and always able to get that random piece of sports gear that my kids seem to need last-minute. They also have rewards program so it’s nice to get $10 off every few visits.

I was looking for a pair of tennis shoes and couldn't find the correct size. The employee checked and said that there should be one pair available. She went to where they should be and didn't find them. She looked in one more place and found them. Great customer service!

I am a competitive semi pro bodybuilder/obstacle course competitor & was in need of newer shoes. Tristan, the shoe manager was extremely helpful in taking the time to find a shoe that best fitted me. The Adrenaline GTS 22 are a great recommendation in addition to choosing this location solely due to the knowledge of the staff.

Busy Saturday looking for friends son's Little League equipment. Place was very busy but staff were everywhere and very helpful. We found all his needs from cleats, belt, pairs of socks, helmet and gloves. The sale prices were surprising and in every dept. But most surprising was at checkout. Signed up for free membership for Dick's that did not require credit check and took only a minute. My friends savings was over $52.00. Definitively a destination for all your sports needs.

Great selection, friendly staff, and in particular a manager (Amber) went out of her way to help make sure their price match guarentee went through on a pair of kayaks I purchased there. Better customer service than most places, and a clean and organized floor made everything easy to find.

The store had the item I was looking for. Sam was friendly and polite at the register. Keep up the good work!
