I recently installed 12 brand new windows in my home and wanted to replace all the shades. As such a task was a big investment for me, I had to look at many stores. I went to The Shade Store on the recommendation of a colleague who had his shades installed by the company recently. He told me that the service went smoothly and was extremely straightforward.

The consultant Kristin was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She responded to all my questions very clearly and turned around my follow-up email questions expeditiously. I learned a lot about the different types of light filtering shades and material from her. I took a bunch of sample material swatches that she had recommended and taped them to my windows to decide which one to buy.

The technician Raymond showed up a week later to measure and take photos of all the 12 windows. He also answered a lot of my questions. He made recommendations on the material that would eliminate glare for the different windows in each room while providing light and privacy.

I got a call from Kristin soon after the measurements were completed. We went over the options from the measurements and photos. After deciding on the shades and the material, she put together a quote and we completed the transaction over the phone. It was a big-ticket item but it was extremely reasonable when factored into the total cost of the overall window replacement project and amortizing it over a -period of time.

The shades arrived at my doorstep by FedEx a couple of weeks later. They were meticulously packed.

The installer Eric showed up not long after. He was exceptional with great attention to detail. He did an awesome job in installing all the shades.

All in all, I had a great experience. I would recommend The Shade Store unreservedly.

Amazing experience overall. Store has great setup to get the feel and select color, texture, types. In home measurement and installation were efficient, fast and extremely professional. Design Consultant was fabulous and helpful (Caroline in Burlington MA). I went in thinking Roman or Linens, and we ended up with a modern roller shade (choices fit our needs and overall final look best). In the end we went with the automatic shades, which were pricey but so worth it, and all shades have a lifetime guarantee! Would highly recommend this company.

We did our entire house's shades with the shade store!! We are very happy with the final results. Kristin Summer is awesome. She provided lots of helpful suggestions in terms of how to pick color and material so that the shades can go well with the rest of the house. It took a long time for us to finish everything and I probably changed my mind millions of times but she's always very patient and professional. Shade store has great quality products and a large selection too. You can always find a material that suits your needs. For rooms with lots of windows that need the shades go up and down everyday, we went with motorized shades. Yes it's more expensive but definitely worth every penny! In general, great products and great customer service.

I purchased some large roller shades for a corporate office in North Reading and we are thrilled with the result. Kristin S was so helpful and knowledgeable. My 3 and 4 year old daughters were with me and she had them sitting down at a table coloring within a couple minutes of me walking in the store. She listened to the details of my project and quickly steered me in the right direction. My experience could not have been better. The store is beautiful and you'll be inspired by all the samples. Installation was smooth too!

I wish I could give 6 stars!! Our experience with the Shade Store in Burlington, particularly with Kristin Summer, was fantastic. My husband and I had just moved into a new construction condo with no window treatments, and had to start completely from scratch for every room in the house. This is particularly daunting when you're a perfectionist who's hobby is interior design. Kristin was extremely talented, creative, and patient with us, which I can imagine was difficult as we didn't have an exact vision of what we wanted but were trying to nail down a certain look. She ended up coming up with something outside the box and completely nailed it!! We are in love with how they came out and get compliments on our window treatments all the time! I also would like to note that having someone come measure and install everything for us for us was hugely helpful, as well. Thanks again to Kristin and her team!

We liked what we were sent so we visited the store in Burlington, MA. They were completely helpful, from helping us set up an appointment to get our windows measured in Florida, to selecting and ordering what we wanted for each window, and to getting the window treatments installed in a very reasonable timeframe. I have had the same color and curtains for the past 25-30 years. I was looking to update my dining room, kitchen and tv room which are all connected.
