My tire had a screw in it and I went to another mechanic and they wanted to charge me $100 plus for a new tire. I took the car to this mechanic for a second opinion. In just 15 minutes, they diagnosed the problem and fixed the tire, and they only charge me $25 for it.
I would definitely recommend to go to this mechanic, they are honest people, I have been there before and they always give me a very fair rate.

I think Brian, and the whole team of experts mechanics are great, very friendly, professional and they’ll definitely repaired your vehicle without a problem. They are really flexible and do lots of different kinds of work. They are always clear and specific about what kind of work needs to be done and why. I also love being able to support a small, local business. One of the owners, Brian, is always in the shop and he is probably the guy who will answer the phone if you call. I went there for my inspection over the summer and since then I have gone for all the work my car needs.

I've been going to Cambridge Street Auto for a few years and always had a great experience (friendly, good work, reasonable prices, etc.) but Brian and his team really helped me out when my wheels were stolen off my car. They found a way to tow it, worked with my insurance, got everything I needed and gave some helpful recommendations. Overall just made a major headache much, much easier to deal with. I couldn't recommend Cambridge Street Auto enough.

Fast reliable service at a fair price. Staff were attentive and patient on a busy day. I left confident my car was getting the best service, new wheels mounted and balanced with care. Clean Shop too.

Came here through a recommendation of a friend. Awesome place, can't say enough about it. Brian and his crew will take care of you with whatever you need, whether it's car repairs, maintenance, modifications etc.
Some of the most knowledgeable, nicest and I stress-honest mechanics around. It's hard to find an honest reliable mechanic that you can trust these days.
It's a huge plus that they're car guys too, as in they actually care about cars and aren't just trying to take advantage of people. I took my 1970's classic car there and immediately felt safe doing so. The previous place I took my highly valued classic car they actually broke my light switch and didn't even tell me (I discovered this on my own after I had left and they denied any wrongdoing)

(Now called Cambridge Street Auto Repair) I came for an auto inspection, which was done quickly. A misaligned headlight caused a safety fail, but these guys worked fast to fix it, and it passed. They didn't charge me for the headlight adjustment! Thanks to Brian, Gilberto, and Samson. If every company worked this well for customers, we would live in a much better world. This shop is highly recommended

I had my state vehicle inspection and some body repair at this site. They offered professional and prompt service that properly addressed my issues. By the way, the staff there are quite friendly and the prices are reasonable. Overall, this place deserves recommendation for auto repair.

I’ve been taking my cars to Cambridge St Auto for years, and I love the quality of work and professionalism there. They also don’t nickel and dime you on prices for service. I always call ahead and make an appointment. They can usually fit me in that day or the next day they are open.

I have been to the Michael J Hynes Service Center probably 5 times since getting my 97 ford wagon. It seems determined to have a problem every couple weeks and they guys are amazing at getting it back on the road. They have excellent prices, are fair with you, explain what is wrong so you understand, and are very good about getting the work done in a timely manner.

I have been to other shops where I feel like they are trying to screw me from the moment I walk in, not this place. I have never once felt cheated or gouged.

I really can't say much more. If you just look at how busy they are that should tell you something. It usually takes two days or less to get my car back when I just drive up and drop it off without calling ahead (it may be longer depending on the work you need done). I have had my front struts replaced, oil changed, a faulty motor shaft sensor replaced, and an vacuum canister/valve replaced along with some other smaller things. I highly recommend them.

Just go here, you won't be sorry.

My Car stop working at 5:30pm called the shop 30 min before closing and they still took my car in and was able to figured out I needed a new starter. Well just like that I had my car fixed and right back to me the following afternoon. The staff was really friendly and you can’t beat the prices!!!!! Great overall experience!!!

These guys have taken very good care of my used cars. Bryan, they guy front, is very knowledgeable on all aspects of the business and very easy to work with. Say good bye to the stigma of car related business being hard to talk too.

2nd time coming here and they did a great job! All in one day: installed and mounted two new rear tires and state inspection. Very satisfied customer. Will come back here again soon.

Good deal on tires and breaks. Estimates available via email. Work was a little slow and they're is no lobby due to covid. So i was stuck standing in the snow. They called at 235pm said my car was done. When inl arrived 7 minutes later it was still on the lift. I didn't get home, wet and cold, until 345. I feel this was due to early closing bc of the snow energency. Just have a friend drop you. Tires and alignment are great and have worked well in my first winter.

My CRV had a P0420 code and I had ordered the part online. I called the day before to make an appointment, brought the part in and got the car back the same day. Great Service, Great Value! Will always bring my vehicles here.

I have been using Hynes since I moved to Allston in 2009. I now live in Watertown and still bring my car here because I trust them more than anywhere else.

Every estimate and actual job they've done for me has been cheaper than competitors and I have always been satisfied with the service. When they have made a mistake, they've displayed excellent customer service and don't charge to fix the mistake.
