Foods Co

I compare all other grocery store prices against Foods Co to see if I'm being overcharged. Foods Co is consistently the cheapest place to buy anything canned, bagged, boxes, or bottled. Their produce isn't always the cheapest or the freshest - I prefer Grocery Outlet for that. And honestly, Safeway is cheaper than any of these retailers for several items namely dairy products, meats, and produce if you use the Safeway app and clip the coupons the day you go shopping.

The lines here are usually very long, which sucks and also adds a lot of pressure on the shopper to transact quickly at the cash register, and there are no "self-checkout" options. So if you don't like stressful grocery shopping, I would consider another retailer -- at least in San Francisco.

They had one of those gates installed, but they didn’t measure and it would smack against the railing and ring like you’re at a boxing match. 🛎🥊 anyway people fight in there all the time, but they fixed the gate temporarily so it doesn’t bang every time you walk in like there’s a fight. I mean there is a fight, but no bell anymore.

I always find what I need for a quick meal for my family of four. Ground turkey, sauce, noodles and cheese. Fixing for salad 🥗 😋 french bread 🥖 prices are great....

I love Foods Co and the value they bring! Anytime I am in the neighborhood I always stop by for some good deals!

Great deals on everyday needs including groceries and household supplies. The location is easy to navigate and accessible with a dedicated parking lot (rare in SF). Also there is a Muni Bus stop directly across the street serving two frequent routes and making transportation easy for everyone. Not much to comment on the employees, didn't really interact much with anyone. I used self check out and the security guard at the front door didn't bother to check my receipt probably because he saw that I only had about $10 worth of stuff. Not saying he wasn't doing his job though at all, he was just prioritizing well.

It has a lot of products. The prices are fair. The stock up on items is always good. The freshness of produce and meats is always good. The only thing that's not too great is the parking.

I prefer it to Grocery Outlet personally! Their parking lot is larger, easily accessible comparatively, and has a MUCH larger location more centrally located by me downtown.

Ye olde Grocery Outlet closest to us used to be on Folsom and Division. It has since turned into Best Buy.

Yes food co. Is a good Supermarket is convenient and is in my neighborhood very satisfied is my supermarket.

We shop there often. Since the economy has taken a step towards inflation, groceries have gone up. Kroger's has tried to maintain pricing at reasonable costs. As where we would buy eggs milk and bread here opposed to elsewhere, we are saving at least 4 to 5 dollars more than other grocery chains!

Best place in town to shop for Mexican spices. Great selection of meats, a little cheaper than most. friendly staff.

By far the best/lowest prices in town with patient staff, knowledgeable and ready to assist customers. Always clean environment which is important for me (especially at a discount store with deals this good= alot of low-income traffic) I am definitely coming back for my big beginning of-the-month bulk shoppe and YOU SHOULD TOO! SAVINGS and SERVICE you simply cannot beat 👍🙌🤯👏

I adore Foodsco because in this inflation period their prices and quality are what we need. Do not expect a quick visit lines will be long almost all hours but sales are worth it

Groceries for the People...... i do not mind the lines at all...EVERYTHING is low priced... safeway is 15% more across the. Board....... at xmas they had large Old Fashion Oats at 2.49........ my bodega in the tenderloin is 9.99..... creemcheese 3.49 for twin pak (8ox blocks).... that is at least 2$ cheaper!!!! i also love the vibe here.... it's definitly real people living real lives..... Jarritos 12pak 10.99.... safeway jarritos 12 pack 14.99...... thats 4 dollars you just gave away to safeway corporation...... if u are serious about saving money and living low cost, food co is your friend :).

Great prices. Usually much cleaner than Safeway. Kept well stocked with great variety of merchandise. Their in house made goods are excellent. If you haven't been, at least look around at the selection & check prices, you will see the difference in price with like items at other grocery stores.

Fodsco that's a good place to do all your grocery shopping it has everything you need for your home.

This is an update on my last review. Be aware that they close the doors at 9:30pm even though they close at 10pm. Very frustrating to find out that they won't let you in the store. Especially when you need something urgently and you took the bus to get there and now you have to wait 30 minutes for the next bus home. Great deals. Fast check out even though the line is hella long.

I work around the corner from Foods Company so I shop there during lunch or after work.
I have never had any significant interactions with the staff there but my most recent visit has earned them my absolute loyalty. I had a hectic day at work and just dealt with crazy people (I mean legitimately insane folks, that are for some reason allowed to run around freely). Being all grumpy and in a rush to get home, I left my wallet at the register, and it was loaded!!!! I am talking not only IDs, membership cards and rewards cards, I also have hundreds of dollars in my wallet, because I don't use credit cards.

I did not realize my error until I was home so I called to ask if someone had found it. I was sure it would have been lost for ever. But what do you know the cashier, Jeanette (did I spell that right?) at register 9 was so honest to keep it safe and did not even open it. I offered to give her a reward but she refused to take it. It came across not only as genuinely polite but even as simple common courtesy. She totally made my day. Thanks! You have a great team member there who needs to be recognized.
