Went here to pick up the Kaveri Coffee Beans. They have it available both in the prepackaged 1lb bags, and larger bins with free weight.
I got the 1lb bag. I got it only once, and it was roasted 2 weeks ago from when I went.
Overall it's an interesting grocery store where you can spend time just browsing around. Parking is not too hard to find given they have their own lot.

I say this with a lot of discernment: this is the best Co Op grocery store in the country. And its not even close. At all. They have the best of every kind of product you’d want from bulk food (incredible selection), to dark chocolate (far and away the best selection of Dark Chocolate I’ve ever seen and again, its not even close), to grab and go items, and so much more. What an amazing store promoting health and wellness. It’s enough to get me to want to move here to SF just for the Rainbow Co Op. You MUST stop by if you’re in SF and needing groceries or food on the go. What an experience.

The top place to find almost every supplement you need. It goes without saying that this place is amazing. Very high quality food , super integral. I come down from Santa Rosa and think it's well worth the travel

I'll start with the only negative; this is not a discount supermarket. That said, they have great sales prices on some fantastic products. There are dairy and non-dairy items that are next to impossible to find in other stores. Rainbow has a extensive cheese department with knowledgeable employees. They have a large natural cosmetic and sundry department where you can find all sorts of natural products that are also environmentally aware. The store stocks healthier varieties of cookies, crackers, breads, and more. They also have perks including membership points and a discount for veterans, and senior 60+. Their staff in all departments are friendly and helpful. All in all, a great store for the the healthier, environmentally inclined citizens of SF.

This place is a gem! Broadest inventory of healthy-ish products in the Bay Area. There are many items here I can find nowhere else. It's a pleasure wandering through the aisles. Also if smells really nice inside.

Love the huge bulk bin section. I've discovered so many wonderful food and herb items here and I'm so grateful.

Incredible bulk section- rice, nuts, dried fruits, olives, miso, and even detergent. I also love the selection and quality of produce. Many items list exactly where they're produced. Prices are generally high but I'm happier to fund a business like this than a Whole Foods. The native garden out front is my favorite.

The best store ever! Literally everything in bulk so you can try a fancy spice for under $1 to see if you like it. They have the best selection of plant based, local and ethically sourced foods. I don't shop anywhere else anymore. Plus it's a co-op so everyone there is getting well paid. You can tell it's a good business you're also supporting unlike the big grocers.

An enormous organic grocery store, what a SF gem! Best bulk selection in the Bay Area—flours, dried fruits, nuts, dried soups, granolas, rices, beans, and plenty more. (Backpackers, get your bean or quinoa flakes, instant soups, hummus mix, potato flakes, and many other great dehydrated meal building blocks!) Plenty of other excellent organic options in the produce section and great finds in every eclectic aisle.

They truly have it all, have a wide variety of it all, and at reasonable prices (and sometimes good sale prices). Plus, the workers are all absolutely fantastic and kind and seem to genuinely love the store. Like a more local, organic version of the employee vibe at Trader Joe’s... does that make any sense?

Anyway, love it here. You’ll probably love it too.

My go-to place for bulk refill! They are absolutely fantastic! Spices, fresh & dry pasta, rice, beans, tea, vinegar, oil, soy sauce, kimchi, detergent, shampoos, you name it.
They have complimentary biodegradable bags to pack. But I always being my own reusable bags and containers. You get $0.05 back for each container/bag.

I love this place. Have been shopping here for years. Everything in this store is awesome. The workers own a part of the store and they all vote on what gets in the store for sale. Support an s.f. institution!!!

What hasn’t already been said about this magical place? Bulk herbs and teas. Endless granola choices, over the top organic produce and small batch, local Vegan donuts if you look closely enough. Large wellness/HABA aisles.

Employee owned stalwart in the great journey to preserve access to real, whole food. Cool, loving staff, beyond compare.

Last word: bulk, raw pumpkin seed butter.

Best organic grocery store and it is completely different than other grocery stores. One of the best grocery store in San Francisco and here vegetable, fruits are completely organic. The important part is that here all groceries selling by cooperative farmers, business man. This grocery store is completely cooperative store.

If you’re veg and/or care about where your groceries come from, this is the spot. I won’t hold it against them that they never hired me when I was in my 20s and eager to fulfill my fantasy of stocking produce.

Best selection of bulk goods I've ever seen in a grocery store. At many bulk grocery stores the goods end up being kinda stale, but all the tea and spices and other items are very fresh and of high quality. Always a treat to stop by when I'm in town!

Great for bulk dry goods, spices, and cleaning supplies. I have a local grocery closer to home, so I don't bother going here for anything not bulk though. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.
