Mi Tierra Market

This is absolutely the most affordable grocery market in SF. I got all of this produce for $11. They also have a great selection of spices and nuts!

Great place for specialty food items and great prices too. I got all my veggie ingredients for a big batch of chicken pozole for under 10 dollars.

Absolutely incredible prices for fruits and vegetables. Buy nowhere else!

Still here after all these years! Many things have changed around here, but not Mi Tierra! They still have great produce. I miss living en la Mission. I spent most of my 20's on and around 16th Street drinking, carousing, and living mi vida loca.

It was good to see that SOME things DON'T change around here! When you consistently provide quality products and service, the lines will always wrap around to your door. A woman was kind enough to let me cut in front of her in line bc I only wanted to buy 1 🍊 bc it wound all the way around to the back of the store as it usually does on the weekend.

People are still kind. Quality hasn't suffered, and I will always return like a homing pigeon to roost. ¡Viva la Mission!

You can't find better prices on veggies & fruit in the city. They are unreal but you need to eat most of the outside produce asap or freeze them. Mango 2 for $1; oranges 4lbs for a $1; 2 bags of apples for $1.
You need to shop what they have that day & make a meal or a smoothie w it.

Super cheap fruits and vegetables! Some are not great quality (the other day I saw mouldy sweet potatoes) but the super low prices make up for it as long as you check the quality of what you’re picking up. I’ve gotten 2 watermelons for $1, a bag of organic pears for $1, and blackberries for $1.

this is the best place in all of San Francisco to buy your fruits and vegetables. It is a mexican-style grocery store with a huge selection of fruits and vegetables. It is Yemeni owned and operated and Adele really knows how to buy the best of the fruits and vegetables so he can offer the best deals out there. bar none best selection best price in probably the whole Bay area. And his crowds of people attest to that.

Theres a reason there's always a swarm of activity outside this place. Great value produce. The stuff outside is priced to move and you probably want to use / freeze it the day you buy it or soon after. You can also take a bit more time to pick out the nicer looking fruits and vegetables and they'll stay fresh longer. But you can't beat the value. Inside is a standard Hispanic grocery store with a decent meat and cheese selection and an array of packages food.

2 packs of strawberries 1 blueberry 1 of fresh vegetables and 1 pound of cherry tomato 5 $ !!! very hight quality.... very affordable!

What's not to like? Just 'cherry-pick' the cherries, mangoes etc to avoid bringing home any fruit past its prime. Please don't haul off all those 25 cent a pound bananas, save me a couple to go with my yogurt, please. Here's a tip: well-known organic produce firms blow out their overstock here. If you see a nice lady with a platter of white cheese by the door, you won't regret trying it. Same goes for sampling the mango with paprika they sometimes have out on the sidewalk.

How can it be soooo cheap! I’m a Whole Foods fan, but here I can get persimmons for $0,79/lb while at WF I was paying $4/lb! Of course it’s not organic, but some of their stuff is. So grateful to this store.

Amazing food costs! I always leave there shocked beyond belief, with thoughts like “did I pay for everything?”, “did I just rob the poor guys?”, “is there something wrong with the food?”. I’m sure, however, that I come back for more than just the thrill that comes with these thoughts of ‘living on the edge’. You need to experience it yourself!

They have a nice selection of vegetables. It's a small shop but I like it. It's nice for when I need something closer than Safeway for a handful of items.

I actually like this market they have great prices on fruits and vegetables and their cashiers are very nice and friendly but I know the next time I go there I will try their ground beef and oxtails their presentation in their meat case was very very tempting but since I was just going to get some fruits I said I would try fresh meat section next time

For me, Mi Tierra Market is a go to place for grocery shopping. The reason, - great variety of choices for fruits and vegetables, fresh meat and milk produce. Very accessible with the public transportation, busses, - 14, 49, 33, 22. BART, 16st. Store is very efficiently run by Adel, a vigorous yemanite man. There is a vast assortment of milk products from Latino countries. Castomers speak many languages, a lot of eastern Europeans, local Hispanic folks, many young professionals. Because of a huge produce turnover, compact space and never idle Cash registers Mi Tierra Market has no rivals when it comes biggest Bang for a Buck.
