Warhammer

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for a couple weeks now to start a new hobby. John and Josh have both personally helped us each time we’ve come in and have been met with great customer service as well as awesome advice to get started with painting miniatures. They have cultivated a great, friendly environment in the store and we look forward to coming in every time as we know we’ll learn something new on each trip.

The store selection has a great variety of miniatures, paint supplies, and black library texts. Though this store houses a large stock of items, it is kept remarkably organized and clean. As someone who gets overwhelmed easily, this is a very nice touch to the store that I appreciate.

I'm not into table top gaming but my brother in law and husband both are. This is an amazing store and resource for the Warhammer hobbyist, whether you're starting out or you're a veteran player. John was knowledgeable, helpful, and very friendly whether or not you buy anything. I was impressed by how clean the entire store looked.

Beautiful store! I had the pleasure of meeting Josh and John. Made sure that if I needed anything or had any questions at any moment that they could answer. The atmosphere of professionalism and friendliness makes me wish I'm in to Warhammer so I could come by more often. Despite my disinterest in the main idea of the store. The level of knowledge and confidence about the paints and painting supplies made me go from mild interest to an excited buyer.
Additionally, because they had some extra Christmas wrapping, John was able to wrap a gift I had purchased for me.

Customer service was nothing less than amazing! John took me through everything in the store and had more knowledge than I knew what to do with. Even gave me some awesome tips for beginning my first painting adventure with hands on examples. Will be back!!

The staff here are absolutely fantastic! John helped me pick out the best unit for my army, was extremely personable and knowledgeable. I would recommend this store to any Warhammer fan!

Went there today and had a great time. They were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Much like the Warhammer community itself there was no belittling since I am new to the game. So glad they had Nuln oil! 😆 definitely will go back to learn more about Age of Sigmar. I've attached some photos of some of my work that I meant to show while there but my phone had died.

Amazing team here - as someone just getting into the hobby they were extraordinarily helpful(30 min intro paint demo was amazing), however I’d recommend going in with an idea of what paints you’ll want (CitadelColor app)

Absolutely fantastic experience.

I've been a fan of 40k lore for over 20 years, but had never dived into the table top/miniatures - and on a whim decided to make the pilgrimage to GW this afternoon. Best decision ever.

The entire experience from the moment I walked in to when I departed was nothing short of marvelous. The staff and owner are fantastic, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. That was evident not just from my interaction, but simply observing the community that was in store painting, preparing to play, or just perusing for their next buy.

I will say, as a long time fan whose remained very much in the side lines only interacting with various media and literature, it felt like I'd found a home again.

If you're at all on the fence, or just mildly intrigued with the hobby or lore, I hope this review will help push you over the fence so that you too can make that trip and give this amazing gem of a shop a try. You won't regret it.

Best warhammer store in south Texas! The employees are very knowledgeable and willing to answer all your questions.

This is the best GW store I’ve been to. The games workshop rep Josh is very friendly and helpful to all of those who are looking to get into the hobby/already in the hobby.

Wargaming is a very socially engaging hobby, and when people are involved, conflicts arise. However, this store is where you put your differences aside and come together to play some warhammer!

PS 1/2K Tuesday is a great idea! If you’re in the shop on a Tuesday, bring a 500pt list in and have some fun!

I’ve never been more engaged in the hobby as I have since Josh took over a couple of years back. It’s a great place to paint and hobby and my girlfriend always feels comfortable here. You won’t find “Greasy Comic Shop Owner” here and you’ll just about always leave a better painter than when you arrived. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Josh, swanger, and John hold down arguably the best gaming and hobby atmosphere in the city. Stock is always great, but their customer service is second to none. Can’t recommend enough!

I've been very interested in Warhammer and many other hobby shops I've called told me to ask their players. Josh was incredibly helpful, set things to start aside for me and invited me back in if I had questions. I live a bit of a drive away, but on a day I had some free time I asked if it was busy and drove in so Josh could show me how to paint. A quick crash course later and I've got an idea on how to enjoy another facet of this hobby too. It is nice that other stores carry fits specific line, but if you want help, advice, or a place to start, there is nothing like going straight to the source for information and a beautiful display of minis for inspiration.

New to Warhammer and was happily surprised with how unintimidating visiting this shop was. It's great to know there's a local shop with such a huge presence that is so inviting and full of help and advice. Getting into Warhammer is something I'm super excited about and having this Warhammer shop in our backyard with as much enthusiasm and genuine care for your interest and growth in the hobby is unrivaled. Can't wait to get further into the hobby! Thanks guys!

I only just recently entered into the world of WH40k and I have never felt more welcome when getting into a new game or hobby, and have just in general received a TON of helpful tips / tricks in order to get better results on figures as well as transparent and honest help shopping for supplies I either do or do not need / want as a totally new person to the hobby. Obviously a business does need to sell things to make profit but never once have I felt somehow obligated to purchase something or get more than i need like other companies who pressure employees to up sell all the time which again as a newbie makes me very happy and comfortable coming back. Basically, these guys are great and I never hesitate to visit for either products or advice. Big fan

This store is amazing! My 10 year old is really into the hobby of painting the figures, not playing the game yet. Josh is always so helpful and knowledgeable about everything related to Warhammer. If you can't find something you are looking for, they can probably find it through their online store for you. Great customer service and all around great store. Thank you for all your help!!

Josh is incredibly helpful, he helped introduce me to Warhammer. He will ask if you have any questions anytime you walk into the store and will spend as much time as you need. Whether it is painting tips, how to play, army list building, or any other query Josh is knowledgeable and truly cares to help the customer. I cannot recommend the hobby, this store, and Josh more.
