Academy Sports + Outdoors

Ordered a game for granddaughter online. Order was processed and ready for pickup without any issues. Drove to the store and picked it up. Attendant was friendly and courteous.

We had some unused gift cards and we visited the SA Academy on 1604. We found golf balls, golf pants & shirts, & shoes. At the check out the cashier was so friendly! He made us aware of various discounts & savings totaling $50. We really enjoyed our shopping experience. As always, the store was well stocked, clean, & had plenty of free parking.

Great store in a good area. Academy has everything you need for your next outdoor adventure or sports match up! They have all your favorite team wear, camping gear, and so much more.

This academy store is amazing! The people are so nice and very helpful. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a guns because they are super knowledgeable and very helpful with finding the right gun for us. Also, I cannot stress enough at how patient they are when we ask them questions, and we asked them so many questions. They are more patient than the Cabela’s / bass pro shop at the Rim. I especially would like to Thank Robert, Melissa, and Brandon for all their help. Thank you for all your patience and kindness!

People earn an hourly wage here. Don't but it online, get it here. They also have a website so if it's not on the shelves, you can request it and they'll pull it from the warehouse for you. And somebody gets paid to do that, it's great!

Always clean stores! Grateful they are all laid out similar so when I’m traveling I still know approx where stuff is :)

Best place to find ammo at a normal retail price instead of getting “gouged” at other stores in San Antonio. Picture is the usual line that forms for ammo. They usually have a selection of everything however sell out within two hours or less. Staff have been very professional and organized for the line of buyers.
Note: I have visited various Academy’s within San Antonio for ammo and all visited were the same situation and with two box limit.

Stopped in to buy shoes with my relatives. My aunt was able to find shoes with the help from an associate. She was pleased with what she bought.

Great store. Road construction makes getting there tough in the afternoon but worth the trouble. Friendly folks and a knowledgeable gun counter staff. Clean and orderly. A little cluttered in the aisles but that’s modern retail.

They were great on returns and the guy in the shoe department was very helpful.

They have "everything" I need for saltwater fishing! Replaced my line on 3 reels with exact braid, color & strength I needed. Have accessories such as electric filet knives, pliers, tackle. Love their friendly service.

Same old same old. Got myself a pair of pants that turn to shorts. Its nice to show off at work lol

They are more equip then other stores which is great.

Stopped in at Academy at 1604 & NW Military to see if they had some snap caps for my .22. The attendant in the guns area was really helpful and pointed me to the right location. Unfortunately, the snap caps were plastic so I opted not to buy any.

Had a good time checking prices on ammo. But prices are no bueno as always right now.
Found some deals on North face shirts and Adidas shirts. If you like crocks there are a select few on clearance right now.
No one asked us if we needed assistance, but none was needed anyhow. Very few checkouts available, and it took longer than usual to checkout. Over all everything was clean and organized.

Awesome store off of 1604! The people were very helpful and friendly, I will drive out my way to go back to this store instead of the one on the south side!!
