I love this place. The owners are fantastic. The oils and vinegars are wonderful. If you want ideas on pairings, the owners are exceptionally helpful. They have other products than the oil and vinegars that are great to try and always have great gift ideas. This is what shops in Europe are like and we should have more here in America.

The customer service here is top of the line!!! My sister and I came in looking for Christmas presents for our family, and we accidentally broke a $10 glass spice mix. We tried to pay for the item like 5 times but they wouldn’t let us. The owner and her sister and nephew are all incredibly nice people, and I’ll be shopping here again the next time I’m home for the holidays!!!

Such a nice unique place to shop. The oils add a great richness and flavor to cooking,. My favorites are the garlic and butter, the mushroom and thyme, and Greek EVOO. I love to add the mushroom thyme oil to home simmered spaghetti sauce, and the garlic butter is very good as a dipping oil, add some Tuscan dipping herbs!

The people at Olive and Basket are amazing! They treated us like family. I broke a jar of spices and they refused to let me pay for it. I loved the small-town feel of the shop and the quality of the products. Highly recommend!

Love this place! They have such a wonderful collections of olive oils, vinegars, honey, seasonings and so many other goodies. The staff is warm and really makes you feel like an appreciated customer. Their truffle, butter, garlic olive oil is out of this world! Give them a try! Great stuff for yourself and for gifting.

One of the best kept secrets in Frederick! This is my go to place for gifts for coworkers, relatives, wedding gifts, and more. And treats for me too - pastas, vinegars, oils... I've tried several of the recipes they post on their site and they've all been amazing. They do a great job of periodically changing up their inventory, and fabulous customer service.

The Best Customer Service and such Amazing Quality products. I had the pleasure of being assisted by Pandora today. Pandora's enthusiasm, knowledge and love for the job is admirable. I learned so much about the various olive oil, vinaigrette, spices and jams. I left wanting to buy everything in the store. Pandora shared the most amazing vinaigrette and oil pairing that left me so excited to share with my family. I appreciated the time and patience with my 21 questions about everything. This was a new item and at the last minute decided to get it. We love ice tea. This tea pot can be used to make the tea and then put in the fridge to get cold! We love it!

Went in this afternoon and was the only customer, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise! The women working were so warm and helpful, going through each section of the store and letting me sample the vinegars/oils so I knew when I was getting. They left me alone to browse and shop which was really refreshing but then were so attentive when I had questions! I will absolutely be going back to pick up more gifts in the future!

This is a wonderful store and has hands down the best customer service you will ever experience. Having never stepped foot inside of a store like this, my fiance and I were greeted in a very friendly manner, and were immediately asked what we might be seeking. After informing them that we were looking for party favors for our wedding, the friendly staff helped walk us through the world of oils and vinegars ( there are so many that it can be overwhelming without a guide). After coming to a decision and choosing the favors we wanted, the service at this store just continued to grow, they offered to wrap the favors together for our guests and even tied them all together with a wonderful bow. To top it all off, they offered recipe cards that could be added to the gifts, so that our guests could make amazing foods out of it. Words cannot express how amazing, helpful and friendly everyone was that we interacted with. We will be eternally grateful for their help in making our wedding day one for our guests and us, to remember!

Been passing by this place for a few months now. So glad we finally popped in! They have a great variety of Oils and vinegars, but my favorite is the selection on the different salts and seasonings! We bought their Everything Bagel Seasoning and the Ghost Pepper sea salt. Both are delicious. Not to mention the customer service was excellent! We can’t wait to go back!

I buy all my vinegar here. The selection is unbelievable. You can sample all oil and vinegar and you get a discount if you bring back your clean bottles to refill. There are always some samples of other products as well. The staff is very knowledgeable about all the products and provide recipes as well. There is also a military discount.

Wow! What a great shop with so many good things to choose from. The novello oils are out of this world. I am working on the last of my oil from Uruguay; the aroma and taste of the oil is so fresh. It reminds me of the oil I had in Tuscany a few years ago. I got a large container of the bonsecco and use it in my everyday cooking. I spent a lot of time in the store trying everything. The staff is energetic about the products they offer. They gave me several pairings of flavored oil with flavored vinegars. I never knew something could be so delicious. The lemon oil with the mango vinegar is fantastic together. Lots of spices too! I really like the Mediterranean spices; very different. Most stores only offer Italian style spices, but here it will take you all around the world. Very cool store. It really gets my mind going to how I can use the oils and spices in my normal, everyday cooking. I could go on forever, the pesto, the olives, the tapenade, ….so good. If you are in the neighborhood, I recommend you stopping by. It’s a real treat. Just make sure you a lot enough time to take it all in.

Came in last weekend for a wedding gift. The lady who helped us was amazing!! She helped me built a reasonably priced adorable gift for the new couple!! She even put recipie cards in the beautiful box bag. I will deffinatly be back!!!
