What a beautiful walkway and park in downtown Frederick.

You walk along a well lit and well landscaped walkway alongside Carroll Creek The section I walked along was from S. Market St., to S. Carroll St. Is all brick. The walkway itself was wide and well-maintained. To cross S. Market St., which can be busy, they really have taken into account pedestrian safety, and made it easy to cross there.

We specifically went to see the “Sailing through the Winter Solstice” event which closes the second weekend in March. 25+ boats lit up and decorated. Absolutely beautiful.

It was a beautiful place to take an after dinner walk. Interesting and unique aquatic plants, beautiful water lilies, huge Koi and other fish, even had some ducks. All and all it was a great experience. I think it was my first time at this park in the summer. We usually do the walking tour near Christmas and check out all the interesting decorations they have on display. Definitely recommend checking it out if you find yourself in downtown Frederick.

Very nice walkway along the creek with lots of places to sit and enjoy the view. Right in downtown, so it's near lots of other attractions. Great for couples, families or solo. There's plenty of shops and restaurants next to the park and within a couple blocks. If you can't find parking on the street there are a few garages next to the park also.

Originally a flood control feature, this man-made canal has matured to an especially beautiful landmark of downtown Frederick. This is because of years of contributions and hard work of organizations like "Color on the Creek" for the signature lily planters and the popularity of the "Sailing Through the Winter Solstice" lighted/animated boat displays. It's also the spot for a fun and casual creekside outdoor concert venue "Alive at Five" for hundreds weekly on Thursdays in the warmer months. Year-round it's a lovely place to stroll and enjoy an afternoon with family, or walk the promenade before or after dinner at one of the many nearby restaurants.

Very pretty during golden hour and a perfect walk following shopping and eating downtown! The lily blooms are gorgeous in the beginning of Fall. Make sure to return for the boat displays after November, too!

First time visiting Carroll Creek Park. My wife and I had a wonderful time. It is an absolutely beautiful area with many shops and restaurants along the creek and walkway. Plenty of spots to sit and rest as well. We came to see the annual boats lit up with Chistmas lights!!

Nice little park in middle of town. Street and garage parking near by. Short little park along the canal with plenty of benches. Many shops and restaurants on both sides. 10/10

This is a beautiful paved walking path. Go as short or far as you like. Nice clean environment. Love walking along the creek any time of year!

Went during December. Great to walk around the city and have a bunch of light displays up and down the canal. Very dog friendly area as well.

The area was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The boats in the creek were so unique and fun, adding to the holiday spirit. Such a great place for an evening stroll.

A true gem of Frederick City. Plenty of trails, lots to see, and activities all around. Shops, restaurants, and quick access to downtown. Wonderful water plants make it a summer treat for the eyes.

This amazing park in downtown Frederick has everything - beautiful landscaping, several fabulous pedestrian bridges, public art, performance spaces, and numerous restaurants and bars along the walkways. I've been to many places that draw comparisons but this is the best in the U.S. If you visit in early July, the blooming water lilies alone make it worthwhile.

You will enjoy your walk along the canal. Nice bridges, lilies in bloom, big carp in the canal, nice coffee shops and restaurants along the way — you need nothing else for a pleasant walk and time in Frederick. Plenty of street and garage parking.
