Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Let's start off by saying Ros was an absolute gem. I haven't had such good service in a long time, it was a very enjoyable experience. Not only is she an outstanding worker she was a great ambassador to the community. I love the way she interacted with our children making them feel right at home especially after being on the road for 5 or 6 hours as we travel from Toronto towards the nation's capital. I certainly hope that she gets recognition for her efforts.
The food was outstanding. The portion sizes were very generous.
And we definitely were completely satisfied with our visit here today.

Our service was good and the food was delicious. There was no wait when we went so we were able to get in and out. It was nicely decorated for the holidays and had a lot of good sales too. I loved that the fireplace was going and gave a very comforting vibe to our dining.

You can't go wrong here. Decent food, and great staff each time we visit.

It does get crowded quickly especially weekends around 11am-ish.

Was very surprised by the change in menu! No more "kids of any age" on the menu! I'm a light eater, so usually have ordered from that option in the past. I feel that we got a lot for our $, and brought leftovers for the next day! Great service by the waiter and the staff, in general. Great food, as well.

We must have gotten there at a great time because there was no weight. The manager was extremely nice. Our waitress was Roslyn and she was fantastic. Food was good except our eggs were a little cold. Will be returning.

Quick seating, pleasant service, great tasting food. Bathroom was clean and had appealing air freshener.

We had a server names John Rogers; he said he was the manager but they were pretty busy so he stepped up and took care of us, Great food and service John is the best.

Everyone was so nice and we received service right away. The food was awesome. I had my favorite which was the catfish and fried apples and green beans. I’m from southern Virginia and this place really reminds me of that good country cooking.

Waitress was very sweet, checked to make sure we were doing ok and made sure we had our free refills. Everyone there has welcoming smiles and make you feel at home.

Impeccable service from the man himself, Wes. He informed us that the max waiter rating is 4 stars. I believe he not only earned, but DESERVES, 5 stars. Cracker Barrel, you better give him 5 stars man.

The restaurant is always busy around noon and it is always nice to see a lot of people, even though the wait time can be very long. Luckily, they have a very unique store to browse through while waiting.

The food is always comforting and filling. I got the maple glazed chicken with bacon, fries, and mac & cheese. It is my favorite item on the menu because the maple flavor encompasses the flavors making the chicken very savory. I did ask for ranch and it took 10 minutes to come out, but i understand it is a one-time thing. It is the perfect restaurant to go to with your family.

Love the atmosphere and decor, simplicity of the meals and wonderful service. I didn’t realize they had this meal hidden on the back of the menu after all these years. My grandmother use to make this when I was little. Brought back some nostalgic moments. Always greeted with a smile, seated relatively quick (for a Sunday morning) and speedy service. Can’t go wrong.

Our waiter Diego was awesome with our big party that included small kids. Breakfast was great, came out all at once, warm and delicious.

I feel the food is not always like it use to be. The pancakes crisp edge is what made them my favorite but the crisp edge was not there this time. I asked for crisp bacon and got limp bacon. So disappointing

Roselyn was amazing! I had 3 kids with me and had my hands full. She catered to the children and even created special drinks to appease them. In a world where great customer service is tough at any price point, I was amazed to find Roselyn giving 110% at the local Cracker Barrel.

Here's another restaurant I find myself at a minimum of twice per week. I love the cozy atmosphere the fireplace provides during the cold winter months. Last week my sister and I went to Cracker Barrel for lunch since I am a fairly common customer who comes on a weekly basis our waitresses was familiar that I am a regular and The lunch rush was not even that busy on this day. She must have been overwhelmed or easily distracted taking much too long to take our drink orders even though we were also prepared to order our meals. It just so happens that the both of us happen to stand up at the exact same time to leave without having lunch first, as we we decided it was better to just get-up-and-go then to pick up my daughter late from Pre-K and have to pay a let’s fee. Upon walking out the door we were stopped by the manager working that shift by the name of Sydney who
got straight to the point and asked us what we wanted to order and very professionally insisted that we go have a seat back to the table where we came from. Within 5 minutes he had our drinks and food ready to go! If all restaurants were lucky enough to have managers who treated their customers the way Sydney treated us then every single one of those restaurants would easily be successful. I only ask that Cracker Barrel go the extra mile and provide Sydney with the recognition he definitely deserves…. at a very least a bonus on his next check!!!
***I know that I wrote this review over a year ago, but I feel the need to update it due to the nature of service that I recently encountered by another manager by the name of Richard who carries himself with extreme professionalism, and made my visit to the Frederick Cracker Barrel location much more comfortable than I had anticipated the other day. Whomever is in charge of hiring the managers (and employees) of this location is doing an excellent job because I have yet to encounter any other managers who are not out to provide anything other than excellent customer service and are not above going out of their way to ensure that each customer leaves extremely satisfied. Keep up the good work Cracker Barrel and I will continue to visit on a weekly basis where every employee makes me feel as if I am a guest in their home!!!

Visited location in Maryland. Staff was awesome. Went above and beyond to make sure we got everything we needed and showed compassion after lost of my aunt. Really appreciated kind words from staff.

Lucas was our server and he was absolutely fantastic, we were his last table but we would have never known with how fantastic he was.
The food was delicious, especially the fried apples.

Our server was really sweet! It was ny sister's birthday when we went. She made her feel really special.

Jen (our server) was amazing as always. The food was hot and delicious. The fire was crackling and warm. Will definitely be back.
