The customer service has greatly improved in the past year (2022-23). There was one woman who was not friendly or helpful, nor too smart. She's gone. Now I find them very responsive, friendly and helpful. And the pharmacy is open every day, unlike many other Duane Reades or Walgreens. Highly recommend this particular Duane Reade corner E 56 & Third, NYC.

Great spot. I work overnight at the post office 2 blocks down and can always rely on them to be open when I need to drink and eat something. Cashiers are very nice and selection is great

Always find what I need. Everyone is very helpful. Being open 24 hours is great in case you need something that you forgot or need a snack.

Open 24/7 customer service is good. Its a very large Duane Reade and everything is on one floor. Lots of snacks and sandwiches available.

UPDATE MAY 2021:

Back to 24 hours for quite some time-- just wanted everyone to know. I upgraded my rating to reflect that.

This place ia huge -- the only downside is the hit-or-miss checkout cashiers. Some of them are decent but some frankly would jave trounle proving they were human beings on an aptitude test.

Ugh. This place is supposed to be 24 hours but a tacky piece of paper in the windows notes the hours are 7am to 8:45pm.

This is a great Duane reade but not if it has limited hours.

Hoping that this changes soon.

As long as you don’t use the pharmacy or ask to use the bathroom it’s great . Get what u need and get on your way .
