Duane Reade

Personally I love this duane Reade. Convenient, friendly staff, security and pharmacy. Miss D. is amazing lady has worked there for long time and always makes you laugh or leave with a smile at the very least.

Staff is very friendly and the new layout is nice much better than the previous one. I usually come here after work and the store is always clean and neat. Ms. Dee at the register is a doll and always makes me laugh.

Not sure what's up with the bad reviews, but I have had zero issues with this store, 3 times now - guy working here has been fine, sometimes even courteous. No issues with their stock either.

I went this morning to the pharmacy department and the pharmacist. She was very helpful very professional. Definitely going back there very friendly.

I love this location. The pharmacy staff are extremely helpful and compassionate. Phones are answered quickly and efficiently. You won’t be placed on hold for long periods or run in an endless automated loop while waiting to speak to someone. I’ve never waited more than a minute or two to pick up a script. Like any pharmacy, they sometimes run out but the staff here will go out of their way to get it for you. The pharmacists even call periodically to see how you’re feeling! Who does that anymore?! I’m deducting a star for the actual store downstairs because the checkout line is not for the weak. There’s routinely only 1 cashier even with a line of 10+ people. Store is well stocked.

I go there all the time..store is neat and clean...haven't had to have much interaction with staff because I could always find what I need

If I could rate this location 0 stars I would. Every single time I come to the register.. there is a female worker about 5’3 and a “light” brown complexion with big eyes that looks at whatever worker is ringing me up at the moment and laughs as if something is always funny JUST as I arrive. When I’m waiting in line.. I don’t see her do it to anyone else so it must be personal insecurities, however, I am always very respectful and the next time she does it... her manager and I will have a very different conversation. In fact, I am very offended because I don’t laugh at her when I come in considering there are multiple reasons why I could do so. The disrespect towards a paying customer is unacceptable!

If I could give a quarter of a star I would ....maybe! After googling store hours made my way over in a taxi...arrived 15 minutes before closing time (7:45 on a Sunday night) only to find the door locked. All the lights were on inside and I did see an employee milling around completely ignoring my attempts to get his attention. I called the store multiple times...finally a woman answered and I told her I desperately needed to get one thing (my child was ill) and she proceeded to tell me that they closed the store 15 minutes early to “clean up”. I explained I needed to get one item, I knew exactly what it was and I would be in and out in one minute. She stated they had closed the registers...I offered to pay cash with no intention of receiving any change and she told me no and “she could not help me”. It was now 7:50-7:55 and there was an employee restocking water, trying to get his attention by knocking on the doors I was completely ignored. Duane Reade is a joke...their employees need to be trained in customer service and if they are going to lock the doors at 7:45 don’t advertise that your store will be open until 8.

Go there aftet work at midnight, there's a young male, dark skin, with glasses. When I walked in, he completely ignored me and continued to talk into his Bluetooth/headset, carrying on with a personal conversation. Having no idea he even worked there, I looked all over for an employee, not finding one. It wasn't until I waited at an empty counter for a cashier that I realized he was an employee and came to ring me up. Im a black male and it is not a race thing but he needs to be fired. Horrible service, and I will never go to this Duane Reade again.

I'm pretty sure this business is ripping off consumers. I bought some deodorant there once that was supposed to be on sale; when I got to the register, the sale price was not taken and I was charged more. Being in a hurry, I didn't protest. Today, I went in to buy nail polish remover. The sign at the display said one price, the register rang it up as a dollar more. I just left it. This Duane Reade seriously needs to get its stuff together before someone reports it o the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs.

Never go here again First they said They had my medicine , then After 30 minutes waiting and returning back while they put wrong address in my original prescription, they told me we do not have enough quantity of that medicine . The worst pharmacy that I have ever seen. They ruined my prescription.

Bought a box of chocolate - Raffaelo at regular price.
It tasted funny. I checked the expiration date and it was 5 months expired :(
