Prospect Park

My visit to Prospect Park in Brooklyn was an enchanting experience, a true testament to the beauty of nature amidst urban surroundings. This vast park, a gem in the heart of the city, is a haven for those seeking a peaceful retreat or an active day outdoors.

The park’s expanse is impressive, offering a diverse landscape that includes lush meadows, dense woodlands, and tranquil water bodies. The presence of ducks gliding gracefully on the park’s ponds adds a picturesque quality to the scenery. It’s a delightful sight that complements the natural beauty of the area.

What’s truly remarkable about Prospect Park is its vibrant atmosphere. It serves as a communal hub where kids can be seen playing joyfully, and people of all ages engage in various activities. Runners regularly loop around the park, taking advantage of the well-maintained paths and the motivating, natural backdrop.

Amazing park with meadows, trails and vast open spaces! Awesome park if you are looking to take your dog for a walk! Beautiful arches, plenty of trails for walking and biking as well!

The central park of Brooklyn and very much alike, aside from the fact that it's a bit more wild and bit less tourist and more locals. Beautiful combination of water and green, people and animals, and it's all in the middle of town. Easy to navigate via public transportation from and to the city.

As Brooklyn's backyard prospect Park boosts a lake waterfall and beautiful walking trails. It has biking paths and a nice amount of sports fields. It also has a few amenities such as ice skating in the winter and roller blades in the summer. There is also a boat rental and bike rental. All in all this park makes for a great place to visit all year round.

I've been coming to this park since 2009, I'm from Rome, Italy and I'm really fascinated by this park because it's full of life, clean then train then have fun you can relax in peace thank you for knowing this wonderful place I recommend it to others for me the rating is 100👍😍🇺🇸

Prospect Park is the second largest park in Brooklyn, opened in 1867. It was laid out by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, who also helped design Manhattan's Central Park. It’s less manicured than the latter and more ‘wild’. Only got to see small parts by the lake—the only lake in Brooklyn with a small island. More locals than tourists. Definitely worth revisiting.

It's an absolutely amazing place! So quite, peaceful and clean! Love these waterfalls and big turtles in the water.

Prospect Park is an urban park in Brooklyn, New York City. The park is situated between the neighborhoods of Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Flatbush, and Windsor Terrace, and is adjacent to the Brooklyn Museum, Grand Army Plaza, and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. With an area of 526 acres (213 ha),[5] Prospect Park is the second largest public park in Brooklyn, behind Marine Park. Designated as a New York City scenic landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Prospect Park is operated by the Prospect Park Alliance and NYC Parks.

Beautiful park. In my opinion, more foresty then Central Park. Boat rentals, great bike path, plenty of water fountains, there is even a waterfall!

Very nice park, come here to bike ride, enjoy a walk,picnic or just simply to relax located next to the bk botanical garden and bk museum. Experience better than I expected. Great for kids and adults alike.

Absolutely lovely park - there are tons of trails you can take in the park and there are tons of open space as well to grill, picnic, or just relax somewhere in the park. There are some restrooms and water fountains located around the park as well. Amazing park - highly recommend!

Prospect Park locates in a King’s borrow (Brooklyn). Design with attention to details with love and beauty. Lake, bicycle lane, and playgrounds. Also you can visit a zoo and botanical garden. It’s not a similar as other parks. It’s just gorgeous Prospect Park.

Large, spacious "cental" park in Brooklyn with lots of paths for walking, running, dog-walkimg, strolling. Lake, ponds, playgrounds, open areas (and a beach) for dogs. Yeah for clean, green, huge urban parks!

I visited my friend, who lived 2 blocks from the park and every morning we went there for a walk. As many parks in the city, it is very pleasant to walk by. Mainly locals around, with a lot of joggers, families and dogs. Good way to start our days

Prospect park is the perfect place to go on a run, a walk, a picnic, sight seeing, ice skating, zoo watching and so much more. It’s really confusing to get to those places because it’s massive and in certain areas there these drunk people smoking and parting which kinda scares me. But over all very nice park

Fall is one of the best times to visit. Take side paths after visiting the Great Meadow!

Wedding photographer's perspective: Prospect Park in Brooklyn is just nice. If you saw my Brooklyn Botanic Garden review, I was in both places with the same wedding clients on the same day.

My clients love this place and I can see why. They explained to me that the same designer of Central Park came up with this one; the great level of detail is apparent in Prospect as well, which is cool.

There's everything here from water to the Peristyle building (I had to look this one up; it's the white one you see in my photos). The surrounding neighborhood seems to be jumping. My one regret is that I didn't have time to stop for food on my way back to Grand Central.

On our way out, I was happy to see the gigantic splash pad, which is apparently a skating rink when it's cold. I'm a newish dad and was thinking of being able to bring my daughter to visit one day.

Long story short, I'm a wedding photographer who likes Prospect Park a lot! Definitely check it out if you're in Brooklyn.

Beautiful park, nice spot for barbecue, lots of places for the kids to do sports, and when I went, the colours were amazing

This is actually my favorite park of all time. I’ve celebrated birthdays here, enjoyed casual strolls, physically enduring bike rides, and enjoyed fun trails off the main roads. The people who tend to frequent the park are incredibly warm and down to earth.
