These folks are great, the staff are all woodworking folks with wide range of experience, I've found everyone who works here is able and helpful!

Add that to a good stock of essentials and great brands -- in addition to being a staple of my wood working life, they're a pleasure to do business with.

This is a wonderful store! The people working there are very patient, knowledgeable and helpful. They have some unique things for woodworking! Definitely check it out if you’re in the area or looking for some high quality woodworking supplies!

So sad to see this place close at end of 2023, after 40 years of having it here. I will miss it. The customer service has always been top notch, the quality of the tools also has been very high. Sure you won't see tooling prices in the Amazon or Harbor Freight price range, but then again, those are "relative junk" to wat you got here, great quality. I still have hi-quality router bits fr here bought 35+ yrs ago, not so w the cheapos.. ie: U get wat U pay4, deffn applies here!! The closest Rockler is now in Salem, NH..

Nice spot. You pay a premium, but the organisation and the ability to select specific pieces of wood at ones leisure justifies the price. Great staff.

Easily the best and only specialty woodworking shop in the Boston area, this is where you can find tools and materials related to fine woodworking and specialty carpentry.

Rockler has its own line of equipment and materials for fine woodworking which is sold here as well. While a lot of commerce has moved online, this is the sort of stuff you MUST have a brick and mortar store for, so you can see what you need, and what you're getting, scale, fit, finished, etc. Save yourself a series of Amazon Prime deliveries and returns, come take a look and finally get the right thing for your project.

Staff is very helpful. Store has more than you can browse in a day, covering woodworking, carving, drawer and cabinet hardware, and resin casting.
I don't live nearby, so I try to stop in whenever I am in the area. Really great place.

I went in not really knowing how to describe what I had and didnt take a good picture, but I had the old hinge (no longer made and was broken). I felt really dumb because what should have been an easy fix was, in fact, a mess. The gentlemen who helped me were awesome. I showed them the old hinge and described the cabinet door and placement. They told me what I needed was no longer made, but showed me the newer way of doing it and how to install it. I finally got around to doing it. Cabinet fixed!

I took two workshops so far, Eric’s cuttingboard class and Palo’s kumiko course, both were excellent, highly recommend. If you like to work with hand tools only, don’t miss kumiko!

I needed some 48" shelf standards for a cabinet. There were none on display in the store, because they had some 72 inch standards that were bent on one end. Two employees went into the basement storage area and found those, which I was able to buy for the cost of the 48" standard. Very helpful and makes it a pleasure to shop there.

Huge selection, convenient location, and best of all, amazing staff knowledge and willingness to help. Brought in an antique chair I wanted to refinish. Woody (has there ever been a more appropriate name??) patiently walked me through my options and helped me take detailed notes on the steps I’d be doing. First chair already came out great. Looking forward to going back for my next project.

Truly the Pinnacle utopia of any woodworkers destination. Unparalleled selection and quality of name brand or in house specialized woodworking jigs and tools. High end wood selection tops the bill. The benefit of selecting in person combined with the knowledgeable staff creates an enjoyable stop at anytime.

Great experience at the bowl making/woodworking class, I think I may have found my new favorite hobby. Palo was an exceptional teacher, very calm, knowledgeable, and helpful. Highly recommend!

I’m repairing a desk with extremely obscure hardware that needed replacing. Though they didn’t have it in the store, the Rockler staff helped me find a vendor with the right cam lock and cases online. They also talked through the gluing job I need to do and helped select the best wood glue. The prices were reasonable. And nobody assumed I’m an idiot because I’m a girl. I’ll definitely be back!

Frankly, I want Woody to become a regular at my bar. He was the coolest guy, had all the answers to questions we didn't even know to ask. Support this business.

The sale item of the router depth gauge was out of stock. The sales associate assisted me in purchasing the item with free shipping. He was very helpful and saved me a subsequent trip to the store.

Very helpful on making a purchase, the manger was also helping me make a decision on a miter gauge so I made the purchase and I am satisfied. Will be going back, Rockler sells good products. Kudos to Peter tha manager.

First time in... I could spend hours here looking at all of the tools, hardware, and woodworking supplies. They had tons of specialty fasteners that I needed, higher quality and lower price than Home Depot. I can't believe I've never come here before, but I definitely will come again.
