We ordered our gender reveal cake from here. Their costumer service was excellent, they catered to all of our requests. The cake was made in a timely manner and the decoration exceeded our expectations. Not only did it look great, but it tasted great too! I definitely recommend this bakery.

Came to Asheville to visit my daughter for her birthday and ordered the most delicious cake from short Street cakes. Their chocolate butter cake with the buttercream icing. Beautifully decorated just the way she wanted it.

I had a great experience with Short Street Cakes! I ordered two medium cakes for a birthday party, and they were fantastic. The cakes were sweetly decorated to my specifications, tasted amazing, and were reasonably priced. The homemade flavors were well-rounded, and you could tell that the cakes were made with love. I love Short Street Cakes!! I wanted to have a mix of vegan and regular cupcakes at my wedding at the Lake Lure Inn, and they had so many wonderful options. They were also so kind and easy to communicate with -- I loved going to their cute shop for a taste test! And the cupcakes and our little cut cake were so delicious and beautiful! We got tons of compliments! We would highly recommend them to anyone!!

We preordered a three tier chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream icing and they crushed it! The cake was absolutely delicious, It reminded me of homemade cakes I had from childhood.

Short Street provided cupcakes and a cutting cake for our wedding, and we could not have been happier! We had tried their cupcakes several times, and knew they were our pick for our baker! They were easy to work with and communicative as we worked through flavors, delivery etc.

Short Street Cakes was a wonderful choice! We ordered a medium cake for my brother’s wedding and got it topped with fresh flowers. The folks there were so easy to work with, and the cake was DELICIOUS. Everyone raved about it. If I lived in Asheville, I would order cakes here on the regular.

Short Street Cakes came highly recommended to us by our elopement coordinator and I must say they exceeded all expectations! The team at Short Street Cakes were very professional and the cake ended up looking and tasting far better than cakes twice their price. The fresh flowers were added by the bakery and it went perfectly with our wedding theme. The cake was so delicious our guests went back for seconds! The true depiction of how beautiful this cakes presentation lies with the comments by our server who stated that the chefs at the Grove Park Inn who assisted in cutting our cake were very impressed! Would recommend for any and all occasions.

The staff has amazing customer service and they are all so friendly! This shop is so versatile with their options, being a gluten-free eater. Their cakes are so delicious 😋

Short street cakes made my cake and cupcakes for my wedding... they were AMAZING. I knew when I did a tasting that they were perfect. Everyone said it was the best wedding cake they've ever had. Short Street made the most amazing vegan cake for our wedding. Nobody knew it was vegan. It was rich, delicious and one of the most wonderful cakes that we've ever had. This was the common consensus (and we had some discerning guests). They even made some gluten-free cupcakes for a few of our guests. Highly recommend!

Ordered a Cake on Thursday. The person taking the order over the phone was maybe not the best order taker ever, but he was patient and kind and they make exactly what I asked for and it was really delicious. It was ready when they said it would be. The only thing I should or would have liked was a total when I placed the order. However, it was worth every penny and we were all extremely happy! I highly recommend their cakes! I placed an order for a cake while planning a vacation over my wife's birthday out of state. Short Street Cakes did an amazing job and this coconut cream cake just melted in our mouths!

Hands down best-ever wedding cake I've ever eaten, and I'm so proud to say it was our own and baked by the amazing Short Street Cakes! We got so many compliments on our wedding cake, and we really appreciate the vegan options. Amazing lavender icing, soft interior (on both the regular and vegan) and loved the crushed blueberry filling! Also the communication was amazing -- thank you Tomas and the whole team!

This was forever ago, like a whole year, but I just realized I forgot to leave a review (I’m thinking of ordering from them again). I ordered a unicorn birthday cake for my daughter way in advance, and when I went to pick it up the day of the party they had lost our order and didn’t have a cake 😬. I wasn’t a happy camper, BUT everyone makes mistakes. They really went out of their way to fix it, and within an hour or so they delivered the cake to our front door. It was a quick turn around. The icing wasn’t totally set, so the horn got a little wonky, but my toddler didn’t care. The cake was delicious and everyone wanted to know where we ordered it. Ideally they wouldn’t have misplaced the order, but I greatly appreciate how far they went to make it right on a weekend when they clearly didn’t have a lot of staff on hand. In the end they delivered (literally) the cake we wanted. The same mistake from a lot of places might have left us without one at all.

Still has the most amazing vegan carrot cake! We ordered 3 tiers (separated) for our wedding (no raisins, just a preference) and they were stunning and delicious! Thank you so much for all your help, we can't wait to come back to the area next year for our anniversary cake 💖

We were spending Thanksgiving near Asheville and needed a birthday cake for our 16 year-old daughter and admittedly it was a last minute request (4 days notice) and all the other bakeries were unable to accommodate our requested date. Oh and we needed it to be vegan due to food allergies! Well, Short Street came through with their Strawberry Short Street cake that looked beautiful and was delicious! Best birthday cake my daughter has ever had.

We ordered a vegan cake for my kiddo's birthday as the child has a severe dairy allergy. Not only was the cake absolutely delicious but it was obvious that a good deal of time and energy was put into it. My kiddo said it was the best cake ever!! Highly recommend this business for your next special occasion. We will definitely be back.
