Wow, what an incredible experience! I can't stop raving about the amazing food, drinks, and service. Steve, was not only friendly and engaging but also provided us with some excellent dining recommendations. The fried green tomatoes were so fresh and crunchy, and the chicken and waffles were bursting with flavor and just the right amount of spice. And let me tell you, Sam, the bartender, is a true master. She made my old-fashioned cocktail just how I like it - nice and strong. I couldn't have asked for a better night out!

The food here is always delicious. It is usually busy so you have to plan ahead if you want to come on a busy night. I believe we either made a reservation or called ahead when we were on our way. The service was good and the manager was very nice. He was gracious enough to provide us a free appetizer when he found out it was our anniversary! The potatoes and the brussels sprouts were exceptional.

Friends took us to Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen for dinner on our first trip to Asheville. They gave us three restaurants to pick from and we both felt this was the right one. We shared two chicken dinners. One friend had the smash burger which looked like an excellent choice. If you want healthy options you’d be best with a reliable burger! But the food is all delicious.

I had Casamigos tequila with lime and soda water (kinda like a Ranch Water) and my wife had the Ginger Beer with Tumeric. We both enjoyed our drinks.

The service was excellent, and  all of us enjoyed our meal.

First time eating at the famous Tupelo Honey in Asheville. We had to see what the hype is about.

Went to lunch there today Wednesday April 17.

I had the breakfast Skoolie bowl and it was so delicious. My friend ordered a Mac and cheese waffle with chicken. She didn’t realize it had ranch on it and she doesn’t eat mayonnaise. Our server was Grant and he so kindly apologized even though it wasn’t his fault and he also brought her a dessert to make up for the mistake.

We could tell that Grant was warm hearted. His service was so appreciated and especially his eye contact and smiles.

The food was just over the top delicious. We loved it.

The atmosphere was adorable too. Even the bathroom was cute too.

The staff was very and the food was great!

We shared several dishes, including the Brussel sprouts, fried green tomatoes, fried pickles, biscuit appetizer, chicken with macaroni waffle and regular honey chicken and waffles. The cups were also very fun, so we purchased a few.

Everything is awesome. (They have mimosa flights!) We had great service even though they were slammed. Our favorite sides were the broccolini and rosemary parmesan potatoes. The rice and beans and gumbo came in a close second. For entrees our group got the spicy chicken sandwich, avocado melt and burger. They were all delicious- rated 5 stars by the family. We wrapped it up with the banana pudding, yum!

We shared the Brussels sprouts, mac n cheese waffles, grits and pecan pie and another dessert. Since we were also celebrating my birthday , they surprised us with a complimentary dessert too. The food and service was fast and friendly

This place is amazing 🤩 I recently brought a friend here from Boston and they really went above and beyond and showed him what true southern hospitality is all about. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I will continue coming to this location for many years to come and always introducing new people to Tupelo Honey 🍯

We always stop at the downtown location when we visit Asheville. This is really good southern cooking. I had the shrimp and grits and it was fantastic. My wife got the avocado toast and eggs and it was equally good. We tried the Mimosa Flight for the first time and, while I didn't expect to taste much of a difference, they were quite distinct! Also, please get the "Biscuit for a Cause" as an appetizer. It is delicious and they contribute the proceeds to Tupelo Honey Relief & Development Funds that aid Tupelo employees in need, when you purchase them.

Our adventure in Asheville when it came to finding food that had seasoning was difficult to say the least. However, on our last day, we stopped at Tupelo Honey for brunch after reading many reviews. It’s best to make a reservation, otherwise you could be waiting a long time. The décor and atmosphere of Tupelo is charming, down to earth and representative of Asheville.

We were fortunate to have Jamie as our waitress as she was very exceptional in all aspects of our dining experience. She gave great recommendations and truly empathized with us.

I ordered the regular Chicken and Waffles and being a fan of them, I knew what to expect. Tupelo’s take on Chicken and Waffles was very good and I was pleasantly surprised or finally happy to have great food in Asheville. The seasoning was plentiful, the portion sizes were great and the bacon on the side was a good addition.

Overall, I enjoyed our meal at Tupelo Honey, our waitress was wonderful and you should ask for her when you dine here. The service was fast, professional, friendly and thoughtful. We will definitely make this a go to spot when visit Asheville in the future.

My first visit and I enjoyed myself. I like the atmosphere... Of a bar and restaurant together... Cozy and inviting. Everyone enjoyed their food such as the Lemon Garden Salad and Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich. The Fried Tomatoes... yummy.
Although, my Chicken and Waffles was fair... It was good but my chicken tasted bland.

Tupelo Margaret is great . The source of the famous fried green tomatoes are so good. Ordered the braised beef barbacoas tasted good, can feel the goat cheese grits make braised beef with more flavour. Meatloaf is very tasty! Servers are great and sweet. It’s great dinner.

Great southern cuisine. Creative, delicious takes on southern staples. Been here for both Brunch and Dinner and every dish was outstanding, service is great, place is busy, buzzy and a bit loud, but doesn't distract from the experience (I kind of like it that way...). Asheville has lots of great places to eat, and this is one of them.

The food was delicious and service was fast and friendly. I had the meatloaf which was juicy and very flavorful. It was not like any meatloaf I have ever eaten. My friend had the sweet and spicy chicken sandwhich and enjoyed it. The rosemary fries were delicious, and, so was the Blood Orange Marg. The roasted Brussels sprouts were good.

I can't say enough good things about our experience here! Between the beautiful patio seating, a wonderful waitress that answered every question, and killer food this place is a 12/10! We tried the blueberry lemonade mimosa and the blood orange mimosa and they were so refreshing and tasty. Perfect ratio! My husband enjoyed the Old Skool bowl and I had the classic chicken and waffles. Both meals were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. We will for sure be recommending this place to everyone!

Great food and service. We really enjoyed the food, and would recommend the chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and pork shoulder. Would gladly dine here again.

I wanted good southern comfort food and Asheville has NOT disappointed! MIMOSAS!!! Southern Hospitality (peach) & Bless Your Heart (blood orange) YUMMY!! Advise to make reservations. As a solo traveler I got right in sat on covered heated patio but groups were up to 45 min. wait. Great Service.

This place came recommended by two friends from back home. First and foremost for you parents(!!!!!!!) both bathrooms have baby changing tables. That came in super clutch✅. Dashawn (spelling?) was our server and immediately made us feel welcomed. Our 3month old baby was asleep and he was very careful and considerate to not wake her. Thank you!!!

For appetizers we had:
Spicy cauliflower: it was amazing! The spicy wasn’t overwhelming and the texture and consistency was A+.

Biscuits: 2 biscuits with butter and jam on the side. Sorry there are no pictures, we crushed them before they got cold. They were also good and a fair size to share 1 order with 4 people.

For dinner:
Meatloaf with side of Brussels sprouts and baked Mac and cheese. I overheard our server recommend the sides to another table and how passionate he was about them made me switch from a meal with 1 side (shrimp po’boys) to the meatloaf that came with two sides. The flavor on everything was A+.

My wife got the chicken with baked Mac and cheese and she loved it. She gave me a piece to try, knowing I’m not a big chicken fan, and I enjoyed it! It wasn’t overwhelmingly crispy or dry. Pretty on the dot for what you want your chicken to be.

We never felt rushed and felt very welcomed and free to take our time. Sometimes as tourists you don’t get the best service at places, but tonight we were treated as if it was our 17th time at Tupelo Honey this week. Will be back!

The food was amazing and our server was a queen! She was on top of everything and had great suggestions! I've wanted to eat here for years but never wanted to do the wait to get in! It's well worth it, everything we got was amazing and was so good we were sharing and trying each other's food! Amazing portions and delicious food! We will be going back for sure!
