Been going to the park for a long time. Man oh man, has it been a strange journey and a transformative landscape and relationship... Beautiful piece of land stuck right in the divide where Central-South meets WestSide. My pups love getting in the water here! There are a few places to recharge electronics if necessary, *by the racetrack bathrooms and the covered picnic tables. A bathroom by the track and one at the other end of Amboy Rd in the Dog Park section of Greenway. There's a cool spot to rent bikes smack dab in the middle and tubing shenanigans during summer just across the road from bike rentals. My GodMother got married here, my car broke down and I was stranded here for a week, I camped here temporarily until the Autumn Season shook the cover of leaves away, and I currently visit this park or use it as a quick connection from Amboy to Haywood Rd Bridge and the Arts District.

We love this dog park for our 5yo husky to play fetch and our 6mo lab mix to wrestle with other dogs. It's the biggest fenced park that we've found in Asheville.
We've only encountered one aggressive dog in all of our visits and the owner removed their dog after a few scuffles before anything happened.

The dog owners were so kind and patient with my young dogs. The other dogs were well behaved. Lots of space, great view of river, large and small dog areas, both with water. There were others who were traveling and made the stop at this nice park. Easy freeway access but my GPS missed the entrance and took me up the high road. Entrance at bottom of hill but dog park is straight down on the right. Clean restrooms at park entrance too.

I love how they have 2 dog areas. One for big dogs and one for small dogs. Big areas for play and very. Lean and safe. Great place to spend the day. We always have a wonderful time, and our dog, Betelgeuse, loves it. Exercise for the entire family; human and doggies. We love it.

It's a nice dog park with separate sections for big and small dogs. There are a couple of picnic tables and even some shade on hot summer days.

Wonderful place for a good walk alongside the river with my dog. He loved it but was loudest, unfriendliest dog there ... tho always adorably cute. If we walked it daily I'm sure he would adjust. But we were visiting and he was excited.

So nice! A little muddy the da we went. A short walk to New Belgium Brewery. Steps away from the river. Helpful if you see what my dog looked like after the park.

Nice clean and quiet. Took my Granddoggy Salem he seemed quite happy and worn out afterwards.

We love this park! Large area for dogs 25+ pounds, small area for dogs under 25 pounds. Water and poo bags available. Along the river and beautiful. Within a lovely park with trails and restrooms.

Best dog park in Asheville. Separate areas for big and little dogs. Part of a larger park that is a nice walk on the river.

This place has come a long way. The trail is very comfortable for jogs, runs 🏃‍♀ or walks with a beautiful view of the French Broad River.

Big dog and small dog area a short walk from the parking lot. Located on the river walk and has a clean restroom in the parking lot.

Adult dogs and puppies having fun running and playing together...My 5 month old Kerry Blue LOVES this place. Today first with the big dogs... 99% of people pick up after their dogs... a few don't.so beware you may step in a surprise.. My only other "Wish" is that I could hose off my dog post run... They just added some black mulch and even though I run him straight to the shower after our visits, there was black pigment streaming off his feel/legs in the shower today that took a while to rinse out... Asheville is such a great dog town and this is park proves it.

Great place to let your furry one run around, location is right beside the park and only a short walk from the parking lot. There are two lots for small and larger dogs, although depending on the dog and their temperament its totally up to you. There is a small buffer area in-between the park so you don’t accidentally let out another dog and there is also an area to clean or give your dog fresh water.

There's a fenced in area for smaller dogs and another fenced in area for the bigger dogs. The river is right beside the park which gives a natural calming effect & view.

This park was a one-time stop for me and my dog as we passed through. We found above our heads a clear view of Asheville's painted sky, a beauty which was unobtainable through the humble lens of my camera. We watched the kayakers, paddleboarders, a slackliner, couples, friends, families, and a kind man with a broken bike. All the people whose paths can converge on one night via a walk in the park, or a paddle in the river. Yes, there is a hum of cars whizzing down the road, there are trains across the river and powerlines which intersect with the paths. This is Asheville, after all. Still, the beauty of a place that can remind you of the beauty within our planet is more than enough. I'm glad I went. My dog says she liked the water.

This is a wonderful Park to go and hang out. There's plenty of picnic tables, a gazebo, and several paths for biking and walking etc. Parking can be hard to find.

Love to bring my fur babies here for a walk around the beautiful park and letting them play with other dogs in the dog park. Peaceful serenity with beautiful scenery. Great place to bring your family with a playgrounds for kids, or just by yourself

This is literally the coolest, best park/dog-park that I have ever seen + been to! There were people everywhere enjoying the beautiful spots + sites along the river throughout the entire park. It looked as if it was a downtown bar/hot-spot & everyone was enjoying the outdoor space on an absolutely lovely day. (Spoke to a cool couple about living in Asheville &, ironically, this adorable, little family had recently also moved from FL!) I simply ADORE this slice-of-Asheville-life–park & you will, too❤

Best dog park in Asheville and the busiest which makes it great for my pups socialization skills. Large dog and small dog parks are separate but adjacent. Large dog area has lots of space and there are a few mud holes which the dogs love but some owners may not appreciate alas let them play. Shade and water is available but no grass, only mulch. An added perk, just off to the side, is access to the french broad river which my dog really enjoys getting in to cool off.
