Provisions Mercantile — West Asheville

The employees were super nice and fun to talk to, but never pushed anything on us like salespeople often do. The store has a wide variety of items and I grabbed a few gifts, in addition to a couple of things just for myself. This is a great store if you're not looking for anything in particular, but are in need of some good gift ideas!

Visited for the first time a couple of days ago and thoroughly enjoyed browsing through the merchandise. This place has something unique for everyone and I recommend you visit. Cool stuff and great service!

Well curated selection of clothing and accessories for men and women as well as fun snacks and teas and coffee. Super friendly staff!

This store is like Rose Apothecary on Schitt's Creek joined forces with a Williams-Sonoma and Mast General Store and then the whole endeavor was blessed by Dolly Parton patron saint of Appalachian woman led commerce. It is lovely, it is delightful, and you will find something(s) to take home. Want coffee, hand cream, children's playroom decor, a witty t-shirt for your hubby, grits, jam, and a skillet? Great! They have all of those things. My favorite product is the Atkinson's biscuit mix. You don't have to tell anyone you use a mix; it can be our secret. I have also ordered from the Provisions online store multiple times for gifts and they are always on point. Y'all, go get some awesome stuff. You'll adore this place.

I venture to Provisions anytime I need to find a gift or a treat for myself. They have something for anyone in your life. Their inviting atmosphere and cozy space keeps me visiting again and again.

Heather and Matt, the owners of Provisions are our new best friends. The couple exudes warmth, energy and an abundance of friendly smiles. My husband and I met them while they were sponsors of Chow Chow (a group and food event of like minded foodies) and we were immediately impressed with the knowledge and customer service Matt and Heather offered. It was a delight revamping our cookware and dreaming about the possibilities of feeding friends and family. We cannot wait to return to attend the stores wine tastings and of course Christmas shopping. Cheers Heather and Matt! You are the best!!!

Despite living not far away, this was my first visit. It's a great store. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful, there is a huge, diverse selection of items that make amazing gifts. The ambiance is also great. I will be back when I need gifts, for sure!

I don't really like to shop ever really but I like going places with my wife. I always look for a place to sit and read while she shops and this place had the best such area by far. They even had a coffee bar! So happy my wife looked for like an hour.

I cannot say enough great things about Provisons! My first stop for gifts, house wares, goods, and my favorite thing is how many local businesses they support and carry in their store! Always ahead of the game and I highly recommend you stop in and pet their adorable pooch!

My wife and I had the pleasure of stumbling in to Provisions Mercantile today while visiting Asheville, and what a great, well thought out store! We had the honor of speaking with the proprietor of this fine establishment for a few minutes while shopping and saying hello to the adorable shop dog, Beau! If you find yourself in Asheville I strongly recommend perusing this store and picking up a thing or two that you didn’t know you needed! Remember, alway shop local when you can!! A true 5 star find!!!

Visited the West Asheville store after shopping in the Biltmore Village store. Both stores have a large variety of merchandise at different price points, the Biltmore village store sells wine and other ready to eat or pop in the oven foodstuffs...the West Asheville store is larger. Both stores have a large variety of made in Asheville and surrounding areas merchandise as well as other unique items. Finished out my Christmas shopping...Staff was super helpful.. Great coffee, and pastry from French Broad Pantry who have amazing stuff. My new go to place for gifts.

Provisions made Mother's Day gifting SO easy. My mom and my two sisters (also mothers) are each a little different in personalities, but Provisions had the perfect gifts for each of them. For one sister, I got a cute t-shirt and candle for her home, for another I gave a comfy shirt and campfire cocktail kit for summer, and for Mom I gifted a beautiful candle that smells like the ocean (since our beach getaway is delayed) and a gorgeous tumbler. The gifts were a hit! Not only is the Provisions team thoughtful and easy to work with, they made pickup and online shopping a breeze, too. They really do have something for everyone and I'm excited about their new West Asheville shop!

First class service & awesome selection. I had been on the hunt for a specific bag all around Avl, and couldn’t find it.
I called Katie at Provisions and she directed me to their Biltmore Village location.

That’s when I met Kay and experienced the best service I’ve received in Avl…ever!

They didn’t have the bag style I wanted but Kay called several other boutiques I had not tried yet to help me out (who does that!?) but they didn’t have anything either.

So, Kay found the exact bag I had been looking for online (she found the exact one without me showing her🤯) and ordered it direct for me. She did all of this while navigating a busy store with lots of guests.

She is a legend! Seriously, I never write reviews but wow! I’m very grateful for the kindness and intentionality.

They even have beer and wine on tap to sip on while you shop or chill. I want to go back just to try that out!

They were so nice and your even welcomed into the store by a dog! Can't get any better. Lots of local boutique items to grab. Can be on the pricey side, but love the originality plus supporting a small business

Received a gift from Provisions from a sweet friend. It was packaged beautifully and each item was individually wrapped. It was like Christmas! If you are looking to brighten someone's day, I recommend going online and choosing a few great gifts items to have shipped.

I recently ordered a gift from Provisions Mercantile and was really impressed with the quality of the shipment. It included a personalized note and was wrapped super cute. Customized touches like that will keep me coming back to give them my business.
