Y'all know the drill, get here ASAP! Oh boy are these good donuts. The BEST I've ever had. Wonderful atmosphere and shop. So lovely to sit outside and enjoy some fresh, I mean FRESH, donuts and coffee. Made to order! It truly doesn't get better. How can you not be put in an excellent mood after visiting Hole in Asheville?! We love you all.

A M A Z I N G . Seriously best donuts I’ve had. Buttery and the perfect salty/sweet combo. Vanilla glaze was my favorite but you can’t go wrong with any of the flavors. Absolutely delicious. And such nice employees! We had a bit of a wait but it was fun to watch them make the donuts and 100% worth the wait. Wish they had a location in Charlotte!

The best donuts I have ever eaten. So delicious, fresh, friendly staff, good coffee and orange juice. The cinnamon sugar was great with sweet and savory, the day I came they had a paloma flavor and my goodness it was amazing. Second visit during our trip to Asheville (yes we came twice) the beignet was the special and it was really good too, but all of them were great.. toasted almond wasn't my favorite but I'm glad I tried it.

These donuts are made to order. But literally - you order and then they make them in front of you. They have a limited menu, but honestly this is brilliant.
We got the bakers half (7 donuts), 2 of every flavor except for the basil (which we got one of).
The almond sesame seed is savory and sweet and honestly way more delicious than we expected.
The cinnamon sugar isn't too cinnamon-y. Amazing.
The vanilla glazed is classic.
The basil wasn't my fav, but I am not super fond of basil.
These were the freshest donuts I've ever had and I would eat them every day if I could.

What a delicious and memorable experience.
From the heavenly smells when we turned on to Haywood Rd, the long line outside, no parking, and the actual no frills yet rustic aesthetic we knew it was going to be good.
Although there was a line the staff are super fast and it was a super quick wait.

Everyone on the crew seemed to be sincerely enjoying their work and the vibe was wonderful. The lady who rug up the order was super sincere and a hype woman for sure.

They had 4 options for flavors… we got them all.

Each one was a taste bud journey like Anton Ego flash back searching for something in the memory to compare the amazing flavor to but at least my memory kept coming up blank. I have never had a doughnut as good as the ones at Hole.

The simplicity of the way they have branded, created the physical space, and the straight forward approach to each order being made fresh right in front of you is amazing.

Do they look perfect no. But I personally feel that’s what makes each unique donut perfect.
They weren’t put through a mold to be a certain size or have a perfect consistency of glaze. They were made for taste and appearance became secondary. Which makes them Snowflakes of donuts. Each uniquely beautiful but the consistent was the slightly crunchy exterior with a soft and warm interior that wasn’t doughy, starchy, or think breading but a genius middle ground.

Thank you so much to the Hole Doughnuts staff and the founders for creating such a memorable time for the tastes buds but also the senses.

A must have when in Asheville. One of the best doughnuts you’ll ever eat. $18 for seven doughnuts , with flavors like cinnamon, glazed and powdered. Made fresh to order , don’t let the line scare you it’s worth the wait. 100/10!!!

Fresh, made to order donuts. Only 4 choices on the menu, but they execute them flawlessly. Coffee is roasted by a local roaster to compliment the donuts and it works!

Truly a fantastic experience!

You need to get a dozen or 1/2 dozen! Fresh, tasty, and delicious donuts. I love the dough, it’s got just a little of salt which makes these not feel too savory. We got all 4 flavors during our visit, and it was very hard to not eat the whole box! The staff were also friendly and energetic!

Absolutely the best donuts I've ever eaten. It is truly amazing to watch the staff preparing your order (made fresh while you watch). All the staff are friendly and helpful.

Glazed and Earl Gray are delicious... Truth is all 4 flavors are phenomenal. Service was extremely friendly, arts n crafts available for the kids while you wait. Doughnuts are made fresh right in front of you. Arrive early to avoid a line out the door :) Parking can be tight as well.

Hole Doughnuts is a must visit for anyone who enjoys sweets and comes within 50 miles AVL. They typically have 4 options, of which cinnamon sugar and vanilla glazed are the regulars, and all of them are absolute bangers. My wife and I don't typically gorge ourselves on any food, but we will kill a dozen of these in a heartbeat. The parking lot is small and the line can get long, but it moves at a good pace and there is parking in the area plus a sidewalk to get there easily enough and it is well worth the walk!
While you are waiting, the staff and music help to give the place a fun vibe while you wait for your pieces of heaven to be finished. Seriously - this place is amazing.

Adorable little donut shop with absolutely amazing donuts. Every chew revealed another layer of flavor. Our favorite ended up being the toasted sesame flavor but every flavor we had was amazing!!! I wish they had had some kind if coffee syrup or flavoring, the coffee was very simple. Highly recommend stopping here!!!

The texture of the best beignet I’ve ever had. Made to order. Hot sweet delicious. Certainly among the best donuts I’ve ever eaten and served by the most friendly folks I found in Asheville.

Most importantly- order ahead!! These are some of the most delectable doughnuts available anywhere. Preparation is top notch. Hole is a quality and service focused restaurant. Their doughnuts are well-made with good ingredients.

As far as atmosphere - Their old food truck is outside., that is cool. Inside seating is basic and busy - it is fine but their popularity makes it a place I wouldn’t hang out in. If weather is nice - the outside is pleasant.

The hype for this place is warranted. I read that it was rated #2 in the country for the best donuts, but I honestly don't know how it's not #1.

The donuts: Freshly made right in front of you. They have 4 flavor options (1 of which changes every week), and they do them exceptionally well. Absolutely delicious, just melts in your mouth.

The staff: Wonderful, wonderful people. You can watch the full process of them making the donuts, which was fun. From the flour and dough to the frying and the toppings. The lady at the register was so kind and warm. She talked to the customers waiting inside, and was so friendly. Truly a homey and community atmosphere.

The restrooms: A single unisex bathroom, but clean and well stocked.

The parking: They have a small parking lot, so we parked on a side street in front of residential homes. Everyone else did the same.

The lines: Expect a bit of a wait. This is a popular place, for good reason. We got here on a Sunday morning, and waited maybe 15 or 20 minutes for our donuts. It was absolutely worth the wait.

There’s a reason this cute spot has 4.9 stars! I’d give it 10 if i could! The donuts are so fresh , they make them to order and the smell when you walk in … incredible. But the obvious star of the show is their amazing donuts! I recommend the glaze and powdered! Loved the staff and the atmosphere!

What a neat and wonderful experience, you will probably have to wait but look at that as a positive instead of a negative. The doughnuts are made to order and I promise well worth the wait! They had four flavors when we visited and I tried three of the four. The cinnamon sugar is absolutely amazing, these are really some of the best doughnuts I have ever had. You also get to watch as they cut out, cook and glaze them, it was a neat experience.

The freshest donuts!!! Seeing them being prepared right in front of you and the you immediately get them while it’s still warm 🤤. Every flavor was delicious but surprisingly my favorite was the toasted sesame almond. Even my kids enjoyed all of them.

We got there when they opened at 8a and within less than a minute, there was a line.

Great first stop in Asheville.

The sesame cinnamon sugar donut is the biggest surprise I've had for breakfast. I love sesame bagels and enjoy cinnamon sugar breads and magically they came together for perfection.
