Wandered in with some friends having never heard of this store before, and I immediately fell in love. So many unique items! Their line of clothing is awesome, but they also have tons of reworked vintage pieces. I’m not usually a fan of vintage clothing but the way they rework them is fantastic. It was so cool to hear the sewing machines going downstairs as we shopped.

I anticipated a steep price tag on everything but was blown away that the clothing was half the price I was expecting. I bought a super cool cropped hoodie with their logo and an original design, and will be back in soon to buy Christmas gifts (and more for myself…)

The experience of walking into Drift makes you smile! The place is styled and curated with great detail to create their own unique vibe. The service is cheerful and helpful led by an amazing female team! 💜 The up cycled hand crafted apparel is original in design and style and made with so much intention adding great value! There is something for all ages in the store that will add a pop of fun into your wardrobe!

Drift is my favorite store in downtown Portsmouth. The staff are so friendly and their clothing and accessories are so stylish and cool. I am always getting comments when I’m out in my Drift sweatshirt! Above all, the best part about shopping at Drift is knowing that I am making environmentally smart purchases.

Drift is foremost an incredibly supportive community of artists, visionaries, and organizers that is crucial to maintaining the character of Portsmouth through its many changes. And the store is really cool too.

Drift is a wonderful asset to our community in Portsmouth. Their clothing is not only upcycled and unique but their other accessories and products are beautifully curated, and often local or made sustainabley . Drifts backyard series has become an iconic summer venture for people of all ages on Friday nights. An opportunity for folks to enjoy local music and connect with community. Drift is an incredible vibrant positive force in our community and Emily Stearns is an inspiration to young female entrepreneurs everywhere!

If all stores were like this one, I’d enjoy shopping a whole lot more! Relaxed, calm, great flow and energy - and a commitment to sustainability to boot. It also had the ability to keep delivering surprises, something completely rare in a store. Every time I turned my head, I saw something I wasn’t expecting to see. Clever, creative curation. Can’t wait to go back.

The current Drift building was Celia Thaxters first home! It is wonderful that an incredible female writer began her life here and now a wonderful female owned and operated business has made its home here on Daniel St. Carrying on the legacy .
