Pickwick's is truly a gem! Treasures of every type imaginable adorn the shelves, baskets and imaginative displays. From hard to find books to vintage themed toys there are a myriad of gifts to discover. The staff is lovely, helpful and a joy to work with. You may order over the phone and pickup items if you wish in addition to exploring the shop. If you are looking for a magical experience with a lovely atmosphere, you must visit Pickwick's in Portsmouth, NH.

Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their perfumes. Had great recommendations and had a true passion for the store. Refreshing to see. Very unique spot. Will definitely be back on my next trip to the area

Very nice place. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about perfume, of which they have a large selection. I know nothing about perfume but they were able to help me pick something I liked.

We were in Portsmouth for a long weekend for an event, and we ended up visiting this store 3 times during our stay. It's a true gem! Definitely not your average "gift store," even though they had some pretty cool Harry Potter stuff. If you're at all interested in niche perfumes and colognes, you gotta check it out. My husband and I each ended up with a unique perfume after speaking with the guy and testing ENDLESS samples. Both employees were super kind and generous, and they had infinite knowledge of perfumes and colognes and scents. We will definitely be back!

This store is a hidden treasure of Portsmouth. Almost like a museum. You can spend hours and still discover all kinds of mysteriously object. I had a great time with my daughter exploring the store. The price is reasonable.
The ‘Chief curator’ (the lady who works there in a unique costume ) was super knowledgeable and helpful.
We are very excited to try of our new aromatherapy treats. I am looking forward to taste the Red currant jam for breakfast tomorrow morning.

Very cute little shop with an eclectic mix of goods. There are toys and books and some old fashion candies as well as candles and some clothes.
They have a large selection of fragrances and a knowledgeable sales staff who are very helpful and dressed n period costume.
We have gone into Pickwick’s in each of our visits to Portsmouth and have found it pleasant each time.

Great staff that goes above and beyond! Loved the selection of all the goods, colognes and perfumes inside. Also went to their sister store Fezziwigs for high tea. However, I wanted to get a teapot from Fezziwigs before I returned home and the store was closed. They went to the store so I could purchase it before I left. So thankful for these lovely people! Will definitely return whenever I’m in town. Thank you Matthew for all of your help!

Super cool place with so much to see & smell. The perfume counter is amazing, an absolute must-see! The gentleman behind the counter spent ages with me trying different scents to find things I loved. He was great at listening to the random things I like & selecting scents that fit my oddly vague yet specific taste. It was a really lovely and unexpectedly personal experience. After YEARS of searching I have 2 new perfumes that I love and will be wearing either one daily. I am SO happy I stopped in here.

This was absolutely my favorite store to shop in such amazing smells cute little trinkets and books. Such a large selection of beauty products. We started talking about doing wax seals and they have everything you need to start your journey and the period staff make this place a great stop on your journey.

Such a quaint shop. It's how I imagine a mercantile would have been back when Portsmouth was a new city. The people working there are pleasant, knowledgeable, and interesting to chat with. Very personable. Just a wonderful store. Very relaxed atmosphere. Not the chaotic hurried mess of more modern retail stores.

The staff, the staff, the staff...They are the ones that make this shop worth going to. They are bright, bubbly, and extremely helpful when you have questions. They also have a specialized collections of fragrances and perfumes. Most of which is from overseas.

Awesome store with quality gifts at different price points and helpful but not smothering staff. Unique collections of candles and lotion brands and particularly great selection of fragrances etc for men. Bought some candles and feel instantly transported back to Portsmouth when I burn them. Wish I’d bought a flannel shirt!

The shop clerk was so fantastic and took the time to engage with us and answer my friend's questions. Even with other customers in the store, she never made us feel rushed and fully immersed herself in helping us find the perfect scents with perfumes/colognes.. and we tested a LOT.

Such an amazing place to purchase unique items. Staff are so friendly and dress in the most amazing period clothing of an era long gone. Visit Portsmouth NH and dabble in the arts of Harry Potter and don't forget to visit deadwicks ethereal store as well.

Pickwick's was so much fun to visit while in New Hampshire. Not only is the atmosphere welcoming but the staff were so helpful! After visiting I made an order online and the staff helped me track the package when it was lost in shipping, and kept me updated anytime they got new information. Their other store Deadwick's was also so cool and I learned so much!

Go to place for little things a bit pricy but unique

This shop is awesome! The woman working was super friendly and helpful and was very knowledgeable of the merchandise. Prices are great too. Do yourself a favor and stop in!
