It’s an excellent store! The owners are such gems: kind, warm, and very helpful! I love the selection of toys and books. My daughters have also loved getting to meet authors during their events.

A fixture of downtown Portsmouth! Small, but a nice place to visit. I visit from time to time to buy gifts for the kids. Store leans towards educational toys and items, but, all of good quality brand names and local manufacturers. Friendly, engaging staff.

What a lovely shop! It is inviting and perfectly appointed. I came back in the same day to get the books I had talked myself out of on my first trip. The staff was very friendly and i felt at home even when I was really 1,700 miles from home. I wish them a long and storied life in helping children become who they’re going to be.

From the moment I walked in this store, I was in love! It was recommended to me by a colleague, and it quickly became one of my favorite toy stores I’ve been in!

I noticed that the toys were all thoughtfully chosen because they were developmentally appropriate and well-made. I also noticed the store was organized by different teachable categories for young learners and explorers! As a teacher for 10 years and counting, I was overly impressed with their selection!

The experience at the store was also memorable. Throughout my experience, the owners were very attentive and helpful. Jody, one of the store owners (I think!?) carefully took the time to tell me about some books that she felt fit what I might be looking for and recommended some self published titles that are worth sharing! We will definitely be back in! Thank you for the experience! My classroom will benefit from our new books! Did I mention they have a discount on books for educators!? 20%!!! This place is a hidden( or maybe not so hidden) gem

This store is amazing! The setup of the store is perfect and has ample space for you and a child. The staff is friendly and gift wrapping is free. They do a great job with the gift wrapping and provide ribbons on the wrap. You will be able to find gifts here that are not easily found on common websites giving you a fighting chance in this world of duplicate gift giving.

Just got off the phone with Jody and I am so super impressed!! I, of course, found the same item I was inquiring about on amazon but told her I wanted to shop locally. Not only did she take the time to look up the item I was looking for but she is going to look into special ordering it in time for Christmas. Knowledgeable, friendly, and genuine. This is true of all of my previous experiences with this store. Tops! Absolutely recommend you give this store your business.

The friendliness of the staff is the selling point of this toy shop. G.Willikers is full of unique merchandise and books, but a favorite of my families is the play area in the back. It's a good spot to take a brief, downtown Portsmouth break. The walls are decorated with the works of local artists, giving something extra to enjoy while the kids play or peruse the toys..

Every time we're in Portsmouth we make it a point to stop in. They have a great selection of toys, books and really, all things for children. And they charge a fair price for everything. They even turned us onto a great local kids book author and his Mother Bruce book.

I can't think of anything they don't do well.

Love Love Love this place! My granddaughter calls it the Baby Store because they sell baby dolls! Bob, Debbie, and Jody welcome the children with open arms and invite them to 'play.' It's a regular stop for my grandkids and me whenever I'm in Portsmouth!

How much fun is it to go toy shopping? I have to admit I go by myself and scope out new and exciting toys for my grandchildren (I used to do this for my own children) Store employees and owners are always willing to suggest the coolest, latest and most amazing toys which is a great help when not quite sure what you think your grandchildren will love.

What a fun store with lovely books by local authors. The shop keepers were super friendly and helpful too! Will come again if back this way.

I love G. Willikers! They have a great selection of unique, high quality kids toys and books. I always seem to rush in last minute to get a gift for our friends kids, and the staff there is so helpful and friendly - suggesting age-appropriate gifts, wrapping them up beautifully, and even delivering them curbside if I call ahead! You can't beat that!

Great little toy store near the square. Beautiful, quality toys and a great, family run staff. Generous and community oriented too. We love it.
