Awesome, awesome experience! Super cheap cigars/drinks, great setup, and really chill/kind workers. Would definitely recommend and will return it back in the area. P.S., give Luke the bartender makes some good drinks and deserves a raise!

Excellent whiskey and cigar bar in downtown Portsmouth, NH. Great whiskey and scotch selection. Bartender was great; attentive and friendly. If you’re looking for a couple pours after dinner, this is the place.

I’d go back for sure.

The cigar choices in the lounge are limited, but the store above is well stocked.

What amazing spot to chill at. Louis was a great host that took really good care of our group. He gave great suggestions. The drinks were good and the cigars were on point. The ambiance was nice and comfortable. If you are looking for a nice place to go late night this is it!

The best cigar lounge I've experienced. The service was prompt and excellent. There was ample and comfortable seating in a very unique underground setting that preserved its historical roots yet had all the modern touches of a first-rate cigar bar. The bar selection was extensive and the ventilation system was unbelievably efficient and unlike any we've seen.
An overall great experience we'll return to again and again when visiting the area.

Relaxed atmosphere, jazz and 60s classics for music, wonderful staff helps with cigar and drink pairings. Veteran and beginner smokers are both welcome. Also the cleanest and nicest restroom I've ever seen for any bar/restaurant. If you're looking for a different vibe for your night out, then I highly suggest paying a visit.

Great cigar lounge. Be sure to ask for Paulie and get yourself an old fashioned.

Walked around Portsmouth saw the place and wanted to try it out. We walked in and we're seated right away ordered drinks and cigars. Knowing little about the industry we had a waiter sit with us and explain each cigar to us within our price range. His recommendations we're perfect. Great service great servers.

One of the best bars in Portsmouth! Excellent service, fine cigars, cocktails and craft beer. I love the atmosphere, has a speak easy bar kind of vibe. It’s also well ventilated, so you never feel like your getting smoked out.

Great vibes and drink selections. Stopped in for a night cap and to catch some football. Didn't have a cigar but didn't need to, the wonderful smell of cigar smoke filled the air and added to the ambiance. 5/5 will be back next time I'm in Portsmouth

Fast service, and the person at the counter actually knows what he's talking about. You'll find that if you like smoking, and good alchohol, this is definitely the best place in Portsmouth for it. I was out walking the strip and decided to go to the cigar bar. I saw the front, but I entered through the back. I went downstairs and I found a very relaxed bar, relaxed atmosphere, and cigars and a lot of alcohol. Definitely would recommend coming here, and I will definitely be coming back again whenever I want to drink and smoke.

The Slow Burn Lounge is an excellent getaway from the busy day and dreary atmosphere of today's cities. The speakeasy entrance and basement locale immediately make you forget what's going on in your life. The bar has hints of blue and faint lighting to accompany and exquisitely decorated wood bar and the high back chairs for booths provide a level of privacy while not shutting you out. The members lounge is comfortable and you don't feel like you're being neglected by the bartenders, and the TV allows you to watch sports or listen to music and create your own environment. As with any location you are paying for a certain atmosphere and here you get the smoke, the smell of old America in Old Fashions, Manhattans, or even a solid pour from the tap. Priced reasonably with the Cigar shop available upstairs with a wide variety and range of options, the Lounge is a great escape the first draw of a fresh cut stick.

Great place to hang. Clientele is diverse which is rare but appreciated in a cigar joint. Bartenders are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Fabulous bourbon and whiskey selection. Good pours. Everything is great but PLEASE switch up the playlist. If I heard anymore Madonna, Richard Marx and Billy Joel songs I was going to impale myself.

My first visit here - just terrific. Low lighting makes a cozy intimate environment out of a very large space, divided into three main sections. The lounge has leather banquettes with tables and huge silver ashtrays. The long bar has seating for at least two dozen guests, and the mysterious "members" room way in the back has wooden cubbies and private tables for groups or two or three. Service was superb on our visit, good list of cigars and spirits. Low key unpretentious atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Great atmosphere, looks like the speakeasies of the 20's. The GM Tom is obviously very knowledgeable and was incredibly helpful. He quickly paired the right cigar to our drinks of choice and took some time to hang out with us when he had time to spare. .I would definitely recommend this bar and we will be back again. The separate tabacco shop upstairs was a breath of fresh air when the clerk asked us direct questions and sent me away with exactly want I wanted. Both the shop and bar down below left us satisfied and educated with a smile and a laugh.

Great bar/lounge. It has a neat speakeasy vibe to it, seats at the bar, armchairs, couches, tables, you name it. The staff was great, they had plenty of good suggestions for both cigars and drinks. Definitely a bar you can hang out at for a few hours.
