Every single thing about this restaurant was incredible and spot on. The food was insanely amazing, tasty, full of flavor, and wonderful presentation. Our server Peyton was knowledgeable, attentive, and just amazing - she was one of the big reasons our experience was so great. And then the ambiance of the place was cozy, classy, and just a vibe. My fiance and I love this place and will definitely be back!!

This was our second time dining at Sauvage and I cannot wait to come back. Kyle provides excellent service and recommendations - he is extremely knowledgeable about the dishes. The chef was incredibly accommodating and made a last-minute substitution for us. We've dined at some of the best restaurants in LA, but honestly this was one of my favorite culinary experiences ever. Thank you Sauvage for providing an unforgettable birthday dinner!!

My partner and I went to Sauvage for New Year’s Eve and couldn’t recommend it more. The whole experience was amazing and the service was top notch. If you want to treat your party to a nice dinner in Steamboat look no further.

My wife and I dined at Sauvage for a night out without our kids on a recent visit to Steamboat. We arrived for our 7pm reservation, and were surprised to find the restaurant nearly empty. We started with Seattle Fog and Rhubarb Daiquiri cocktails, both of which were excellent. To start our meal, we elected to supplement the foie gras torchon, which was excellent. The meal then progressed through the starters- chicken fried scallops and halibut- before continuing to the two savory chicken and beef courses. We finished with a multifaceted strawberry dessert. All the courses were impeccable, with a level of preparation and presentation that was unexpected and of the highest quality, especially at the price point. The wine menu was currently under revamp, but we were able to find a moderately priced French red that suited the meal nicely. This place is a must if you’d like a fine dining experience while in Steamboat

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve, 5-course meal with perfectly-sized portions to fully experience each dish without being overwhelmed. Food was beautifully presented and described by our server and our cocktails/mocktails creatively concocted by Mixologist Kyle. We'll be back soon!

Food price / quality rating 10. The atmosphere is Contemporary Chic. When you walk into this restaurant you immediately know that you are in for an unforgettable dining experience. The well chosen decor, includes a beautiful black and white granite bar. The dining area (seats about 50) and bar area (seats about 15) and patio area (seats about 16) have their own distinct personalities but harmonize and blend seamlessly. We were lucky enough to find this place while on vacation, and even luckier to arrive during Happy Hour where we were offered a varied list of small plate meals. We ordered the Phyllo Baked Cheese, Meatballs, Pork and Cocoa Sandwich, and Lamb Ribs. All of them were prepared properly with premium ingredients, and presented beautifully and artistically through use of color and texture of a wide array of garnishes. To describe all of the nuances associated with each dish would require 100 words a piece. We sat at the bar where Kyle entertained us and made us feel welcome. His mixology skills and knowledge of the town made our visit very enjoyable. The crowning glory for our repast was a Palisade Peach Souffle with a cup of top shelf coffee by local company "Big Iron Roasters". We've eaten every meal for the last 12 days at restaurants, and this place is by far the best on all counts - quality, flavors, preparation, presentation, value, and service. Kudos and thanks to Chef Kasper and his entire crew for making our best vacation food memory!

See pics below: On a par with LA Michelin star experience like Citrin, Melisse.

Six course, satisfying, and reasonably priced tasting menu, deserving of a Michelin Star, exceeded expectations, must say little fresh baked breads, one for most courses were unusual, absolutely wonderful, perfection, in fact most all the courses were at or near perfection: lobster, scallop, capon, steak, other delicious epicurean surprises... beautiful to the eye, fresh, creative and and an overall harmonious culinary experience.

All aspects of this sophisticated, thoughtfully appointed restaurant (pics) are beautiful but unlike LA attire was tourist/western casual or dressy as you wish.

Our server Kyle was knowledgeable and provided friendly, impeccable service.

The owner Victoria ❤ is an amazing, international woman, herself an executive chef, who warmly welcomes you if you speak/meet her as if you are her only guest.

Sauvage itself is worth a beautiful (dry) drive into Steamboat from Denver, do an overnight trip, they have good breakfast places as well, great shops.

We will be back to Steamboat...mainly to dine at Sauvage!

I took my wife here for our anniversary not knowing what to expect. To our surprise the owner Victoria was our server. This in itself was a unique and pleasant experience. She went above and beyond to take care of us. The drinks she recommended as well as the food was beyond all expectations. We will definitely be returning to Sauvage again.

An amazing dining experience! We did the 3 course tasting menu and each dish as outstanding. Not only was it great food, the restaurant itself is beautiful. And our waiter…. Denny! He was such a gem, absolutely made the experience. I’ve been coming to Steamboat for many years and this is hands down my #1 spot in town. Go, you won’t regret it.

Ridiculously good - we did the 6 course tasting that included bread service. Bread was absolutely amazing - 4 different kinds and included their own infused oil and truffle butter. Staff was knowledgeable and attentive. And the restaurant itself was beautiful. Enjoyed all the courses - my husband and I have done several chefs tastings and this was one of our favorite experiences.

Great culinary experience rather than traditional fine dining. If you want to try something you haven’t before this is the place to go. I would recommend the 3 course instead of the 6 course. The corn soup was good and the popcorn added texture. The beef is my favorite out of the protein. The soufflé was my favorite desert with peaches on the bottom. The macaroons on the birthday cake were the best I’ve ever had! The Foie gras is great if you want to try something very French! Be adventurous with your tastebuds at sauvage!

The best fine-dining restaurant in Steamboat Springs! What a lovely experience I had, the interior space is designed by the owner chef - Victoria, contemporary and mountain comfortable; the food, drinks and dessert were the best I had in a long while, fresh and flavorful; plus the warm and friendly staff and service, thank you for the unforgettable treat! A must visit and revisit in town.

Fine dining without being stuffy. My husband and I had the three course tasting menu. All were beautiful presented and freshest ingredients. The melon salad was so refreshing and flavorful. My husband had the Colorado beef with potatoes that was delicious. Love the crispy salmon skin with salmon roe on top of the salmon fillet. The fish could use more seasoning.
Desserts were top notched. The soufflé was cooked perfectly airy with summery flavor of peach. The chocolate was shaped in a hazelnut with crunchy shelf and cream inside. Gorgeous petit fours to take home.
Our server, Denny was warm and professional. Great wine list.
What a wonderful dining experience!

Don't miss this exciting and fulfilling dining indulgence.... and don't let the staff or kitchen rush your experience. Great ambiance. Attentive staff. Wonderful menu. While some of the team is still learning and training, the kitchen was knocking each course out of the park... just a tad rushed. But once we asked them to slow down, we could relax and enjoy each course as it was meant to be... with respect, good wine, and great company. Definitely will be back as this team hits its full stride.

We had an absolutely excellent meal (tasting menu) at Sauvage. If you are looking for a Michelin-style meal that delivers, this is a great option. The cocktails were also fantastic! The Sauvage Old-Fashioned was one of the best I’ve ever had.

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of dining at Sauvage, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance whisked me away into a world of elegance and comfort. The decor, a harmonious blend of modern chic and rustic charm, set the stage for an extraordinary evening.

The menu, a masterpiece of culinary creativity, offered an array of dishes that tantalized our taste buds.

The service at Sauvage deserves a special mention. Our server was an handsome young man named Jack. Attentive, knowledgeable, and exceedingly polite, the staff made us feel welcomed and valued. Their recommendations were spot on, and their timing impeccable.

In conclusion, Sauvage is not just a restaurant; it's an experience - one that delights all senses and leaves you longing for more. It's a gem in the culinary world, and I can't recommend it enough. Whether it's for a special occasion or just a night out, Sauvage promises an evening you won't soon forget.

Sauvage is a new French cafe offering fine dining along Yampa. My wife and I eat regularly at all the best restaurants in Steamboat, and attended the opening night at Sauvage. Our experience was outstanding from start to finish. We had the three course meal with a foie gras dish added between the first and second course. All the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented, with the grilled octopus my favorite. Sauvage is a fabulous addition to the Steamboat restaurant scene.

OK - this is French fine dining in a BEAUTIFUL mountain town. Reservations needed and it is usually a tasting menu - prix fix for 6 course dinner. Well, at first the portions seem miniscule but by 3rd or 4th item, you start feeling sated. By the end of dessert, you realize the sizes were perfect (at least for non-gluttons) Anyway, the food - wow: some dishes sound familiar but they pack so much more flavor then described. This place is pricey but not exorbitant. Come here if you want a higher, more refined dining experience than most mountain town fare. I mean that it a good way.
