Aurum Food & Wine Steamboat

We ate here for an early dinner with our two kids while visiting Steamboat. We found the restaurant to be about half full on an early Wednesday evening, and were given a table next to the windows overlooking the river. My wife and I enjoyed a few cocktails from the menu, and elected to skip the happy hour food items to start with arctic char tartare and Korean fried chicken. While both were good, we found the tartare to have a lot of filler (only about half fish). The chicken was very savory and had some gentle heat. We then shared the Corvina sea bass, which was perfectly prepared and had nice accompaniments from the corn, fava beans, and almonds. While the happy hour menu and small dishes offered good value, the mains seemed to be a bit more expensively priced. Our kids enjoyed their dishes off the kids menu and the service was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed watching the rafters float past during our meal!

Amazing service and food. Portions are perfect and they outdid themselves with my personal request for my girlfriend’s birthday! Lovely and would recommend to anyone wanting a nice dinner.

This is one of our top favorite venues in Steamboat Springs! We absolutely love this place. It has a beautiful outdoor patio by the Yampa River and is especially stunning in October. The staff is wonderful! We love working there!

A beautiful and delicious place to have dinner. The patio is gorgeous, with tons of open space overlooking the river and mountains. Plus they had a guy playing some inoffensive guitar music in the background.

The food was great. I loved the fried cauliflower and the mushroom ravioli. Plus their summer kale salad was amazing, especially the grilled peaches.

The one quirk is their ordering system with the patio, where we had to order everything at the front (a la a bar). You picked up the drinks there and you had to pay there as well. I understand that it cuts down on labor, but we did have to wait a while to check out. But it didn’t detract from the overall environment. I’d definitely go back again.

We went in for after dinner cocktails and dessert. The outdoor patio is right on the Yampa River and has a wonderful view, lots of tables and outdoor firepit. The restaurant is lovely. Upscale, trendy, environment. Perfect romantic date night! The service was good. Smaller portions but packed with flavor. Will go back for dinner for sure!

Wonderful staff, good food, great service, comfortable and classy bar area, friendly and cozy atmosphere, plus nostalgic views of night skiing on Howelsen! A Steamboat classic. Thanks for a great evening!

Everything about our experience at Aurum was amazing. The outdoor patio was lovely sitting with a view of the river. The Mezcal Mule and Aperol Spritz were well made and were not expensive at all during happy hour (deals on food and drinks are amazing). We topped our time off with the happy hour nachos and burgers. They were easily some of the better nachos and burgers we’ve had. Aurum was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a while!

My daughter and I ate at Aurum in Steamboat for Thanksgiving and everything about our experience was completely epic. The food was traditional yet relevant and supremely delicious. Our server, Amanda was so fun and engaging. We learned so much about Aurum from her and she was super helpful with our wine choice. Aurum is so fortunate to have her.

Food was so yummy!! Great vegan and gluten free options. Highly recommend the crispy curry cauliflower! Also can’t beat the scenery! Beautiful riverside spot with great outdoor space & large fire pit. The indoor area was really cool too:-)

Great food, great riverside atmosphere, great service. Worth a stop.

Dogs are allowed in the outdoor grassy area, which is first-come, first-served with walkup bar service.

Would love to come back and snag an inside table for a nice date night vibe.

Delightful late afternoon dining experience. Sat outdoors by river under shade screen. The tacos and nachos the meat of tender with generous portions. The curry califlower was a revelation. One of the best dishes we've enjoyed in ages.

Came here for our anniversary dinner (with kids). We sat on the patio with live music. Super awesome view. Our waitress was great, super awesome service. The food was great, maybe a bit on the pricey side compared to other comparable restaurants, but the service, live music, and the view made up for it.

Awesome experience! Food, service and view were point on! Bison ossobuco and filet mignon were cooked to perfection. Rob our server was great! Our table was by the window overlooking the Yampa.

Absolutely fabulous experience!! Great seating, no matter if you are inside or outside. The dishes are well prepared and extremely tasty. Save room for the dessert! My favorite: the flourless brownie sundae... Heaven!

Amazing views and diverse flavors highlight a unique dining experience in Steamboat Springs. Highly recommended the cauliflower appetizer and the filet. Make Aurum a stop on your list if you're in town.

I went by myself on a work trip and sat at the bar. Enjoyed a nice glass of red wine, and old fashioned, and a Caesar salad with shrimp. Really lovely bar area and cozy atmosphere.

Great location with beautiful view of the river and ski jumping hill. Went there during happy hour. Food and drinks were delicious and service was excellent. Enjoyed every bit of it there.

Very quick service considering it's happy hour. Got to sit right by the fire. Airport Street tacos are stuffed full, the pork is moist but I did think it wasn't that much flavor.

This restaurant provided an exceptional experience, even amidst covid. The outdoor dining was great: string lights, fire pit, heat lamps, surrounded by yellow aspen trees...to top it off, the service was great!!

Always amazing! Always interesting menu. Waitstaff excellent. Cool ambiance! Great management!
