Besame Steamboat

So good. Spanish inspired meal with plenty of options for everyone. Most of the menu is gluten free which is amazing. 6 kids meals options with a gluten free option for kids too. The server came around a lot at all the right times during happy hour so we could order multiple rounds! She was well mannered and kind and politely taught me how to pronounce something on the menu. Atmosphere is artsy and rustic with Spanish influence. It can get loud once this place fills up so keep that in mind. We came right at opening and enjoyed happy hour discounts on tapas and drinks! All the food was delectable and cooked well. Food exactly as described and played beautifully. If you want a great experience topped off by delicious eats come here.

Happy Hour was so fun, discounts on everything: drinks, wine, beer and tapas! Latin fusion included bursts of flavor! Chef is very creative. Cocktails were inspired: Tequila After Dark was luscious, warmed us up! Short rib melted in your mouth, shrimp were enormous, cuban toast was grilled with spiced sauce.

Great food and service! We went during happy hour to try the tapas plates. All flavorful and delicious.

I’ve been twice now and have really enjoyed it both time! I’ve tried a fairly large amount of the tapas and had the paella both times I visited - everything has been incredibly delicious! Not a cheap bite to eat - definitely a good one!

Had a wonderful meal here last night. The octopus was unbelievable as was the choco taco! Very nice vibe & atmosphere with a friendly & attentive staff. Highly reccomend checking them out!

A must vist in Steamboat! The food was unique and perfectly prepared. The decor was well appointed and the atmosphere and vibe were on point.

We had a food allergy in our party and the staff was extremely accommodating to make certain that the ingredient was not in any dish we ordered. They even adjusted the recipes for our table so we could experience as much of the menu as possible. Quite unbelievable service.

Entre portions were very generous. You really must try the duck wings. The flavor was exceptional.

UPDATE: Even more amazing this year. Have a look at the custom Allergy menu they made me this year. WOW!!! Food and drinks were again beyond description.

Mussels in paella were very freshly cooked. It gets busy starting from early dinner time. Will come back again for a relaxing dinner after ski trip.

Went in for happy hour. 50% off drinks and 30% off tapas. We got five dishes for two of us and it was more than enough.

Octopus was by far our favorite. Perfectly cooked. Highly recommend the salmon ceviche as well. We also got Brussels, pork belly taco and the scallop. Everything was excellent, well cooked and well seasoned. The drinks were phenomenal as well.

Highly recommend the entire experience. Our server Jeff was amazing. Personable and knowledgeable.

Get there early for happy hour as it fills up quick! We got there 10 minutes or so after open.

New favorite spot in steamboat! Best happy hour in town!!

So, while waiting for our reservation in downtown Steamboat ,we stopped and had a couple of drinks and a tapas. It was a great atmosphere ,and a friendly staff. The two young ladies behind the bar were attentive, friendly, and made a good drink!! The cocktails are a little bit pricey, but they do have a happy hour!!

Vibey little spot right in the middle of the action on Lincoln. Accommodated my dairy allergy. The patatas bravas what is the highlight of the menu for me. it indulged my mayo addiction! My co-diner enjoyed the Octopus. Dined at this location at the recommendation of a Denver foodie’s facebook group and felt it was ok! Would come back just for potatoes covered in Mayo!! :)

Cold:
Atun: 7/10
Salmon ceciche: 6/10
Olives: 7/10

Hot:
Soup dumplings 2/10 - I love soup dumplings and these were a let down. The dough was thick and they were not soupy at all. Save your money and skip these.
Octopus: 6/10: these were actually ok - I am not a huge octopus fan so take my rating with a some skepticism. I thought they were flavorful but I couldn't get past the tentacles.
Chicken tinga flaunts: 9/10 - these were delicious and come with 2 flaunts. They were a bit large. I feel like they could make them smaller and put 4 on the plate.
Bruselas: 8/10 - if you love Brussel Sprouts these are for you.
Short rib: 8/10 - this was very tender and saucy. A must try. It is not very spicy either which was good for me.

Drinks:
Besemé gin and tonic 8.5/10 - best drink on the menu. Super smooth to drink the Rosemary syrup and juniper berries were really great in this drink
MOJITO - CLASSIC 3/10 - this tasted nothing like a mojito. Don't expect a classic flavor I'd ordering.
DE LA JOYA 7/10 - this was another good drink the sour cherry jam really made this drink.
THE TIPSY CARROT 5/10 - I had high hopes for this drink and it disappointed me. I was really hoping for that carrot juice to be forward and it was not.

Dulces:
Choco taco: 9/10 : omg this was great. The choco taco the waffle cone shell is filled with a chocolate mousse, caramel chantilly cream, guajillo meringue, crispearls, cocoa nibs. The dulce de leche gelato is served on the side and it was amazing. I was a huge fan. I smashed it up and served each bite with some gelato.
Tres leches: 2/10 - horrible. Take this off the menu. It was gritty and not desirable flavor. The mango ice cream was the only reason I gave this 2 starts. The mango icecream tasted more like a sorbet.
Pot de creme: 5/10 - the coffee in this dish really came through. I know pop rock's sounds weird but it really made this desert.

Probably one of my favorite restaurants in Steamboat. Tapas are great, especially Bravas, Croquetas and the Octopus (Pulpo). The paella was great for entree, super good flavor with the mussels tasting like sea! It's pretty filling. We did 4 tapas and the paella between 2 people and it was the perfect amount of food!

Will definitely come back when in Steamboat!

Excellent Latin inspired restaurant in the heart of Steamboat. Delicious foods with unique flavors and knowledgeable staff that helped direct us to the best vegetarian/vegan options on the menu. Ordered drinks (great cocktails!) and a few tapas including the shishito peppers, the patatas bravas and the sweet plantains, all of which were super yummy. For entree ordered the vegetable paella to share, which was delicious and filling. Really enjoyed our time here, in addition to the great food and drinks the restaurant has a nice vibe and decor.

Really recommended this place for tapas food. All dishes we ordered is amazing. I surprise that how good are they cooking this kind of food very good in the mountain city. Reservation is also really recommended. it could be full. nice place and decoration. there are some arts painting on the wall. server and other staff are great. we ordered Paella, chicharone, mussel and prawn garlic. it’s amazing. would come back.

There are no words. The food is a masterpiece. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Every single bite of every singly thing we ate was better than the last.

We enjoyed our 3rd awesome visit at Besame. The staff and atmosphere are always great. The food experience is one of my favorites in Colorado and makes the Steamboat visit worth it for this alone. This time we enjoyed Besame the two of us, but last time it was great with a big group.

We stuck with tapas and drinks only. The flavors in all the tapas we tried were amazing. Every dish is layered in different flavors and you can tell a lot of time, creativity, and quality ingredients go into each tapas. They do come with a price tag, but they have a happy hour until 5:30pm where the tapas are 30% off. The chef has incorporated some Asian style tapas that were unexpected. The Thai meatballs was one of our favorites.

This place is a local gem! We had the octopus and lamb belly, the Spanish influence is super refreshing for a mountain town. The head chef JC came to our table to check on us, and what an awesome guy and added to our experience! Highly recommend

I really love this place! So many restaurants have scaled back their Happy Hour options, but this is probably the best in town. Really tasty and interesting food options, and some awesome specialty cocktails. Servers (as well as bartenders) are friendly and knowledgeable. This is a place you can't miss when you're in Steamboat!
