Sky Valley Chateau

As a photographer, this was an amazing location for a wedding. I had so much fun spending the day with a wonderful family and capturing photos filled with beautiful fall colors. There were three floors and so many bedrooms that I lost count and outside had plenty of space for a ceremony and reception activities. Just a 3-minute drive back up the hill are a few overlooks that are definitely worth getting pictures of.

There aren't enough stars to rate this stay. We held our wedding at SVC in July 2023 and it was absolutely amazing. The house transforms into a magical wedding venue with a few rentals/personal touches and couldn't have been more beautiful for our big day. The newly renovated kitchen downstairs was perfect for our caterers to use as well as our own needs during our stay. The giant hot tub was a hit with our guests. And David and Erica are really passionate about hosting and went above and beyond in every way for us. When we were in Steamboat six months before the wedding, David gave us a tour of the house when they had an open day between renters. And then, go figure, we had EVERYTHING set up outside on our wedding day and a pop up thunderstorm came through (don't worry.. we got it all covered!). In addition to loaning us tarps to cover our fully decorated arch, we looked out the window after the storm passed and Erica was out there wiping off our benches and helping us get back on track. We truly can't say enough nice things about this place and its wonderful hosts. This place deserves 10 stars and will always be very special to us. Reunion in a few years! This 10-room chalet sleeps many. (See website) We stayed 4 nights as part of a wedding party. It was perfect accommodations featuring a pro kitchen and an additional entertaining kitchen. Both areas had nice size ice makers. Pool and Foosball tables, 85in. tv in living room area, and a hot tub for 16! Beautiful setting in Steamboat Springs, CO

We enjoyed a beautiful winter stay at this gorgeous chateau! Outside is a true winter wonderland while inside is a cozy retreat. Accommodations are first class. Gorgeous kitchen with Viking appliances, super comfortable bedrooms and multiple warm and inviting seating areas to kick back, relax and take in the views out of the giant picture windows. Owners were so welcoming and kind. We can’t say enough good things! We will definitely be back!

I don't know where to begin! Sky Valley Chateu is absolutely stunning. The property is gorgeous, the lodge is rustic and charming. David was so helpful and kind. I can't think of a better place to have my intimate wedding, it was truly privilege. I will never forget the wonderful days I spent with my family and friends here, thank you!

Our family of 24 had a family reunion here August 2021 and everything was absolutely fabulous! Our host David was very friendly and always available when needed. It's clear he loves the area and his lodge. Everything was wonderful, from the location (beautiful aspen and pine forest), proximity to town and hiking, amenities (HUGE hot tub was a definite hit, well stocked newly upgraded kitchen) cleanliness, and ability to comfortably house 24 people ages from 12-82. Great experience for everyone - highly recommend!

Stunning place with plenty of room for a large group. Surrounded by aspen trees, birds, and chipmunks -- it is a nice retreat. Grocery and restaurants are a quick drive away. The Aspen arch out back is beautiful for photos.

Really a nice place with all the features needed to host an event. DIY or external caterers have the space needed to get it done. Lots of fridge space and nice ice machines for drinks. Not as far out of town as it seems... Quick 6 miles up rt 40.

Diane was awesome! I didn't realize that when I booked, I had booked a B&B! It was such a nice surprise. Diane (the owner) was so nice, even when we arrived pretty late. This place has so much character and history it made our stay very enjoyable. Our room was clean, cozy and overall great! Breakfast is homemade and to die for! The lodge is just outside of town, which my husband and I enjoyed a lot! The drive in every morning has such a nice view! Plans to return next year are already underway.

I recently stayed at the Sky Valley Chateau and it was absolutely wonderful! Gorgeous three-story lodge with great accommodations and plenty of activities to do at the lodge and around the lodge! We were able to play pool, relax in the hot tub, and spend time with family, and it kept everyone entertained of all ages. The place is clean, comfortable, and newly-remodeled. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to gather for any event!

This place is an amazing place for a gathering of about 20-30 people. There are so many hang out spots for individual different groupings, as well as a communal dining area next to the kitchen (set up for buffet service), and several outdoor areas to admire the view. AND THE VIEW.... even with the smoke haze it was absolutely breath taking - and I live in Denver and spend a considerable amount of time in the mountains (i.e. - it takes a good deal to impress me). I loved this place and really really wish I could just live here....

What a beautiful, mountain retreat! My family and I, plus all of the cousins, Uncles, Aunts, and my dear Grandparents came here for my Grandparent's 50th Wedding Anniversary! Truly, we had such a grand time here! We made so many, awesome memories, had lots of good laughs, and enjoyed the fellowship of family in this beautiful lodge. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place, hands down - if you are looking for a retreat with great service and caring staff for any big gathering or event. In fact, my family and I along with the rest of the immediate family, want to come back here and relive all the memories again someday! A HUGE "THANK YOU" to ALL of the staff here at Aspen View Lodge that made our big event successful, fun, and memorable. Without you all, it just wouldn't have been as neat or as fun.

The Aspen View Lodge is a wonderful place to stay! It feels very private, tucked down in a pretty Aspen grove. The house has many amenities to offer, such as numerous board games, books, movies, large sitting room with a cozy fireplace, hot tub, pool table, and outdoor patio. We greatly enjoyed the home made breakfast that was served the next morning. We will be back!

Possibly the best little lodge to stay in steamboat! John and Diane are excellent hosts, and I felt at home within minutes of arriving. In the morning, we were able to have a hearty breakfast home cooked, and when we left our drive wasn't long as we were only minutes from the slopes.

Fantastic spot just outside of town. Community lounge is vintage and very cool! Breakfast was absolutely delicious and Diane catered to our dietary needs perfectly. Overall a great value, and great bed and breakfast experience.

I rarely write reviews but the Aspen View Lodge seemed exceptionally deserving. Delicious hot breakfast on the weekends, secluded yet close to the mountain, towels to use for the hot springs, and Diane was super nice. Highly recommend.

Great spot, we felt so welcome. The bed was comfortable and room was perfect. Had a really nice common area with pool table, movie selections and places to kick back and play cards. Breakfast was always freshly made and delicious. We will be back.

Our extended family wanted to have a nice New Year's vacation in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It is difficult to find houses that can accommodate 17 to 20 people but the Chateau easily housed our family. There are enough bedrooms to satisfy every family member. The chateau has a large kitchen with a huge refrigerator/freezer. The stove was great since it had a hot plate, the usual burners and an overhead warming shelf. We made use of the house's foosball table, pool table and Xbox to keep the kids busy. We appreciated the complimentary flowers, wine, and candy bouquets that were present on the first day. The location was just a short drive to the ski lifts, tubing hills, and snowmobile trails. Having sleds and inner tubes for playing in the snow at the house was an unexpected plus.

We are halfway through our stay at Aspen View lodge, and we are loving it. Everything is beautiful, the room is nice, the location is great, the breakfast was delicious. My wife and I aren't really the bed and breakfast type, but I am so glad we stayed here!

Our first stay at a bed and breakfast, was all I hoped for and more! From the beautiful Mountain View’s to the delicious homemade breakfast each morning we had a wonderful stay. Snowshoe trails only minutes away and close to town. We took a family trip with our son and had a great stay! Thank you John and Diane (owners)
