Delicious, tasty, flavourful and authentic Jamaican food AND warm, superb service.

The four of us, we each ordered a platter with different meat: jerk chicken, jerk beef and curry goat. The platter came with rice, macaroni salad, green slaws with dressing and fried plantain. Everything was well-done and flavourful.
- The amount of rice and meat were generous, and they were good either on each's own or when eaten together.
- The plantain was nicely fried, so it was slightly crispy on the outside and well-done in the inside. It is fig plantain so it is sweet. The sweetness added a nice side-taste to the whole meal.
- I find the macaroni a surprised add-on to the meal. I ended my meal by finishing the macaroni. The dressing on the macaroni was just right to switch my taste bud to a completely different note (from saltiness to creaminess), but not to distract me from the whole theme of the meal.

Each of us also had a Jamaican patty. The patty size was quite larger than what I usually see (from train station, variety store, grocery-store package). The pastry is delicious: soft, just-right thickness; and the amount of meat was overwhelming - in a good way. The meat was also super-well sauced. We all were quite full after our platter; so finishing up the platter was somewhat difficult. However, we all found its taste and texture to be irresistible.

I love and strongly recommend this place. The restaurant does not look fancy or high-scaled like other more touristy restaurants in town; however, its friendly and warm-welcoming atmosphere plus the amazing, home-like and tasty food define its name: kitchen.

Amazing food - compliments to the chef! Excellent service from our waiter who was also tending the bar. We had the chips and salsa, fajitas, and wings. Everything was fantastic. Seems like a pretty cool place for live music and events, too. Highly recommend this place.

Marcia and Joe’s is the definition of a hidden gem. Tucked into the back of The Press bar on Lincoln Ave are two true islanders making Jamaican food so bold and flavorful that it transported me, even while fitting right into the eclectic bar food culture that has been a part of Steamboat since I went to high school here, in the 90s. I am so glad I found this amazing food!

As I write this, COVID is surging and businesses may have to lock down again. Marcia (Mar-see-ah, not Marsh-ah) greeted me with worried eyes as I walked in to the empty bar at opening time, but she followed with an easy laugh and she and Joe have a warm nature. You must support this business! This is perfect take out food! The delicious, spicy chicken, tangy chop salad, and fruity rice will make a perfect take out meal. The festivals, a fry bread that’s not unlike a donut, go with everything, as Marcia rightly advised. What a terrific place. Don’t let it slip away! Call ahead! Cater a Thanksgiving! Buy yourself Jerk for your socially distanced Christmas! This place is too good!

Amazing authentic Jamaican right in Steamboat! I've only been for breakfast but the menu is extensive and includes American style and real, straight off the island Jamaican food. The staff are so friendly and really love what they do. This place is a must on any visitor's list!

We ordered island platters with jerk chicken and pork. Everything was delicious. The chicken was tender and spicy, cardamom rice was great and I loved the spicy macaroni salad.

Could be one of the greatest hidden gem in the area. As a guy from Florida who’s been to the Caribbean a number of times, the food was top-shelf.

Authentic in style and flavors but with higher quality ingredients than you’d find in “traditional” Caribbean restaurants .

Unexpectedly surprised to find some of the best skiing along with the best island food in the same town! But I guess that’s part of what makes this town so great.

Had the jerk chicken and ox tail dishes (with rice, pasta salad, plantain and slaw). It was soooo good. The jerk chicken was spicy and tender. The ox tail wasn't spicy, but still flavorful. Our only regret? We got the small size (& maybe we should have tried more dishes)!

We ordered at 4:30pm for pick up at 6:15. It was on time (no wait at all).

Definitely will be back!

Wow this place is delicious! So much flavor. This is easily the best restaurant food (or maybe any food) that I’ve had since moving to Colorado from Louisiana a few years ago. Would recommend the jambalaya, macaroni salad, and jerk wings.

Even better than ever. We had dinner at their new location at The Press in Old Town Steamboat Springs. Delicious goat combo, including super tasty plantains, and a special hamburger with sweet potato fries. A bit more than I could eat, but my son was there for me. Great people; delicious food. Go see them. You’ll be glad you did.

This is the very best food in Steamboat! Joe and Marcia are the nicest people you will ever meet. Get a drink at Smokehouse and take it over there! Love, love, love. I can't say enough about these amazing people and their amazing food.

We are visiting from Nashville, TN. If you know Nashville you know we are a foodie city. I cannot say enough about Marcia and Joe’s. Absolutely delicious, great service, and great portions. My only regret is that we can’t eat here more often. There should be a line waiting to get into this place.

I have followed their friendly service and amazing island Flavors since they were at the kiosk near the Space Station. The food is delicious and so nice to have in a small town. You can find them now at The Press, which offers great beer, drinks, live music and events. Go visit them for lunch or dinner! You can also find them at the farmers’ market and the free summer concert series.

A must when in Steamboat. From Island platters and soups to burritos and tacos, Marcia and Joe never ever disappoint! Consistency on point and everything is definitely cooked and served with lots of love. Daily. Highly recommend the jerk pork tacos♥

I just had my first experience at Marcia and Joes! Wow!!! This will be a staple that I go to weekly. If you’re from Steamboat and you haven’t been here yet, you’re totally doing your tastebuds a disservice! Stop on in, you’ll probably see me in the corner drowning in delicious tacos and great customer service. I’ll be a “repeat offender” for years to come. They get an A++.

Holy cow! This food is fabulous. We had the jerk wings, a jerk pork platter, and a jerk chicken quesadilla. I agree with another reviewer - best quesadilla I've ever had. Big portions and super great service.

This food was AMAZING. I am rarely at a loss for words when it comes to food, but this place managed to do that. It’s inside a bar so that was a bit confusing, but it didn’t matter in the end. Go here and visit a place that has real Jamaican food. You will not be disappointed!

Their food is incredible. The chicken just falla off the bone. Their fried okra is amazing. One of the best places in Steamboat!

Marcia and Joe’s Kitchen is amazing. We ordered the wings, jerk chicken, and the jammin chicken and it legit fell off the bone. I will def be eating here again.

This place deserves every 5 star rating. They boast some of the best fried chicken and chicken wings period. Great service as well.
