We reserved the Wine Cellar room for my wife’s birthday and it was an Excellent experience. Everything from the communication in planning the menu, to the food, and the service was top notch making for an exquisite intimate dining evening. JJ, Chris, Thomas, and the whole crew were fantastic! Highly recommend for a special event or just an evening out.

My husband and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary in the wine cellar room at Harwigs. JJ, Chris and the rest of the team did a magical job. We had 9 courses paired with different wines and shared the evening with 7 of our friends. They were able to modify the menu for two people in our group who had dietary restrictions. The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented. We will definitely be back to celebrate in the wine cellar room. It was such a fun evening!

We had a small wedding in Steamboat and celebrated with a reception at Harwigs. JJ and his team were exceptional. They were responsive from the jump, receptive to our ideas and, best of all, their food and service were fantastic. They were great communicators. Our guests loved the menu and the space. Harwigs is perfect for hosting an event like ours and we'd highly recommend them. We can't wait to come back.

We had a lovely dinner curated by Chef JJ in the private wine cellar! JJ worked with us to curate the menu to fit our group’s preferences, the wine pairings were phenomenal, and the atmosphere provided such a fun and unique way to enjoy a meal with our family. Thank you to the entire Harwig’s crew for making our experience one that will be remembered for a lifetime.

Oldest originally owned restaurant in Steamboat. The stained glass is glorious. Blends classic and modern feel perfectly. A Steamboat staple and up there for best restaurant in town.

We had Harwigs cater our wedding of 70 people at Perry Mansfield in Steamboat and I could not have asked for a more perfect restaurant to do so! Not only was the food absolutely incredible, the staff were all amazing, caring, and hardworking people. I also had a great experience working with the chef, JJ in the planning process. I highly recommend them for catering needs, or just a nice dinner out in Steamboat!

Harwigs should be at the top of your list for their intentionally crafted dishes, delicious cocktail menu and one of the best happy hours in town! JJ and crew never miss a detail in the dining experience!

once in a lifetime private dining experience. you are escorted to a cute little wine cellar to eat. favorite dishes were the oysters and french onion soup. this is a must visit if you are in steamboat springs, but prepare for a pricey meal.

Outstanding! Incredibly creative chef with a menu that changes regularly. Best wine selection anywhere. If you want a special meal in a low key town, look no where else.

Harwigs is home to the only wine cellar in Steamboat and it does not disappoint! With multiple private rooms to choose from, it is great for both small and large parties. Family owned since 1979, with phenomenal customer service, excellent food, and the best sommelier in town.

Only came for late night drinks but had an awesome experience. Mikie was an awesome server and I loved the T- Quila. Will be back

Harwigs has always been our favorite. The incredible food, amazing wine selection, welcoming staff and private dining room are epic. The best French onion soup in the world. Such a great experience for special occasions. Highly recommend gem in Steamboat!

Perfectly delicious dinner. I see they are struggling to run a full schedule and don’t presume to understand it but the food and service were exceptional.

Very good food, very helpful and professional staff. Food was absolutely stellar, and the wine list is more like a book. Also a handful of specialty cocktails which were good! Blue cheese flavored one was wild. Duck was fantastic! Hope to come back next time we are in Steamboat!

Wonderful place for a special occasion or event! I had my wedding reception at Harwigs in June, 2022 and everything was flawless. The staff and owner made sure that everything ran smoothly and were so kind and courteous. The food is unique and delicious! I will absolutely be returning and would highly recommend.

Great food and great service!

Harwigs has been a longtime favorite for my husband and me. This week we were lucky enough to have some family join us and the evening did not disappoint! Our waiter, Chris, was extremely attentive and took great care of us, as did Mike when it came to the wine. The food was phenomenal, and we loved every minute of the evening. Hands down our favorite place for a nice dinner anywhere, and especially in Steamboat!

This was our third dinner at Harwigs and we've experienced the same things each time: genuine, down-to-earth, and knowledgeable servers and sommeliers, excellent wine selection, creative cocktails, expertly prepared and indescribably delicious small plates, entrées and desserts. Harwigs is the gem of Steamboat and truly one of the best restaurants in Colorado. It is comparable to the amazing restaurants we've enjoyed in Paris. We are very much looking forward to our next dinner at Harwigs!

We had a wonderful meal at Harwigs. The food was amazing, so flavorful and delicious. My children were raving for hours after our meal, they are 5 and 8 and both loved their meals! It is a tall order to satisfy my family of 4, however Harwigs did that and more. On top of great food everyone there was friendly and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
