Steamboat Motors

My family purchased a used Toyota 4Runner from Steamboat. I would describe it as an old-school dealership that embraces the responsiveness of the new school. My deal was ultimately fair particularly in light of the vehicle, its mileage, the true market value of the truck and my abilities - or lack thereof -- as a negotiator who showed his hand to some industry veterans. That said, I was obviously satisfied with price. I found the sales process to be smooth. The sales person with whom we worked was very on top of communication: both text and phone (loved that), big on hyperbole and chatter that was a bit frantic and beside the point. It was all about the sale. He was at once nice and, in the context of relationship building, transactional. But transparently so. It's important to note that the dealership understood my geography (300+ miles away) and worked to hold the car on my behalf so I could get up and look at it, going so far as to offer a hotel room to my family. A service manager came out and took time to ensure that the four-wheel drive system worked properly and offered instruction on that front. When my financial institution did not have its act together on financing communication, the dealership let me take the car anyway, trusting me and the institution. Again, it's at once old school and comforting: these types of places still exist out there in a dealer landscape that has made shopping for a used car in the digital, post-COVID inflation era difficult.

Special Thank You to Corey and Jimmy!! We had ordered a brand new Jeep Rubicon 2023 from Walser Jeep in Hopkins, MN. Long story, short… we waited over 3 months for it to be made. Finally went to pick it up last Saturday. Our salesman Matt, who was terrific to deal with, was off for the day. Dealt with another sales mgr, who was helpful. He took it through the car wash before doing the paperwork. The cover came off the electrical charger, got stuck in the brushes of the car wash and continued to scrape and dent the drivers side! The GM offered $700 off, wow right!! Well we continued our search for our Hydro Blue Hybrid Jeep, and this is when our luck changed!! These guys are the most incredibly guys to work with! Corey followed up with my husband as soon as my husband reached out to them! Whatever we needed from them they obliged! They picked us up at the airport, offered to put us up at a hotel and put a huge red bow on the hood for me! There were literally tears in my eyes because they knew our story, and knew it was for my birthday in August! This company is amazing to work with! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Just bought a new Ram from Steamboat Motors. I have bought many cars from them. They have leadership that cares about the customer and the employees and they want to be part of this community. Like any business they are here to make a profit but they follow up with service and never forget who " brought them to the dance." As long as Ralph is the owner, I'm a customer for life!

I purchased a ram 3500 from Corey B. and it was 100% on line. The pickup was everything he said it was and more. Great price, great service and “honest as the day is long” ! I cannot thank Steamboat Motors enough from this out of state buyer! It was worth every mile !!!

My company delivered car to this dealership. I got scammed with payment by dishonored broker, but, Jim , manager stepped in and made everything right. There is good people in this world and some of them work at that dealership! Would do business with them in a future no brainer.

We were elk hunting and we popped a 440k mile radiator hose that hadn’t been replaced. Ordered the part from steamboat then we went in and had them do it. service and diesel tech got us right in. It was a 30 minute job. Thanks Tim in service for helping us out.

These guys were great to work with. I bought the vehicle online and the Corey helped make it a painless process with video tours of the vehicle and answered my many questions. We drove up to pick the vehicle and were greeted by our salesman Corey as well as the owner and they took all the time we needed to walk through the vehicle and the buying process. Upon inspecting the vehicle there was some dog hair on the seats and unprompted Corey said our detailer is out and that's unacceptable please get it detailed and send me the bill. All in all I highly recommend this team as you won't deal with the sleaziness most dealerships bring.

Thomas and his team in the service department were terrific in doing the 105,000 mile service on my 2016 RAM 2500. Called me personally after I left a phone message and got me in late morning, It's a major service but they finished it before 5 pm and even found and fixed a disturbing rattle coming from a loose spare tire that I had not been able to address. I've used these folks several times for service on my trucks and they've always been quick and honest, as well as fair in their pricing.

I had been searching for a used Subaru Legacy with low mileage and found the perfect car at Steamboat Motors - a 2017 Legacy with just over 7,000 miles.
From the time I made the first call to the dealership to the time I drove off the lot, the team at Steamboat Motors was nothing but helpful. A big shout out to Christian, in sales, for his kindness and patience, and I want to thank him for taking the time to sit in the car and show me all the features of my new car -- you were awesome! I would also like to thank John in the financial department for taking the time to go over all the loan options and warranty choices; he was extremely knowledgeable and helped us make the right decision for our situation. The team at Steamboat Motors is amazing -- no pressure, just great service and I am very happy with my new car!!

This was the easiest car-buying experience I've been a part of. Jason made this transaction incredibly easy. He offered a fair trade-in price for my vehicle, along with offering a realistic price on my purchase. Virtually all paperwork was signed before I set foot at the dealership. I was traveling in to pick up my new vehicle and was worried about having to sit for hours. Not the case here; I spent maybe 30 minutes tops. Steamboat was very mindful of my time and was incredibly accommodating. Overall, a fantastic experience. I could not recommend them more.

I am traveling for work and desperately need an oil change for my 2018 Ford Escape. I called while on my way from Boston, Massachusetts, to schedule an appointment. They got me in super quick! I am working at the local hospital, and they had Brett drive me to work after I dropped off my vehicle. It was a very nice drive. Everyone is so nice and straightforward. When they called to tell me my vehicle was ready for pickup, they reviewed with me, and I will need brakes with the next oil change. It is nice they are honest because the dealer I was working with in PA kept telling me I needed them ASAP and quoted me a ridiculous amount. Since I work long shifts and was not going to make it back before they closed, they delivered my vehicle to me at the hospital! It was great, and I didn't have to get an Uber for the night! Thank you guys so much for all your hard work! You are truly great!

I have bought and traded many vehicles out of state and local. Steamboat Motors showed me a great experience, one that ranks as one of the best if not the best! Worked with Kory the entire time. He was quick to respond and very efficient in getting me everything I needed. They were very fair in the price of my trade as well.
