We first brought our son to see Dr. Barbara when he was just over three. We were very familiar with Dr. Barbara and her treatment as she has helped our daughter immensely, with her allergy to animals and persistent congestion.

With regard to my son, I breast fed him until he was two and I did not consume wheat products during this time; nor did he as it was evident his body could not tolerate it. When food became his primary source of nutrition, he had periodic exposures to wheat and his reaction to it was quite distinct. He would experience episodes of completely irrational behavior and very angry outbursts. He also experienced unusual mood swings, unusual itching, frequent awakenings at night and very loud outbursts in his dreams. This was all quite the contrary to his natural and customary behavior.

As a result of these episodes, we were very concerned and I even began to wonder if he actually had some form of autism. Thankfully, Dr. Barbara was able to discern the perfect remedy for him and honestly, all of his symptoms have either resolved or diminished. The only time we see any of this behavior (other than age-appropriate pushing the limits kind of stuff) is after the rare occasion he has consumed wheat. But again, his symptoms are not nearly as severe as before and resolve swiftly after he takes another remedy.

It might be too soon to say this, but recently Dr. Barbara raised the dosage of his remedy and just two nights before writing this note, he consumed a large bowl of noodles that we thought were gluten-free, but learned later that they were not! We have all braced for the change in mood and behavior and of yet (fingers crossed!!), he has not had any emotional or physical reaction whatsoever!!
