Jamestown Settlement Cafe

We were able to talk to the presenters and ask questions because of low attendance, probably due to the time of year. The outdoor exhibits are fun and interactive, and the exhibition halls inside are so informative. The staff was also personable and helpful too. We were in the halls indoors for a couple of hours and no lines or crowds at all, so it felt like we had the galleries to ourselves. We still didn't read everything even with no waiting. This is a wonderful place to visit and learn about American history.

The thought and expertise put into putting this museum together is outstanding. Multi dimensonicial, multi screen video presentations are not to be missed. Great exhibition of artifacts. Start at the first room and progress chronologically. The outside exhibition of the Indian village and Jamestown settlement are supplemented by period costumed, knowledgeable reinactors. Outside, on the water of the replicas of the three ships that brought the settlers to the American shore. All guides answer all your questions. Highlight of my seven day visit.

The food was excellent! The grill was about to close at 4:00 PM and the chefs cooked up a feast for us. I am amazed that the prices are still reasonable in the wake of skyrocketing food prices due to supply chain shortages since the museum has a captive audience. This normally means outrageous prices similar to what you would experience in a airport while traveling. Between the (11) people, we pretty much had everything from burgers, Eastern NC style BBQ, fried fish, and pizza for about $103. That’s a little under $10 a person for those keeping score. That’s with no drinks. I would come here just to eat if I was in the area. Well done JS Cafe!!

For a place with do many food options, you can't find a thing that isn't delicious on the menu! I tried the Brunswick stew and chicken tenders with fries. It was all really good! The staff are also super friendly and kind and will carry on a conversation if you're okay with that.

I never thought I'd find myself reviewing a museum cafe, but here we are cuz the place was surprisingly yummy! Lots of offerings - truly something for everyone - and very reasonably priced considering they're the only option if you want a snack or lunch. Service was really stellar, too

The quesadilla was so good, and the bagel was good too. Had high hopes for the giant pickle but unfortunately it didnt live up to the hype

A great place to dine if you're hungry from spending the day at the Jamestown Museum. Great food. Inexpensive. Right inside the museum.

Wow, I got the ham salad sandwich and it was terrific! LOADED with ham salad, and there was a bar to add pickles, tomatoes, lettuce and other goodies. Daughter loved her tuna salad sandwich meal, and hubby his pizza. Great options!

I had the chicken chili and it was delicious!! I also have a significant allergy and they were very accommodating. Glad to have discovered it while on our field trip!

This place you have to go to when you visit the Foundation! They will always have someone who is available to assist you and you are never kept waiting. The food is always fresh and their grilled items are very delightful. Families and friends don't forget to stop by this cafe for any of your lunch needs and be sure that they will have something on their menu to please your appetite.

This place deserves five stars for having a really nice gluten free menu. It's really hard to find GF choices at typical cafes linked with tourist attractions: usually they just have hot dogs, burgers, etc. This place has GF pizza, chicken strips, stew ... and huge salads. I couldn't come close to finishing my chef salad. Our kids said the crust on the gluten free pizza was excellent.

The Jamestown Settlement Cafe had a large variety of options for lunch. A lot of the items were pre-made, however, you could order items as you moved through the cafe. There was plenty of seating, even seating outside.

This was just the icing on the cage for a great day at this museum

This was a beautiful place with very friendly people. One of the best parts was the Tenacity Museum about powerful BLACK WONEN and their accomplishments in the world. Also you gotta got to the Cafe and get the Chicken Chili and the Cornbread its TO DIE 4

Amazing!!! The staff was super friendly. My kids enjoyed the Jamestown settlement and Powhatan village more than colonial Williamsburg, honestly. We will come back. We could have spent longer here!
