Meats Of Virginia Butcher Shop & DELI (Formerly Edwards Ham Shop)

Went to Meats of Virginia today for lunch. It was absolutely amazing. I got a Roast Beef Wrap, my husband got a Cuban Sandwich and my son got a Mile High Turkey Sandwich. This place is off the beaten path and well worth the drive. Outdoor seating but you won’t even know it because the sandwiches, sides and desserts are so good.

Grabbed sandwiches today for lunch and had second half for dinner they were sooo big. One Cuban and one turkey club with cole slaw, chips, and a delicious slice of cake for dessert. Totally worth a ferry ride from Williamsburg to try this great sub shop. They also have a unique collections of meats to buy.

What an amazing sandwich. You, for sure, get the bang for your buck here. Not to mention a quaint, friendly, and yummy shop filled with meats, sauces, peanuts, and all things Virginia. You definitely need to stop here!! Thanks for the delicious combo!

This places is so good. Local shop with deli meat, fresh produce from local farmers and delicious sandwiches.
We both have a build your own sandwich. The meat was fresh and tasty.
If you ever by here make sure to stop by and get some tasty treats for the road.

Visited with my wife and younger son 2/3/2024. This place is very unique. We were not in the market for meats that day, but the selection is great, with an assortment of unique meats to choose from as well. We were looking for a place to have lunch and heard this establishment had a deli as well. I've got to tell you, wow, awesome food! Don't short change yourself, try this place out if you enjoy deli food. The folks running this business are very friendly and attentive as well.

What a find! We came across on the ferry to explore Bacon’s Castle and Smithfield and stopped for a quick bite. The sandwich was HUGE and absolutely delicious. We did a combo that included chips, a drink, and a delectable lemon bar. Mmmmmmm. But, even more than the wonderful lunch, I appreciated the friendliness and cheer that greeted us! What a great day. Thanks for the Virginia hospitality and delicious meal.

Great price for amount of food you get..this place DOES NOT scimp on toppings. Also a cute little General Store.

We had some time to kill before Busch Gardens so we enjoyed the ferry ride and stopped here for lunch. Their food was fast and fresh and tasted incredible! Quaint country atmosphere too.

We took the ferry just for fun and stumbled across this amazing Butcher shop. The wraps and sandwiches were delicious and the desserts were a lovely bonus. The combos are a must! We will definitely be back when visiting this area. What a great find!

We went in there wanting to try some new meats. The woman was super helpful to help us choose our meats and chili mix. Our ostrich and antelope chili was delicious! Some folks went back multiple times for more! Thank you so much! Support this veteran owned business! Worth the drive!

Stopped in to get some country ham and just check out the place. What a nice surprise! They have all kinds of meats available for sale and locally sourced goodies, including some delicious looking baked goods. There are several interesting Jerky options, including alligator and shark. If you need a unique gift for someone, check them out!

I was very surprised, amazingly friendly, clean and Wow, great selection and the sandwich I bought was delicious. I’ll be back many more times.

Stopped in to get a sandwich and it was the largest deli sandwich I have ever had. I had the ham and pimento it was delicious! Then I picked up some elk, antelope and boar meat to cook at home it's worth the drive.

Friendly staff and super fresh sandwiches. It's my preferred place to get lunch when I travel to Chippokes State Park for projects. The preserves and salsa they sell are delicious as well. Definitely recommend and looking forward to trying more items on their menu.
