Dollar General

I liked what they have done to the place! It looks much more like a cute small town store! My favorite is the home decor section you can see it as soon as you walk in! The items are a decent price. Found some cute 1.00 plates would have loved to get the matching set.

Super friendly staff and they always seem to have what you are looking for.

Store was well stocked and organized, they even had some good sales on some DVDs for sale that were educational PBS type. Large parking lot too I was able to navigate my truck and camper through it and park easily.

Great stop on the way to the camp ground.

The newly remodeled Dollar general store in Surry is so much nicer although the size is the same the layout makes it appear to be bigger so it is much better and seems to carry more items and nicer items than before . This store is usually crowded but on the day that I was there Tuesday for a change it wasn't .The self checkout lane is a definite plus
and the employees are helpful and friendly.

Employees are great, store is always clean and well kept, best Dollar General around!

Their management isn't great but they are fair. The employee turnover is high but there good ones stay. If you're ever in doubt just ask for Deborah.

First visit to this location. Nice size, very well stocked. I heard it referred to as "The Surry Walmart".
