Volunteer is super helpful and patient to explain and checking on a gas chain saw. Even when they typically do not carry gas power tools. Craig and Bill are the two gentleman I talked to during multiple visits. It would be my go to place next time I need anything related to tools. Meanwhile they are very nice to accepted donated items to be used for a new tool library in Shoreline. all in all this place filled with care in the community and I feel like I should volunteer here too.

Superb humans right here. Helpful, patient and this is just some kind stuff right here. Do you actually need to own a thing that you might need 1-5 years apart. I have enough stuff, accumulating stuff is so 1980's.

Great library to rent tools! Super helpful volunteers and well stocked. Pay a visit instead of buying tools.

It's a good place to borrow all kinds of tools you need for your home projects or work. The membership is $ 50 a year. You can also donate the tools you don't need.

This is the best Tool Library in the Puget Sound, bar none. They have a wide variety of tools & things to check out - all free. They even have some consumable stuff like screws and nails, seeds, etc. – things you wouldn't necessarily bring back. The staff/ volunteers are helpful, hard-working, committed people.

I just went to a router class it was very informative and cost me not a dime (voluntary donations accepted). These guys have a tool trade day (at least once a year, I think), they have chainsaw safety classes. I've taken a class on how to properly sharpen a blade. They have apple presses that they set out in the proper season where you can bring your own apples and press them for your own apple cider.

They are active in the community and are an awesome community in and of themselves. Can't say enough good things about them.

wow, wow, wow.
I love this place! I have only used it a few times but what a great resource for tools. I have a garage full of tools that I have purchased to use only one or two times. Now I can skip the trip to Home Depot. The staff has been a great resource to me. Pleasant, Helpful, and Knowledgeable. there is even one guy who bakes bread daily to share with anyone.

Huge selection of tools, woodworking, metalworking, drywall, concrete... You name it!
Can be a little tricky to find things but it's fun to browse around.

The library has EVERYTHING, from gutter cleaning tools to apple cider presses to drills and drywall equipment to catering supplies, a yogurt machine, sewing machines, wheelbarrows... And an awesome little bike area to throw your bike on a stand and fix whatever ails it!

Love this place. I have done so many tiny to large projects done courtesy tools borrowed from the library. All the volunteers are super nice and helpful, assist with any and all questions, and make sure members go home satisfied. They even have a shop you could use

Great selection of tools for lawn, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and a slew of other projects, and the volunteers working there are friendly and helpful too.

These folks are really nice, knowledgeable, and interested in what projects your working on. They've been a great resource for those home projects where you only need a tool for this one thing.
I think NESTL has saved me a few hundred on tool purchases, plus the environmental benefits of reducing consumption.
Mike, Chris, and the other folks have a wealth of knowledge their eager to share.
The recommended donation is cheaper than a used circular saw. Join up!

This place has literally everything, and I mean that. There are tools here I didn't even know existed. They even have cement mixers. Do yourself a favor and save a bunch of money by checking out tools from the library instead of buying some random tool you'll only use once.

This is a very cool place. I brought in a used bike that I just bought. They checked it over and made adjustments where necessary and swapped my seat for me. I gave a $20 donation. It was a good experience, nice people here.

How did I not know about this?!? A huge variety of tools and super friendly and knowledgeable staff / volunteers. No more buying 'disposable' garbage tools from harbor freight for a one-off job!

Great place with nice volunteers and quite a few tools to rent. You can rent chainsaws, pressure washers, and a few other things as well but certain tools like the ones I just mentioned require a safety class before renting.

A perfect fit. All the regular tools and even the odd ones you don't want to buy for a single use. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and will help you find or show you how to use anything. The cider press in the fall is a PNW must
