Maple Leaf Hardware

Several years ago I purchased an eGO blower with charger from Ace Hardware Maple Leaf (North Seattle). Then some months later I purchased a line trimmer that uses the same battery. Both tools have been terrifically solid and well-suited for our corner lot with a mid-sized lawn and various planted beds and pathways. Fast forward to last week when I plugged in the normally trusty battery, and "poof"! Nothing happened. Silence. Normally the charger lights up and a fan kicks on to cool the unit while charging. After checking a few plugs to make sure it was the charger or battery, I took both pieces to Ace Maple Leaf. Shout out to Floor Manager Caleb who quickly troubleshot the offending charger and declared it was the culprit. He ducked into the back, rummaged around and produced a working charger, then sent me on my way. I SO appreciate when people like Caleb are empowered to make things happen. Another example of the excellent customer service at Maple Leaf Ace. The entire floor team at this store is dedicated to customer service and making their very best effort to make sure you are helped and off to your next project. GO TEAM! Thank you, Ace Maple Leaf.

Maple Leaf Ace Hardware is a small little store that is useful for small, quick shopping visits. I'm always able to find what I need, and there is usually not a line to check out. My only issue with this store is the prices. I understand that it is a small locally owned store that may not be able to compete with Home Depot for example, but things seem to be several dollars if not more expensive than I would find them elsewhere.

Other than that, they have a great selection of products and the location for me makes weekend chores go smoothly. I will continue to shop there.

Can't say enough about this place. My partner and I recently purchased a home in Greenlake and this is our new local hardware store.

Whenever you walk in, you're greeted by a friendly face asking if they can help you find anything. I even had a one off dishwasher issue that I walked in and described and the staff was able to point me exactly to what I needed. Do you know how many trips I'd have to take to the hardware store normally with a project?! It's because I'm not an expert. These people are and help you think through problems you didn't even realize were coming down the pike.

Aside from that, lines are short, staff are friendly and more than helpful, I really can't say enough. Very happy to have them in our neighborhood. If you haven't, you should go check them out! Always nice to support a small business (Each Ace is locally owned) rather than one of the huge stores.

Friendly and helpful, the Maple Leaf Ace can guide you through whatever home project you're working on. They carry the usual hardware store items in addition to kitchen and cleaning stuff. A highlight during the cold weather, they stock Home Fire Logs that are made in Western Washington. These are the best for your home fireplace or wood stove; they burn hot and retain their shape.

The customer service here is excellent!!! There’s actually people who know what they’re talking about all over the floor ready to get you what you need and get out fast. Has happened twice I’ve been in asked for what I needed they take me right to it and I’m out the door. Vs going to Home Depot or Lowe’s where theirs no one in site and if you do find someone they don’t know what they’re talking about or have to look it up on their phones. A+++ (that must be why they call it Ace because they ace it every time)

I've been coming here for over twenty years. How many stores can you say that the experience and service is better now than ever? Not many, I reckon, but true for this store. The minute you walk in, you're greeted and directed, if you came for specific items, that's a huge help. I often end up getting what I need quickly, then browse a bit because they have plenty to discover on their shelves. The staff here are knowledgeable too, and can find someone to help problem solve most any issue. Thanks Maple Leaf crew!

Best place to get a car key copied. Only $5 for older simpler keys. At minute key or keyme self-serve kiosks, it will try to charge you $250, lol. Don't fall for it, come here. Staff is very professional and helpful.

Get the help you need from experts who really know the answers instead of reading the package back to you that you already read yourself. Extremely well staffed. You never have to look around for help. Has two huge rows of fasteners sold in bulk, so you don’t have to buy a bunch of bubble packs. This store is here to serve people instead of serving number crunchers at a corporate headquarters.

It's a smaller version of home depot but has almost all necessary supplies and the staff is great, very polite and ready to attend.

Super helpful people and well organized store! Only thing is the entrance has stairs so it's not super accessible

Prices are a little more expensive here, but having a hardware store that is close to home, smaller than a Lowe's or Home Depot, and has employees that are friendly and helpful is well worth it!! Much prefer stopping here than other big box stores.

This is one of the few real hardware stores left in this town. Lots of helpful staff. A generous selection of stuff, including a good fastener aisle and smaller pieces of steel and aluminum stock. I've ordered big items (insulation, grill) and had them delivered there at competitive prices. Pickup is easy and they help load. I drive past two large box stores without blinking to get to Maple Leaf Hardware. I've always found a parking spot in their lot.

A great store with top notch customer service! Had so much fun just talking to staff, walking around the store and looking at all the extra stuff they have besides hardware, tools etc. My new favorite hardware store!

The woman who manages the painting section knows more about paint than I know about anything. She is insanely knowledgeable, super kind, and genuinely interested in making sure your project goes well.

Maple Leaf Ace Hardware has been there since I was a child, at least 60 years! The service is impeccable-- there is always someone ready to help you find what you need. Good prices, too. I have found things here priced lower than Lowe's.

Best neighborhood hardware store! The service here is amazing and the people who have helped us here actually know what they are talking about and where things are! I feel like I rarely get that at bigger stores like Home Depot or Lowe’s—it’s hard to find people who know about the products or have the experience to give good advice or recommendations. Very grateful to have this gem nearby.

Super helpful! I needed an extractor bit, and the store person got me the correct size in 2 min. The bit worked too.

[Update] I went back to get a couple of metric screws. As it turned out, I was looking for the wrong size. Luckily, the super knowledgeable person named Jeff pointed that out to me by looking at the screw I brought with me, and showed me the correct ones to buy. I don't know what to do without them.

When my husband and I inquired about a hex screw for our bathtub faucet handle, Grant helped us locate the correct screw. The screw would not seat completely in the handle; we brought the screw and this time the handle back to Ace and Grant noted the threads in the handle were covered in debris; he cleaned out the threads for us and we were able to successfully place the screw and attach the handle. Faucet handle works perfectly.
