Westover Market Beer Garden

Great place, incredible selection of beers. Also have variety of wines and hard seltzers. Prices in the market are kind of high but on par with the area. Good enough eats selection and a nice little outside area setup perfect for taking a break after a stroll in the neighborhood. Definitely worth a stop to check out and relax.

A charming beer cafe in an absolutely charming neighborhood. Had a few beers from the tap and were absolutely delightful! I would definitely recommend the stout, the cider is good too but a bit fruity if that is not to your taste.

The inside of the cafe is pretty and cozy but I only sat in the open air space which is very nice and comfortable, even if you are in larger groups. There's a kitchen as well for food but I didn't have any.

Will go back a few times, loved the vibe of the place.

We really enjoyed this place. They had music on the patio. Food was good and reasonably priced. We had the Italian sub and the salad with salmon. Both were good. Service was good. I would definitely recommend this place.

There were 6 of us at a table. We all ordered something different to eat AND we all thought what we had was very, very good. Hard to beat that. Parking is a little tricky but doable.

The lighting is superb. Just makes you want to drink beer. But fresh juices are ok as well. Smile at checkout lady.

We are long time frequenters of the market and beer garden (since its earliest days). This place is great. It’s a bit worn around the edges, the market itself (grocery part) could afford an upgrade, but otherwise I have no complaints. This place is the anchor of Westover.

First timer…..WOW! The beer / wine selection is not only huge but well thought out. No duds in this list!
Food….wonderful. I did not have high hopes thinking it was going to be the usual bar bites. The entire menu was super. It contained many items with ingredients which were sourced locally and delicious.

Will I be back? Definitely!

PS try the Ono Flip Flop raspberry sour. It rocked! Perfect on a warm day. 🙂

Awesome staff, and a wide selection of premium drinks (alcoholic and non). They may specialize in beers, but don't let that fool you. The Beer Garden also carries excellent ciders, and even quality ginger ale!

Great rotating beer selection, good traditional american(burgers and pie) menu (also poutine). Small indoor space, 6 stools at bar, maybe 26 seats at 2 and 4 tops. Generous outdoor seating with 3 fire pits and an outdoor tap/TV's during good weather. Dogs welcome outside of beer garden fence.

Fun outdoor space!! Awesome service, great beer, and yummy snacks. They even have a screen to watch local sports on. Good spot for a spring or summer evening out

5 stars for the staff, who are really accommodating and kind. We came in late one night to watch the Caps game, no one was there, and even though they had closed their kitchen, they looked around and brought out some tortilla chips and salsa. A very kind gesture after I had just landed from a 10 hour flight.

The Beer Garden was nice. They had music and just enough people. There was good music and umbrellas, a canopy, and the food was great. Try their burgers. But they have a nice variety of food to choose from like qusadillas, kielbasa, BLTs, hot dogs with sauerkraut. Oh yes and beer. It's a nice place

This place is so relaxing, and even if you're surrounded by people you don't know it still feels like you're spending time with friends.

The bar inside has a large TV with high quality audio and excellent drink choices, especially for beer. If you choose to sit at a table, you still have to order from the bar. Food is always well prepared and delicious, but the website menu doesn't always match what's actually available (there are usually more options offline, including specials listed at the bar).

The patio outside has a fireplace, ambient lighting, another bar, more TVs and plenty of benches, picnic tables, and smaller tables where you can sit with your dog while you eat. Free wifi is available.

There are two areas, a mostly outdoor beer garden popular with locals in the evenings and weekends, and an indoor grocery/butcher/beer mecca. I notice a lot of negative reviews are for the beer garden. Can't say I've been. Instead I go out of my way to pick up interesting cans and bottles to take home. Large and interesting selection with good regional and Belgian beer options. Every single time I walk away with fun new beers to try. Don't miss the refrigerated beers in one of the middle aisles. It may not be the cheapest in Arlington but I don't think Westover has a nearby competitor in terms of quantity and variety of beer choice, all while checking the local business box.

High rating is mainly for the beer garden/restaurant.

Regarding Beer Garden: Good food/specials, good draft beer selection, fun outdoor atmosphere, great staff. If you want to relax outside with a beer by a fire in the winter, or listen to bands in the summer and eat good food while you do it, this is the only place in Westover to do it, and they do it well. They also have a book club and a science night. It's really great.

Regarding the Market. Beer selection is good. Market is a bit more expensive than it should be. Produce is mediocre at best. Not really a very good market overall, but the only general market in reasonable walking distance of Westover. The upside is that they have a really good and sometimes exotic meats, and tons of beers. My high rating is really for the beer garden/bar which I wouldn't want to give less than 5 stars. If I were rating just the market, it would be 3 stars.

Somewhat small outdoor area can get crowded on nice nights/popular dates but well worth the visit either way. Falls church crowd is good people, stop by for a quick drink, or the store inside has lots of selection and plenty of local stuff which I like. Live music tonight. Little known bar around the corner that I like too. Highly recommend this outdoor beer spot.

This is one of Arlington's best hidden gems. It is a local spot. Most of their customers walk from the surrounding neighborhood - and for good reason. Every day they serve up a selection of some of the best beer in Arlington. The selection rotates frequently, so the chances that you'll find something new are great. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable, and make fantastic recommendations. They have a great selection of standard bar fare, as well as more exotic specials such as the wild burger of the week (gator, boar, camel, etc.).

The atmosphere is family friendly and there is often live music playing on the patio. You will see many families with young kids as well as the occasional dog hanging out on the other side of the fence (dogs are not allowed on the patio).

Westover is just slightly over a mile from the East Falls Church Metro in case you want to walk.

This is a fine beer garden. Off the street in a small strip mall, good range of draft and bottled beers, good food, and a great vibe. You're in North Arlington, so it's not cheap, but a really nice neighborhood kind of feel makes it a good place to spend your time. It's open all year: wood fires keep you warm in winter, and there is live music in the warmer months.

Best pub/beer garden food I have ever had!

We live in the Westover neighborhood where the beer garden is located, and it is our go-to place to hang and taste some great beer with friends and real estate clients.

Hole in the wall incorporated into a supermarket. Fun. Exceptional food and beer. Great casual place to drop in with our buyers when out looking at houses for them to buy in Arlington.

This market is the ultimate heaven for a man! Lots of premium cut, healthy meat and greatly brewed craft beers! I could stay here all day! A great add on, is that they have a very nice outdoor patio for you to enjoy your beer and food with the fresh air.
