Safeway

I can't say enough good things about the pharmacist that I saw. Working alone, she served a lot of people before and after me, yet she had my prescription ready on time. I am not sure how she did it! Also, I go to this store for the roasted chicken. It is usually moist and I don't care for over-cooked, dried-out chicken. It disappointed once, but the manager took care of it for me.

We placed a catering order online for pickup at this Safeway location. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful - opening up a check-out line for us, so that we didn’t have to wait. The food was very fresh, well-made, and incredibly tasty. The portions were generous. My expectations were exceeded. We would definitely order again from Safeway and, specifically, from this store. Thank you Safeway staff.

Neighborhood supermarket with stellar customer service. I was there this morning picking up an online order. There was a minor screw-up and the manager did his best to fix things. Very happy I met the Safeway team on duty today. Great bunch of folks. 👏🏾👏🏾

This store has really turned around over the last year. A nice fresh remodel and friendly staff make this store a very nice neighborhood store. Deli case looked extremely fresh and inviting.

This was my first time going to this safeway, very quaint and clean. I noticed the steak and chicken sandwich is a bit smaller than what I'm used to at A larger safeway. The staff seemed pleasant and they were cleaning the front of the store when I arrived. They represent Safeway brand well

Oh I miss these old places. If your looking for frills keep driving. If you want good service and good deals on everything they carry then stop here. I grew up around these small stores with customer service and competitiveness on thir minds. A solid win for any shopper

Nice old fashioned Safeway with polite staff. Never have to wait in line, and easy to find stuff because it is not as massive as other stores. Doesn't have a bakery, and deli is tiny- but does have pharmacy which also never has a line.

I'm glad to see they are remodeling the inside because it used to be quite basic and boring. They have a good variety of stuff, and I also love the FOO sign on the side of it. (It used to say food and drug, but the letters burned out.)

I had a brief but really fantastic visit at this Safeway today! I used to be a regular shopper at Safeway but over the years I've drifted away from them and to the Harris-Teeter, Wegmans approach to grocery shopping.

The store I visited today was a fluke of convenience as I needed just a few items. The store looked worn down from the outside and it was in pretty rough shape on the inside too.

But a funny thing happened...I ended up having a great experience because all three of the team members I interacted with were friendly, helpful and just amazing!

There was an older gentleman who met me at the front door. He was doing some light cleaning but he looked up, smiled and made eye contact with me. Then he said "Go Bucky!". I literally laughed out loud because he had noticed that the shirt I was wearing had the W of the Wisconsin Badgers and not the W of the Nats. We ended up having a nice chat as he told me he had family in Wisconsin and was a big Badger fan. And when I left he was still there and he offered me a mint, which I accepted with gratitude.

While I was in the store, I had the sudden need to find a restroom (it's great gettin' old! ain't it?). I walked around looking for a bathroom sign but there wasn't one and so I asked a team member who walked by. She said she'd take me back to the staff restroom, which she did. She explained that it was an older store and they don't have bathrooms for customers so she apologized about that, which was totally unnecessary but nice, and took me to the staff bathroom.

And then at checkout, I did not have my Safeway card with me but the cashier pulled one out of his drawer and swiped it so I'd get my discount without having to go out to my car and come back in.

It ended up being one of the most positive visits I've had in a grocery store in a very long time. And it reminded me that when I moved to DC in 1992, Safeway was the go to shopping market. I don't know why I started going elsewhere but I think I'll be giving Safeway another visit very soon. I wonder if they are still a unionized shop? If they still are, I'll definitely come back and spend some dough. And of course, Go Bucky!

THEY HAVE FIREWOOD! Seems to be the only place in the Arlington area that currently has it. Dwayne was extremely helpful when I called to ask if they had any in stock - even went out of his way to pull two bundles and had them ready for us at checkout upon arriving to the store. Very impressed with his service.

This Safeway is always well stocked & still has a neighborhood atmosphere, so rare these days. Kuddos to the hard working & helpful staff, y'all rock !

Awesome place. Staff is great and helpful. The produce sectiom is awesome. Actually maybe even better than some of the giants that I've visoted in and around the area. Its a little bit of a walk from my place, but not too bad. The place doesnt look special from the outside but who cares. Shop here.

They were rearranging the store. So it made this visit hard to shop. I'm handicap so trying to get through the aisles were difficult. But the employee's were very helpful.

Very friendly cashier; I was having a most terrible day & the cashier changed all that. She was making jokes & cracking me up!! It was an absolutely wonderful shopping experience!!!

There is one wonderful lady that is in the checkout that I think is amazing. She is kind, always helpful, loves her family,and looks after people..

Safeway's the grocery store. If you need groceries, you should come here and buy groceries so that you will have groceries. They sell all kinds of groceries. Dog food, wine, mints, and raw toast.

Friendly staff and clean store. Always well stocked.

No complaints. Got what I came for and very efficient and friendly help from the checkout cashier.

My new Pharmacy who does not disappoint. They send texts when RXs are ready and grocery store just the right size.

Near my 0lace of work - all employees very friendly and helpful - a pleasure to shop!
