We bought a ford f350 from them, it was the best experience. the transaction went smoothly, the truck was in great conditions and he fixed any thing that he found wasn't up to par with his standards. We live in the virgin islands and we handle everything over the phone. One of the most trust worthy Car sale man out there.

I thought I was going to have a wonderful experience here. And the manager Rob Fontaine seemed like a stand up guy.

He will appear very honest and sincere. I really liked him as a person. Though I could immediately see his care factor wane after he had my check and trade in.

The point is: Be careful when buying a car from these guys. I bought a 2001 911 Carrera 4 for what would have been a fair Kelly BB value in GOOD condition. Rob assured me the car was good and the drive train was sound. It had been repainted and looked very nice.

Regardless of anything else I found initially there was a burning rubber smell after driving the car for a half hour that turned out to be a ball-peen hammer melted to the catalytic converter. That was just the beginning.

For instance he had the car listed on-line for $5,000.00 less than the price he quoted me and wouldn't even comment on it when I called him out. "as is" is all he'll answer you with.

The car spent more time in the shop for the first two months than on the road:
- Cooling system was filled with water instead of coolant.
- Thermostat was faulty (Car was overheating after the first night)
- Cooling fan resistors were faulty (Also contributing to overheating)
- Sunroof was faulty. Failed in the first 24 hours
- Passenger side window failed in the first 24 hours
- CD changer didn't work.
- Passenger seat electronics failed and drove the battery dead as well. Found the switch mechanism had been played with. Probably when they were recovered which he also stated he had done.
- Cupholder malfunctioned (Rob swears he fixed this himself. I found fasteners mismatched and pieces of the frame floating behind the center console when I really fixed it.)

These problems kept the car from being driven for over a month. Then we started to encounter squeaks and rattles in the suspension:
- Two bad struts in the front (Replaced all four and springs and sway bars to be sure.)
still squeaked.
When attempting to align the car my mechanic found:
- Bad bump stops
- Bad bearing plates
- Bad bushings
we replaced those.
Still squeaked...

- Replaced four control arms and the squeaking stopped.

- Air oil separator failed in the second month.

Be wary if he tells you he checked the IMS bearing on a 986, 996, 997. I found zero evidence to that effect. Though you want to believe him. Seems really nice. Remember. He's a car salesman.

- New clutch
- Replaced Cracked Flywheel
- Replaced IMS bearing with LN dual row IMS bearing.

I have put over $12,000.00 out of pocket into this car. I could have purchased a twin turbo from a reputable seller and had money left over. All Rob will tell you after the fact is "as is".

I'm staring at a car that is now worth more than $7,000.00 less than the money that I've had to put into it. Now I know why he was so interested in the extremely nice M3 that I traded him. You will not see a similar email from the person that purchased that car.

I would steer well clear of any car on this businesses lot. Especially Porsche. If had it to do over again I would still be driving my M3 looking for a 911 elsewhere.

I did approach them with this information by the way including pictures of the ball-peen hammer. They wouldn't even acknowledge the hammer. All I heard was "as is".

Not a pleasure doing business with you.
