We went here a couple times during our trip.. many different options from sitting at the different bars, the courtyard, getting a table, etc. Very good service. I also enjoyed their food. Jambalaya was probably my favorite. Was not a fan of the Hurricane.. too sweet for my liking.. just my opinion though. Definitely recommend stopping in!!

Love this place! The BEST hurricane you will ever find and great singing piano players! If you never had a good hurricane, you need to try this one. Only downside is that they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Cannot recommend this place enough for drinks and live music! The courtyard is such a cool place as well to hang out. There is a ton of seating, so even on a Friday night you should be able to grab something. They are famous for their hurricanes and they didn’t disappoint. I’ll warn you, they are STRONG!

After drinks in the courtyard, we headed inside to the area with the dueling pianos. If you’re not there early it’s standing room, but we eventually snagged a table. Servers were attentive and the musicians were awesome! It was a fun night!

Love the history. Bar has been here since 1940 and their hurricane is amazing. Little strong so I added a little extra sprite. Oh and their hurricane is on tap which is amazing. Across the hall they have a piano bar and a court yard where there is a restaurant . Highly recommend

Classic bar with gorgeous courtyard and piano bar.
Enjoy a hand crafted hurricane, mint julep , Sazerac or mojito, or anything else that comes to mind. Pat O'Brian 's is a must stop anytime you are in New Orleans French Quarter. The bartender was down to earth and super fast without seeming rushed.
A perfect place to while away the evening .

We went to Pat's because we needed to try a hurricane at the place it was invented. We went to the side bar. The hurricane was great, but really the bar itself was just fantastic. Chris, our bartender, was so friendly and helpful. We ended up having a few more drinks and just hanging out for a couple of hours.

I came here to try the famous Hurricane. It did not disappoint. I didn’t get a chance to go inside but we did sit in the courtyard. I had a great view of that fountain with fire. Ambience was very upbeat and lively. A lot of people are having a good time. We didn’t have to wait long to get seats. The Hurricane drink has rum, passion fruit juice, orange juice, lime juice, etc. You’ll find a cherry and orange slice on top. The taste is wonderful. You got tartness from the citrus fruits and a sufficient amount of rum. It’s a good drink for sipping and people watching.

A must go when in NOLA. The food is good, but you stay and focus on the piano bar and drinks!

Warning: the drinks are strong!

What a classic stop when in New Orleans. Get a hurricane, enjoy the dueling pianos, and take in the atmosphere of the courtyard. It's right next to Preservation Hall, and just off Bourbon St. so there's no reason not to stop by!

Home of the hurricane! The servers were so fast and friendly. The patio is a nice escape from the rest of Bourbon Street. Didn't get to try food but definitely look forward to it in the future. Also, many bathrooms upstairs!

Chris is the most amazing bartender I have ever seen! He is lighting speed with all drinks, no matter how complicated. He regularly checks on all guests at the bar to ensure satisfation. And he does this all with a flourish and flair for the history of this bar, and the french quarter. He tells stories and makes connections with people instantly. He make the experience fun! He is also super funny, sweet, and knowledgable. One of the best bartenders I have ever met in my entire life.

We stopped by Pat O'Brien's to take a break from exploring the area. I'm not much of a mixed drink person but I ordered a Hurricane because I was at Pat O'Brien's, and that's a thing to do there. Those things are delicious! And a bit dangerous, as they taste so good I downed two of them, knowing they are supposed to have 4 shots each of alcohol in them. We left, but came back another day to take another break and I again had a few Hurricanes. There are a few more areas to Pat O'Brien's that we peeked into but didn't really explore, but we will the next time we visit.

Great live music and Hurricane drink! We had fun at the courtyard. They say that have the “world famous” Hurricane! They are not wrong! I’ve had couple of Hurricanes during my trip! And by far, this is the best.
