This local grocery store is better than any chain. What I love most about the food co-op is that they have fresh prepared vegetarian and vegan food. You can always count on the co-op to have prepared food with a homemade feel and a variety of healthy and locally sourced food. A good way to support local is to patronizing the co-op.

Wow, a new day has dawned at the Co-Op, definitely best prices for high quality natural and organic foods in downtown area. Prepared vegan foods are so yummy!

Great place to refill my water containers very convenient location

Was almost scared away from going here due to some of the reviews but so glad I went! They have a fantastic bulk section with great selection and while its definitely pricey, I enjoyed the experience of shopping here. They may have replaced some of the staff workers because every employee I came across was very friendly. The sink is certainly not dirty. I personally don't find a 10% discount on overpriced produce appealing enough to become a member but that may not be the case for everyone. Overall, I will be going back for specific items (and the bulk section) but likely won't be coming here for my primary grocery shopping.

The New Orleans Food Co-Op has locally grown produce the store is stocked with a wide variety of food products and household goods that are more gentle on the environment than regular popular brands. One of my favorite items is artisanal sourdough bread by Susan Spicer. see new things there every time I shop there.

A nice co-op with lots of sustainable and Earth friendly choices. They have a good selection of beers, too. The people that work there are very friendly.

Prices high but very cool place n love home grown food!!

Great selection of healthy, quality food, very clean and well organized. Wonderful, extremely helpful staff. There is a very large selection of loose seeds and beans to be purchased by weight. Freshly made in-house sushi, salads and soups. Beautiful, local produce and eggs. Great selection of vegetarian and vegan food.

Friendly staff, clean store as well. Nice selection of groceries, skincare products and health goods. I also love that they carry premium sodas, incense and candles!

I LOVE FOOD CO-OPS!

We stumbled into this neighborhood grocery from the lobby off of Island of Salvation and indulged in some really cute gifts (a plant, insect repelling incense sticks, a zipper pouch). We were only in town for the weekend, so grocery shopping wasn't really in the itinerary, but happy we found this cute spot!

This is such a great place with a wonderful variety of food. Good parking and very organized place.

I love the co-op and have had many visits there, even though I do not live in NOLA. I love my co-op in Pittsburgh, pa. All the food I have bought in these stores, had been Great! We need more co-op stores which hsve membership input.

They have interesting items from local growers. Usually a fair selection of vegan products, nice incense and teas.

You can't compare a CO-OP grocery to huge for profit chains like whole foods, Walmart,ect.A co-op is a business owned by its customers, members of the local community. So when you shop there you aren't just supporting the store but a whole community with hundreds of members! So no... it's not like wholefoods or Winn Dixie, it's much much better. And I am proud to be one :D Amazing staff! Great selection! I'd much rather support this small local CO-OP and it's local members and employees than Whole Foods. It's a really special store, great vibrations.

This is a real co-op. Just a small store but they have just about everything you would need. Including candles incense, local produce a small salad bar and tons and tons of munchies. The healthy kind of munchies. Very good variety for such a small store.

Great store for a lot of different unique items. Not going to be your grocery store with meat and chicken and stuff like that there but it definitely does the job and has a good variety!. Definitely try to shop here other than a regular grocery store to help out the community

I’m glad to be a member of this co-op. Great spot for most grocery runs. They seem to have most everything you need for day-to-day essentials. They have AMAZING local produce and a lot times have interesting varieties of veggies.
