We had an AMAZING experience at this hotel. The service was phenomenal, the staff was extremely friendly and communicative. The rooms were beautiful and cozy. This place is a perfect location for exploring the French Quarter and all it has to offer!

As for the spooky side, we believe this place is absolutely haunted. We did a ghost hunt with Gators & Ghosts in the back house, and captured some amazing evidence with them. In our room, we had sheets being tugged off of us, drawers opened, stuff moved, and heard footsteps all over our room. If you are into the paranormal, this is a great place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Andrew Jackson Hotel on 3/29. The hotel is an older building and might not have some of the big chain amenities, but you can’t beat the character of the place, and the location was outstanding - right smack dab in the middle of the French Quarter, extremely walkable to anywhere you need to go. The outdoor private courtyard is a great plus!

The staff were all friendly but Adam really stood out as going above and beyond. He was extremely helpful in every aspect of our stay (more than any other hotel employee I’ve encountered at any property!) and had some great ghost stories to share. (Yes, the property is haunted! We didn’t see anything in our stay but even before I knew anything about the history of the hotel, I walked into our room and felt like something was there with us. I’m kind of glad we didn’t know the full history of that particular room until after we left!) We will definitely be returning our next NOLA trip.

Adam at the front desk was amazing and made our stay so enjoyable! The front desk always had fresh lemon water and that was much appreciated. The courtyard made for an awesome place to hangout and relax. Andrew the cat was the cherry on top, we loved him so much. Seriously this place rocks! It's also allegedly haunted which certainly added some excitement to the trip! Shoutout to the amazing staff who made our trip a breeze! Andrew the cat- we love you!

Within walking distance of everything in the French Quarter including Bourbon Street. The front desk is super helpful and friendly. The rooms were nice and clean and the air conditioner is great on hot days. And the courtyard is perfect to relax when you need fresh air with a water fountain to view.

It's more like a guesthouse than a hotel; rooms up the stairs, down the hall. But good rooms and really good beds. Shower's hot and water pressure's good. And on the balcony an automatic plant watering system kicks in in the mornings some days. 90 degrees outside and the A/C was adequate. Friday night we must have got about ten ghost tours out front. Delightful. Nice to stay someplace easy just a three minute walk to Jackson Square.

So, I stayed at this beautiful hotel the last 2 nights. Everything was perfect! I was in room 109. The first night I was woken up at 2 am to the sound of people stomping around in yhe room above me. This went on for 20 mins or so and I finally went to the front desk and asked the clerk to go up stairs and tell them to chill out. Well he came back down stairs and told me there was no one in that room! So whatever was making that noise wS NOT a person. The next morning I was woken up at 6:45 am to someone tapping their finger on my ankle. I knew it was a spirit so I said out loud "knock it the F off" 5 minutes later I felt the end of my bed sink down as if someone sat on my bed. I kicked my foot so hard that I kick the wall and hurt my foot!!! I never thought in a million years that the ghost stories about this hotel were true but they 100% are!!!! I packed up my stuff and left 2 days early and headed back home. I was exhausted from the lack of sleep. With that being said, if you are into the paranormal than I suggest staying in room #109. Trust Mr, you will NOT be disappointed!!!

The hotel is located right in the perfect location for Bourbon Street, French Market, and all the places you'd want to visit. It is very walkable and Chris at the front desk is amazing. My only comment would be that since it's in the heart of everything, it will be noisy at night. So, if you are a light sleeper, make sure you have earplugs.

Christopher at the front desk went above and beyond to help us feel at home. He showed us 3 rooms that we could pick from & was VERY informative about the area. Ian, however, was quite the opposite... We had an issue with the TV and all he said was the maintenance people at the sister hotel would deal with it when they get to it....

Me and my boyfriend were greeted by Lauren at the front desk after at 2 am after our flight had gotten delayed 4 hours. Even though we were exhausted and cranky, the demeanor of front desk cheered us up right away. She didn't give you that generic welcome you get at something like a best western, it was as if we were coming into a friends home. This feeling was extended through to the entire staff, with everyone being an absolute delight. We were celebrating my 30th and they surprised us by upgrading us to a suite with a balcony!! I cannot even begin to express how much this made the trip. Being able to sip hurricanes (we recommend Lafittes down the street) while people watching in the rain is a memory we will never forget. Also, the location of this place is amazing; you are never more than a 10-minute walk away from anything! Book this place. Honestly, I can't even begin to imagine why anyone would want to stay anywhere else. We will without a doubt be back again! Thank you a billion Andrew Jackson Hotel!!

Chris was so knowledgeable about the hotel and the neighborhood! He had great stories from previous guests who had been "haunted" and was very accommodating in our check out process and getting back our valeted car. He clearly loves this hotel and his job and gives a great example of excellent hospitality.

If you truly want to FEEL New Orleans this is an amazing place to stay! It was perfect! Not only is it a piece of history but it was very well kept for a building over 100 years old and perfect distance from LITERALLY anything you’d want to do ! The staff was the cherry on top thee most friendly hotel workers I’ve ever encountered. This won’t be like a giant hotel chain it will be BETTER!

I was traveling on my own, and the smaller room they offer with queen bed was just what I needed. They do have larger rooms available, but I didn't see what they are like.

The courtyard is very pleasant and the overall location is perfect for getting anywhere in the French Quarter on foot. I didn't have to deal with a car while I was there, though it did seem the parking situation was extremely limited. That's true of pretty much the entire French Quarter though, just something to be aware of if it's your first time.

Also keep in mind that part of being in a historic building is that it is old, and old buildings can have typical old building problems. This one's no exception. Staff is proactive about getting maintenance to address issues, but nobody can predict them before they happen. Staff is also generally available and ready to address any room needs (more toiletries, etc).

Overall I had an enjoyable stay, and I'll check for availability here when I plan my next visit.

This place was amazing! Chris (AJ employee) was our go to for ANY dining or exploration details and suggestions. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay at this hotel was perfect. Rooms were clean and cozy. Courtyard clean and peaceful. Service, top tier. Thanks Chris! We will be back.

Great quiet spot for enjoying the Bourbon St neighborhood! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed learning about the history of the site as well. The hotel definitely has lots of antique charm, but had modern comfortable amenities (clean modern bathrooms, air conditioning, etc).

I stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. The rooms are old as majority of the previous reviews have written but regardless I found them well maintained. Staff is extremely friendly and I enjoyed the small hotel feel everyone talked to one another and got along. The two employees at the front desk I interacted with the most were Stephen and Scott and they were extremely helpful.

Absolute perfect NOLA experience! If you’re looking for that old school New Orleans traditional feeling this is the place for you to stay. It’s so very lovely. The staff are so nice and we thoroughly enjoyed the courtyard. It’s a very short walk to the coffee shop on the corner, bourbon a couple blocks away or to any of the many restaurants in this area. I stay here every time we visit NOLA.

Nice hotel with amazing service. The rooms are fresh and clean. The beds and pillows are comfy. It's an old historical building with period decor. If you want modern this hotel is not for you but if you love historic buildings this will not disappoint. I will definitely stay here again. Beware parking is hard to find if the valet is full and it's 40.00 a night.

I had a very interesting experience at the Andrew Jackson Hotel room 204. When I arrived I was wearing a white bra underneath my clothes. Monday night I took it off and put it in my suitcase to be worn again. The rest of my clothes went into my dirty laundry. Tuesday I woke up and I noticed pretty quick that my bra was gone. I told my partners and we looked everywhere but couldn't find it. I put on my other bra which was tan. I had a great day out in NOLA and then came back and looked for it again Tuesday evening. No luck. Wednesday morning, before leaving for the day, I yelled at the ceiling "I want my bra back". We came and went throughout the day, and our last activity was a river boat tour. We arrived to our room for the evening, the next morning we were set to check out. I was heating up some food for my partner, I turned around and there sitting in the middle of the floor, couldn't be more obvious, was my bra.

Overall, it was great experience, the staff was very friendly and helpful, they recommended the scenic route to FL, which we took, it was an enjoyable and pleasant route, driving along the coast.
The bed too was very comfortable, after driving for so long from Austin, TX to New Orleans, it was nice to sleep on a comfortable bed. The hotel is pet friendly as well, the staff was very nice to my puppy, even gave her a treat.
The hotel is in the French quarter, which is walkable to Cafe du Monde, which is also friendly to my puppy.
Overall, it was great experience.
