Went here with my 17 year old brother, this barber shop is truly top notch. After spending about 15 minutes consulting on the hair style for my weekend wedding, the skilled stylist styled and trimmed it neatly. He also used hair gel to help my hair fall into place quickly. They also thoughtfully guided me on how to dry my hair and apply styling gel. The new and unique hairstyle has changed my face. My wife really likes this new hairstyle. Highly recommended!

Despite arriving late for my appointment, the staff at this salon handled the situation with professionalism and grace. They were incredibly understanding and still managed to provide excellent service. I appreciate their flexibility and dedication to customer satisfaction.

David gave an outstanding haircut! But, there's much more to this place than just the haircut.

Upon arrival, I noticed one of the barbers smoking a cigarette right outside the door. Walking through that smoke was a strange mix of nostalgia and disgust as I haven’t had a cigarette in four years. But it'd been some time since I had a haircut--like months, and I was straggly and yesterday was really the first moment I had to take some time.

The door was open, but blocked by a dog gate, with a friendly puppy running around inside.

One thing that stood out was the physical interactions. Fist bumps, hands on the shoulder—it didn’t feel like I was a stranger meeting these guys for the first time; it felt more like we’d known each other forever. The barbershop felt less like a place to get a haircut and more like a community space where haircuts also just serendipitously occured.

It was peculiar to see a plethora of barbers and me the only customer. This might be the number of bad reviews that have been left--one of the reoccuring themes is that The Bearded Man place doesn't open on time. And the barber who'd been smoking started fiddling with the computer and kept interrupting my haircut to ask David for help. David, to his credit, handled the moment gracefully, saying, "Let me finish this first." But there didn’t seem to be a strong sense of priority.

The atmosphere did give off a bit of a laid-back ADHD but also felt like a kind of "this is who we are, either take us or leave us" attitude.

They asked what had brought me in. I was looking for a new barber because my previous hairdresser was let go from their salon for being too gay but really because all the old women were losing business to the gay hairdresser.

This sparked a whole conversation about LGBTQ+ acceptance, which was very cool. I was even given a Mark Wahlberg movie recommendation: Joe Bell, which I haven't seen, but probably going to be a weekend watch, but also probably going to be a tear jerker of a film.

Anyway.

Very awesome The Bearded Man is LGBTQ+ welcoming.

Their black rolling toolboxes, filled with razors, scissors, and other tools, were a nice "manly" touch. The Sanex strip was the tightest sanex strip I've ever had wrapped around my neck and I appreciated that. A real blade to shave meyneck and some detail work around my beard. The shaving cream was warm.

They padded me down with Pinaud-Clubman (I think?), an aftershave that opens with a bit of a sour and yet sweet lemon lime aroma, an orange smell, layered with bergamot notes. Fresh, sharp, energizing, fading into a casual herbal lavender. It was the first hair cut I've had in a very long time where I didn't have to shower right after to remove all the itchy hair.

Look, The Bearded Man is very laissez-faire-hip, and you have to be prepared for it. Don't expect a quick haircut here. This takes some time, as no one is in a hurry.

I stumbled upon The Bearded Man Barbershop and am so glad I did. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is friendly, and the haircut I received was top-notch. Highly recommend!!

Love this place! I have brought my 3 year old son here a few times for a haircut and they have been amazing. They do a great job on his hair but are also super welcoming and friendly towards my boy making it comfortable and a great experience overall!

Got a walk in with a skilled barber, no wait and no problem. LGBTQ, some establishments won’t provide service but this shop did.

The staff are extremely friendly, they were able to give me the haircut I explaineddefinitely will be my regular Barber.

Went in for a quick headshave and got exactly that. Relaxing atmosphere with barbers who enjoy their work. Would recommend.

Today my my son went in for a haircut for his birthday and had the best experience. This guy was was the only one working and yet put us first. He made the mistake of charging me twice on my sons birthday so he gave me $30 to help with my sons birthday. Overall I’m forever thankful for this guy and I feel like I truly know him now. So humble and kind he deserves a raise.

My first time stopping at The Bearded Man was almost a year ago and completely on a whim, and I've been going here ever since. (Current photo is not current haircut, by many years. I don't keep this profile up to date. Sorry :D).

The staff here are friendly, talented and knowledgeable. My first time going here, I had a certain look in mind, and I'd been having a real hard time finding someone who could do it right. My barber at The Bearded Man listened to what I wanted and talked through it with me until she was sure we had the same image in mind. I've been getting this haircut with her ever since! I was even given some solid advice on what kinds of products would work best for me. Honestly, I've felt more confident about my hair and overall look since I started going here.

Wait times fluctuate depending on day of week / time of day but it's never been that bad. I've always had a good time here and the atmosphere is perfect. Staff and customers alike chime into the barbershop banter, and if that doesn't entertain you there's a TV and free refreshments like coffee and beer! Paying a visit here is always well worth it.

I highly recommend The Bearded Man over any other barbershops I've visited.
